Where did all the love go? Oh wait, it’s right here! I came across a deal for Alchemist's Euphoria on vinyl for £9.44, seems like a steal compared to what I’ve seen around and delivery is free if you are also in the UK and spend £10. Thought I’d do the honourable thing and pass it along in case anyone’s looking for a copy!
I’m selling 1x General Admission ticket for the Kasabian (featuring Blossoms) show at The Forum in Melbourne on March 11. DM if interested :)
I’ve always really struggled to enjoy this album and I want to know what the base opinion on it is
Right at the start of the song they say "overbite, secret handshake" and I haven't got a clue why they're talking about overbites and was wondering if anybody knows
Could be interesting.
Fucking love LOVE Butcher Blues! Fucking love LOVE Club Foot!
Butcher Blues is a fantastic song on headphones. Sadly, no video for it.
Club Foot is the penultimate "lets go!" song. Energizing.
What say you my friends?
Did anyone get tickets for kasabian at Shephards bush for brits week? Think the price is very extortionate but I'll still go due to my love for kasabian
Personally I really like fir crying out loud it's probably one of my favourite Kasabian albums.
I have a lot of nostalgia surrounding it because my dad used to play it in the car all the time when he would pick me up from school and it makes me think of thoes memories. And it's the album that properly got me into Kasabian.
It also has some great songs such as Wasted, Your in love with a pyscho, the party never ends and comeback kid
Overall I really don't get why people hate this album especially since in my mind I think empire or happening are weaker. But I only got love for kasabian still and I listen to all of their music.
This is a text version, as the one on Tiermaker doesn't have Happenings.
S Tier: West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, Velociraptor! and Kasabian (Self Titled)
A Tier: The Alchemist's Euphoria
B Tier: 48.13, For Crying Out Loud
C Tier: Empire, Happenings.
I didn’t get the chance to get tickets for it when serge was doing his little thing and I’ve always wondered how it was
Think they all are amazing but what would u guys rank the lowest
I wanted to go to a festival abroad this year but I haven’t seen one with as good a line up as Truck Festival (IMO of course). What’s are your views on how Kasabian will approach it? Will it still be the Happenings Tour or more a greatest hits? I’m not sure they’ve ever done something like that. I mean their first album came out a year before Silent Alarm and Bloc Party have been touring that for years, not complaining I’ve seen it twice and it’s amazing. Personally I’d like to see a slightly different show, I saw them 5 times last year. However, I would be more than happy to see the same again, it was fucking magical every time.
Personally, mine are: 1: Underdog, 2: Fire, 3: Empire, 4: Club foot, 5: L.S.F, 6: You’re in love with a psycho, 7: Doomsday, 8: Stevie, 9: Vlad the impaler, 10: Ill ray (the king)
Hello fellow Kasabian fans,
I'm coming to the UK in April/May this year and i'm wondering if there are any must see places to dive into Kasabian history etc - I've got a lot of oasis placed marked since they're well known and easy to find but Kasabian not so much... Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Apologies in advance if this isn’t allowed on the subreddit but I felt I just needed to get it off my chest.
During Fire in the encore at their show at The O2 last year, I (male) was sexually assaulted by another guy in the standing section. Serge was telling everyone to get low in the crowd before the final chorus when I felt a hand grab my crotch from behind. I’m almost certain it was another male as there weren’t any women in the section I was in.
I think this is sexual assault, I’m not too sure though. It’s pretty difficult to listen to the song now as I just get flashbacks to it which is such a shame as it’s one of my favourites by them.
I’ve seen a lot of people shitting on serges vocals on fire, underdog, etc when I think he’s doing absolutely amazing I just wanted to see some perspectives on why some people are so against serge singing
It's a beautiful song, makes me feel emotional with its sentiment which isn't one kasabian typically go in for, very simple but lovely and all about nostalgia and trying to be a better person (as I understand it). I think Velociraptor is criminally overlooked, one of their best in my opinion. Biased because its the one I saw them perform at Reading but still, so much deeper and better than FCOL, TAU or Happenings (and I like all of those). Thoughts?
Mine: Kasabian - Club foot Empire - Stuntman WRPLA - Take Aim / West Ryder Silver Bullet Velociraptor! - Switchblade Smiles 48:13 - treat / bumblebeee FCOL - Sixteen Blocks / Ill Ray Alchemist's Euphoria - ALCHEMIST / SCRIPTVRE Happenings - Italian Horror / Hell of It
Serge Pizzorno + Noel Fielding + Christmas = fun for the whole family
Some obvious ones might be Goodbye Kiss or bow. Maybe even Wasted.
I'm trying to find the top listener of kasabian on this years Spotify wrapped. So far the highest I've seen is my own.
What a tune.
Love it when they've occasionally gone all out on the dance/disco/trippy vibes. They do it so well on record and also live.
Would be great to hear them to explore that sort of sound more in the future. Something from their wide range of styles that they don't utilise enough imo.
175 times listened to vlad the impaler. Anyone get higher minutes ?
Anybody know why they hardly play any of Velociraptor! live anymore? I saw them at the O2 a few weeks ago and the show was absolutely wicked but Re-Wired was the only track they played from an album with multiple massive tunes.
Particularly Days Are Forgotten, Velociraptor! and Switchblade Smiles are all absolutely perfect for live shows.
Not to mention the other masterpieces on that album like La Fee Verte, Acid Turkish Bath and Man of Simple Pleasures
