220v transformer used for L7

Im in a bit of a pinch and am spiraling to find a solution before hanging my head and selling (most likely at a loss). Has anyone tried running one L7 miner from a 125v (20amp) circuit using a 5000w step up transformer? I added a link to the one I am thinking about trying below. Am I going to damage the machine is this doesn’t work out? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

or maybe on 2, 20amp, circuits with something like this?

Stupid question about powering an L7

I recently pulled the trigger on an L7 bc I got one at what I feel was a great price and now I am regretting it a bit. I have only ever mined with L3s. I feel like the answer to this is a hard no but could you power an L7 on 2 20amp 110v lines that are on separate circuits? Or is there an adapter that I could combine the 2 outlets and use it with a 22v PDU? Any recommendations would be appreciated; I rent so It's hard to just run a new 220v line.

Mining Wallet

I’ve doing some research and what is the best wallet to mine to. I was mining direct to RH so it was easier to sell my coins in the long run but with the pressure of the SEC (I don’t think anything will happen but just in case) I wanna start mining to a hot wallet. I have a ledger but I hear that having too many UTXO’s will cause issues down the road so now I’m stuck on what wallet to use, I’ve downloaded Trust Wallet but I’m not sure if I’ll have the same UTXO issue on TW as well. Can someone please provide some guidance 🙏🏾

Lack of available units on EBAY

Interesting as there have always been a few used units at any given time until recently. I have not seen a unit listed for over a month. I don’t think the L9’s will have the same catastrophic havoc the L7’s had on the L3’s. The L9 is definitely a better machine but not to the extent the L7’s on the L3’s. I still think the price point will come out considerably lower than what Bitmain could have got had they waited 6-9 months longer. I’m thinking these units are priced at about 12k .. we will know in a few days

Thank you guys for the info, temps are down now. Let’s just say I’m embarrassed how dusty/dirty my l7 was

Wish I took a pic before I started to clean/air blow it. It was filled with dust and daddy Long leg spiders and giant mosquito eaters from being in my garage. Dropped my temps quite a bit. And now back to normal mining instead of low power mode 🙌🏼

Any idea why temp on first board a lot higher? They’re usually relatively close

Usually they sit within 5 digits of each other this the first time I see this much of a difference. It’s been in my garage mining for the past year. I have an inline duct fan hooked up to each side at 720CFM ( I removed stock fans).

Choosing a mining pool

Hi guys. What do you guys look for in a mining pool? The fees? Payout frequency? Transparency? Would appreciate you sharing your opinions.

New L9 releases earlier than prior generational Scrypt miners

Priced at 15600-17000 with a current net of 33.5 at .12 kWh electricity.. I’m going to sit back and wait for the PRO model that is Rumored to already in the waiting as Bitmain sees what other competitors drop. Definitely not worth 15,000+.. 10-12 is more realistic

Just plugged in a Mini Doge 2

I know it's not very profitable currently but coming from a 50+ lb A2 Terminator back in 2014/2015, this thing blows me away. Over 4 times as fast and under half the power consumption and it's so quiet 🤯

I'm keeping my eyes open for a 3 to pop up on eBay but will likely have another MD2 on the way soon. Happy to be back in the game!

Bitmain sucks on after sale support

Literally trying to find a board for an L7 is a nightmare. Recently i was quoted 2700 for 1. If you have multiple units you are better off buying and extra machine and cannibalizing it for parts. If I send a board to 2 places and neither can fix it then it pretty much junk

Looking for legit vendor for an L7 of any MH. Only willing to buy with credit card for fraud protection and won't be buying from any small resellers on reddit so save yourself the time. Let me know where you bought yours and how much, thanks!

Innosilicon A2 Image

Anyone have one floating around? I can put the behemoth back to work with free power so it will actually be profitable! Found some old download links for mega.nz, but they are empty now. Thanks!

Transaction stuck in mempool

I did what I thought was a simple sendtoaddress command from command line using

litecoin-cli sendtoaddress "ltcxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" 0.5

When I do a listtransactions, the confirmations is still 0 after an hour. The fee on the transaction is whatever was applied by default. On the listtransactions it shows the "fee": -0.00079065.

Fortunately, I just did a small amount. What did I do wrong and is there any way to get it out of the mempool if it is stuck with 0 confirmations?

edit: It looks like it might not have to do with the tx fee at all. I noticed that in the listtransactions block it has the following:

"bip125-replaceable": "unknown"

All my other "send" txs have "no". My other transactions were done through the gui. How do I fix that? Can anyone walk me through the proper steps to send via command line?

L7 Bitco-Inc/Alibaba legitimate wholesalers?

We've all been dealing with Crypto scams for since the start of the ASIC wars

Is it possible to get L7s for 2k USD at whole sale or is every website and seller on Alibaba a scammer selling at such low prices. I've had reputable vendors quote me for 3.2k USD, but 2k USD seems to good to be true from random ones.

Not looking for advice, more so past experiences you might have had which seemed to good to be true but ended up working out for you.

Innosilicon A4+ Reset Firmware Password?

Edit: Solved! Attached below how I found the config file and got the password directly :)

  1. Open a command prompt or terminal on your PC, this will need to be on the same network as your A4 and you'll need to know your A5's IP address (probably 192.168.1.254)

You will need to have the telnet program installed so if you don't then you'll need to Google how to install it on your operating system.

  1. Test that your A4 is on the network using

Code: ping 192.168.1.254

If that doesn't respond then you'll need to try other methods to get it on the network (flashing the firmware using the microSD card worked for me).

If you have multiple A4s then make sure only 1 is on the network or you will get IP address conflicts if they are all on the default address.

  1. Connect to the telnet server on the A4

Code: telnet 192.168.1.254 8100

  1. Enter the username and password:

Code:

username:root

password:innot1t2

  1. Change to the folder containing the password file

Code:

cd /home/www/conf

  1. Edit the password file with vi as follows:

Code:

vi password

Press the insert key on your keyboard to enter editing mode

If there is no password then enter 12345678

If there is a password then note it down or change to your choice

  1. Now save the password file

enter the key sequence

Code:

escape :wq enter

Anyone know how to reset the firmware password on an Innosilicon A4+ ASIC?

I just bought 3 used A4+ but don't know the admin password for them. The previous owner is MIA and has yet to respond to msgs. Is there a way to reset it or completely wipe the machine by doing a firmware upgrade/reflash?

I tried holding the reset button while powering on but doesn't seem to affect the password, none of the online password options I tried worked.
"12345678" : "innot1t2" : " t1t2t3a5 "

Any help is appreciated, trying to get this thing back up and running but I'm stuck without the password and can't change the pool configs.
