So this is a long shot, back when I was a tween, early teen, so 2010-2013 I came across an artist/ band (man and a woman) I can only describe 2 of the music videos I remember, also adding that they had split for a moment and the man went to like Alaska for some time? Anyways, first music video it was Alice in wonderland themed, the girl falls down a hole like in the city and ends up in a nightclub. The other music video I remember the male singer being in a basement with a sheet over him like a ghost and he was singing into a microphone in pretty sure. This has been eating at my brain for the last decade so PLEASE help me try to find them😭 it’s like a bad itch I can’t scratch until I hear them again.
Does anyone know what happened to the artist Lord Smiling? He had an amazing track titled "Astray" that gained alot of traction on IG and other platforms. The song was incredible and I miss listening to it on repeat. Obviously he wasn't famous enough for the public to know his given name, I just think the fans that fell in love with his music deserve answers an I hope he's ok, lol
Aldous Harding - Horizon (Live)
Simple but emotionally intense song. I love how she uses simple chords and simple gestures, and a contorted face to amplify the emotional intensity. For example at the end of the song she uses her hands to gesture the 2 choices she is offering which are either 'Your princess' or 'The horizon'. Simple but powerful. Girlfriend is feeling some pain. She sounds like she is suffering for her artistry.
Hey so I am looking for this song: Insignificance Specimen by Linda Farogis album My Noise and release date: 2023-10-20. I cannot find it anywhere on the internet and would appreciate some help!
Hi, I'm looking for a song from roughly the 00's
It was in the UK charts don't know where it charted and a music video was released for it.
Female solo singer, black, rock and r&b vibe. Only lyrics I remember are the chorus that goes like:
"What'cha, what'cha, what'cha, what'cha, what'cha, what'cha gonna do?"
And the bridge before chorus was something like "we gonna take ya down" then on to the chorus.
I thought it was Beverley Knight as similar powerful sounding voice, but couldn't find anything on her albums with that song. Nothing on YouTube. Checked a few lyric who could it be websites and they told me a few that weren't accurate I.e. alesha dixon or jamelia.
Thanks
I've seen old videos of their band and it had people packed in the b&a clubs I think if you listen to one of their songs you'll really enjoy it like me

Hey, 20F here. I have listened to music throughout my life. For past 4 years, I wanted to make hip hop music (lyrical and rnb type). In my country, it recently started to blow up. I’ve seen it grow from nothing to something. I always wanted to be part of cyphers and studio sessions with artists. Hip hop has become my home. I always wanted to make music but all my life people told me I shouldn’t by terribly (they never took me in school choir). I am offbeat too. It’s very difficult for me to understand music/tunes. But I still want to make music. After all these years of thinking about making music, I never did and I’m scared I never will. I see other girls do what I wanted to do. They live life of what I always dreamt of. My parents are Indian and they never supported my love for music. They stopped me from listening to rap. They’ll never let me go to music school or take music classes. I’m tired of supporting myself financially and still getting stopped by my parents for making music. Please, help. Music brings me happiness but it has started to hurt deep.
