They sell them in M&S / Waitrose, but are there any local suppliers? Not looking to spend a bomb either.
Thanks
Just trying to get a rough estimate based on what other people are paying before I ask for a quote (I am in my mid 20s with no pre-existing health conditions).
If you know this man, Darren salituri. And we think anything alike, I recommend my YouTube channel. I make good songs exposing him for what he truly is. The second song is coming out tonight, and more to come. I’ve left the link to the channel below
Check out this short preview of the song it will be ready and released in the next few hours
Hi! Its my first time to have pork scratchings I love it because it reminds me of the food that I have back home. Where do I get like a kilo or 500 grams of them?
Professional cricketers are known to play for small teams. For example, Sir Viv Richards, knighted for his contributions to cricket, arrived to play at Rishton Cricket Club in a helicopter, Rishton being a town of 7,000, (see the book "Sticky Dogs And Stardust" by Scott Oliver for details).
So I was confused when I saw, as a Guernsey holiday fan and non-resident, that Josh Butler was or is the captain of Guernsey.
I suspect someone reading knows the answer. Is Josh Butler a local, or was it actually the real, very famous player, with a slight change of name?
Thanks!
Where are the go to places in Guernsey? Looking for a good selection and good value for money.
Which is the best poker site. I've tried to use pokerstars but it says it is unavailable in my location. It was never a problem when I first played but now seems to be a problem, would anyone know why?
Do you bother telling the lender if you have a residential mortgage? Is there any real risk to it? We’re looking to buy a property but would like to rent out a room to someone to make the mortgage more manageable in the short term. I know you’re not strictly permitted to under the terms of the mortgage but provided the mortgage is being paid do they really care or have any way of finding out?
Hello from the UK. My wife has been offered a job in either Guernsey or Jersey and I’m curious if it’s possible to commute from the Guernsey to the UK 2-3 times per week? We are leaning towards guernsey more because we prefer it over Jersey. I understand the cost of the flights and the weather are a major factor but the savings from tax make it more affordable to commute. I will sometimes need to use the ferry to drive over to the UK but only on certain occasions. Because of my wife’s job we will be entitled to local market property and I have researched the property we wish to buy.
My other question is that how different is it in Guernsey from living in the UK? I understand that things are more expensive which is understandable and that it’s a lot smaller but other than that, are there any other noticeable differences? I really like the island but I’m curious if my commute to London is doable. I work near Gatwick Airport and it’s essentially a flight and a bus ride every other day and I can always stay in a hotel or travel lodge. I really like the safety in Guernsey and the community which is why we are considering a move. We also plan to eventually start a family which is also a huge reason why we are considering it.
If anyone has any suggestions/advice I would love to hear your thoughts.
I'm doing a study on the same!
Would love any unpretentious cheap non-chain places for dinner please. You know the kind of places that you'll steuggle to find on TripAdvisor/google reviews because they have no marketing dept but just make nice food?
Hi i collect postcards and would like a postcard from guernsey.

Any good spots for picking?
Is there going to be a protest like there was for gst.
Stumbled across 'sunshine caffe' on Jersey the other day - cheap and unpretentious place randomly hidden on a back street that sells home made food and home made cakes. Wondering if anyone knows of a similarly hidden gem on Guernsey?
I’m starving and stoned and I need chips yesterday
Just moved from Ireland. Can anyone suggest a football team to play with? Not really interested in a team that takes it too seriously.
Thanks
If a guernsey resident wants withdraw like 80k-100k £ crypto using revolut do they have to pay taxes or any other fee ?

Hello everyone! Could anyone recommend me a car insurance company in the Island? Thank you
I'm in the process of trying to sell my late mother's house but the banks are making it very difficult. It may all fall through so I'm looking at other options. Have you used a U.K. building firm that you would trust again? If so who? Cheers!
I’m looking to buy my first property in Guernsey but considering the 47% rise in property prices since COVID really puts me off. I know there’s been a slight price correction over the past year but this outrageous rise makes me feel sick. It’s so difficult to consider buying a house for £600k that was sold in 2020 for £400k - it really feels like a massive rip off. Then you consider what £600k might have got you only 4 years ago.
These thoughts are making it hard for me to settle on anything. I’m concerned the housing market has been in a bubble or may continue to drop over the next year depending on interest rates in part. Has anyone else been looking and having these thoughts?
If I bought now I just see no way that property prices could increase any further or significantly over the next 5 or so years. It already seems at the level of being completely unaffordable for the majority of Guernsey.
Just in for a visit till monday and always love me some fresh baked bread, especially sourdough.
