A branch off of /r/gamedev for game developers to post screenshots of work-in-progress, concept art, and more.

Please only post development screenshots or sketches of your own game. It doesn't have to be pretty, but the idea is to show the world what you've been making.

Examples of type of content:

  • Debug views (such as: http://debugviewart.tumblr.com/)
  • Unfinished models, renders, animations
  • What your multi-monitor screen looks during development
  • Sketches that then lead to implementation
  • Actual in-game screens of your game

Feel free to include the title of your game (if it has one) and a link in the comments for people to find it (if available).

Added parallax scrolling to the background layers. What do you think? We are in very early development phase so your feedback can make a big difference.

Citizen Pain | Devlog 05/05/2024 | Fight against Skeleton enemy. Often the best strategy is to block the enemy’s attack and take advantage of its knockback recovery to do a back stab. I still need to finish adding and polishing the animations (so some enemy recovery animations are incomplete).

I created a "wall walking" mechanic, inspired by Legend Of Zelda game! Go check it out!

I'm far from experienced Unity dev but i finally managed to recreate one of the most unique games mechanics I've seen. My inspiration comes from a game Legend Of Zelda: Link Between Worlds, where Link could become a "painting" and walk right on wall to avoid obsticles. I've never seen anything like that before and always thought about implementing it.

If you wanna support it, please play a short demo I've created and if you can, leave a comment there!

Citizen Pain | Devlog 04/05/2024 | The heavy attack does a lot of damage but the startup is slower than a light attack. There is a small chance that the enemy get staggered, it is an opportunity to be able to make a front stab.

What do I have to do to be ready to approach a publisher?

I'm making a 2d shooter-platformer game, finished my prototype, now making art, levels and other game content type stuff. To make this game as good and successful as I want it to be I will need support from publisher. If any of you have experience working with a publisher, please share some advice on how, when and with what do I approach one. Thanks in advance
