New Home Builder Experiences

Hey all,

We're looking at moving up that way from Anne Arundel County, MD (south of Baltimore). Looking on both sides of the line, particularly around Hanover area or Manchester, MD.

We've looked at both existing and new properties and we got to wondering who the reputable builders in the area are. We ended up looking at a JA Myers development.

We liked that they seemed to be a smaller local builder and did things differently that most other developments we've experienced in the past.

We also have watched a lot of home inspection videos and seen the horrendous work of a lot of big nationals across the country. If we go the new route, we obviously want the best quality can get for our money - looking in the 500-650k range.

We would definitely have multiple home inspections - at least 2 with the pre-drywall and final walkthru.

What has your experience been with Logan builders? Who does a good job and who would you suggest avoiding?

Thanks!

Good Deadstock Stores?

As the title says, I’m looking for deadstock stores in the York County Area. Just looking for a little nostalgia trip and the only place I can think of slightly close to a deadstock store is Ollie’s lmao

York, PA Death/Thrash Metal band is in need of a drummer & a bassist

I'm the guitarist for a death/thrash metal band located in York called Influenza. Since circa February 2020, the band has just consisted of a vocalist and I. We've been having a difficult time finding an adequate drummer and bassist for the band. Despite this, we did manage to release a 3-song rehearsal demo back in 2021 titled "Dangerous & Contagious". More songs have been written since. After a period of inactivity, I want to get this band rolling again, and I need more musicians for that to happen.

General requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old to join (the vocalist and I are both college age/young adults if that's helpful info.)
  • Must be committed/dedicated to the band
  • Must have your own method of transportation

Drummers

  • Must be able to play at a variety of tempos & time signatures
  • Expect to utilize blast beats, skank beats, double bass drumming, etc.

Bassists

  • Must be willing to learn already-written songs
  • The majority of Influenza songs are in D standard tuning, but there are a few in C standard and at least 1 song to utilize Drop C

Influences include

If you or someone you know is interested in joining, send me a message.
