COVER ALBUM?

Okay so TWO THINGS:

• I wanna know who’s coming to the Winter Garden, Eastbourne show! What songs are you hoping to hear? I need that Job Centre Shuffle to be honest 🩵

• would anyone be interested if I was to create an entire album of covers of the KC, but specifically the slightly less popular ones…? I’m talking tunes like Meanwhile Up In Heaven, Job Centre Shuffle, My Place Is Here, Why Do You Do It To Me, Team Mate etc. Please do let me know of any rare gems you think would sound cool!🕺

Why is 'Start The Revolution Without Me' not considered a studio album

After seeing that 8 albums have already been released by them (Employment, Yours Truly, Angry Mob, Off With Their Heads, The Future Is Medieval, Start The Revolution Without Me, Education, Education, Education & War, Stay Together, Duck), and that they called their new album 'Kaiser Chiefs' Easy Eighth Album', I had to go back and see which album wasn't included as a official release and saw that it was 'Start The Revolution Without Me'.

Anyone know why that is?

employment not on apple music

noticed employment is not on the band’s apple music at all; i can only listen to a few songs off of movie soundtracks lol. looking online i’ve noticed that there have been a few issues with their albums being unplayable before but i haven’t seen anything about this particular case (just one apple support request from a few years ago), since it has completely disappeared from their profile (still viewable in my library, but greyed out and unplayable). was wondering if anyone has noticed the same thing and if this is just some kind of issue i’ll have to wait to be fixed? im a really casual listener of the band so idk if this is just something they like to do or what lol.

For those of you here who saw the band live, where & when did you first see them live, & at what venue? Have you gone back to see them multiple times since then?

I have never seen the band live myself.

Employment came out 3 days before my 6th birthday, and Yours Truly came out when I was 7. Off with their heads came out when I was 9, and The Future Is Medieval came out when I was 12. EEEAW came out when I was 15 and Stay Together came out when I was 17. Duck came out when I was 20.

The first few times they came near to where I live in the U.S. under the Kaiser Chiefs name was when they played the Mercury Lounge on February 14th, 2005 (I was 5 years old then), then they played at the Late Show with David Letterman on March 30th, 2005 (I was 6 years old) then at the Bowery Ballroom on March 25th, 2005 (again I was 6 years old), then finally at Webster Hall on July 21st, 2005 (yet again I was 6 years old), whilst they were on their Employment tour, but I was too young to see them plus two of those nights were school nights. The next time they came near me was when they played at the Roseland Ballroom on April 12th, 2007 (I was 8 years old), and then at the Beacon Theatre on September 29th, 2007 (again I was 8 years old), when they were on their Yours Truly tour. Again, too young, plus one of those nights was a school night. The next time they came near me was when they played two shows at Madison Square Garden on July 27th-28th, 2009 (I was 10 years old), whilst they were on their Off With Their Heads tour. I was too young for those shows, again. Then the next time they came was when they played at Terminal 5, on March 8th, 2012 (two days before my 13th birthday, so I was 12 years old), and then when they played at the Late Show with David Letterman on April 11th, 2012 (I was 13 years old), during their Start the Revolution Without Me Tour. I was finally old enough to go, but both of those nights were school nights, so I couldn’t go. Then the next time they played near me was at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on February 19th, 2014 (I was 14 years old), then they played at Webster Hall on June 20th, 2014 (I was 15 years old), then they played at Vapor on June 22nd, 2014 (I was 15 years old), and then they played at the Irving Plaza on May 13th, 2015 (I was 16 years old) all on their EEEAW tour. Again, old enough to go, but some of the dates fell on school nights or I was away at summer camp.

They haven’t played near me since then, and it’s been nearly 10 years since they last played here. I really would like to see them, though.

KAISER CHIEFS announce their ‘EASY EIGHTH ALBUM’ & headline UK tour for spring 2024

Almost two decades in the game and armed with an extensive back-catalogue of stadium belters and record-breaking success, Kaiser Chiefs return with their brand new studio album, the aptly titled Kaiser Chiefs’ Easy Eighth Album**, out March 1st 2024.**

Produced by Amir Amor (Rudimental), Kaiser Chiefs’ Easy Eighth Album sees the band return with a fresh and bold new sound. From the Nile Rodgers co-write of new single ‘Feeling Alright’, to the frantic ‘Beautiful Girl’, horn-laden Kaiser Chiefs throwback ‘Job Centre Shuffle’ and the joyous punch in the gut that is ‘Jealousy’, these ten tracks are a true statement of intent from a band that continues to deliver the goods again and again.

The album announcement arrives off the back of roaring success with previous releases ‘Jealousy’ & ‘How 2 Dance’, as well as a big UK arena headline tour at the end of last year.

On the band’s new single, Ricky Wilson explains: “On the first day with Nile Rodgers, he said ‘what have you got?’ We searched through some jams we had and this was a song that stood out to him. The band loved playing it round and round, and it must be fun to play but we never really knew where it would find a home. Nile turned out to be the best estate agent and found it a home almost immediately. He also brought in Amir, who turned out to be our housemate for the entire record. A good place to start!” https://www.xsnoize.com/kaiser-chiefs-announce-their-easy-eighth-album-headline-uk-tour-for-spring-2024/

Coming up for air on The Future is Medieval

At the end of the song there’s an instrumental part where there is a quiet monologue in the background. Anyone know what the guy is saying?

The Nick Hodgson Era

Hey guys. I've recently been on a Kaiser Chiefs binge.

I used to be absolutely obsessed with these guys in the early days, heck, they were even the first band I ever saw live, back in 2007.

However, after Nick Hodgson left, I've genuinely not liked any of the albums since.

Was just wondering if any other fans really missed that era of the Chiefs?

What song?

Hey guys, was at a Kaiser Chiefs concert recently because I used to be super into them and wanted to go see them. Heard a song and I think it was the chorus where they just laughed. Like a proper A-hahahahahahahaha and I didn’t get the name of the song. Anyone know? Thanks!

KAISER CHIEFS return with brand new single ‘How 2 Dance’

Almost two decades in the game and armed with an extensive back-catalogue of stadium belters, and record-breaking success, Kaiser Chiefs triumphantly return with their brand new single ‘How 2 Dance’, the first taste from their forthcoming new album. You can hear it live from November 5th when they kick start their UK Arena tour at London’s 02.

*“We really wanted to make a song that put together all the things we were trying to get right over the last three records,”* Ricky Wilson says of this intoxicating new track. “For the first time in a long time we have teamed up with the two guys who originally signed us to B Unique. They’ve watched us grow, seen our ups and downs, and in many ways understand us better than we do.” https://bityl.co/FSUc
