Am currently playing a multiplayer campaign with my brother, and it seems that whoever isn't the host, once they connect to the game, drops down to ~24-27 FPS.
I haven't been able to find any previous documentation on this, so I'm wondering if this is just a fact of life for EU3 multiplayer of if there's some sort of problem on our end.
Hi everyone, i startet a run with castille and it went pretty well, conquered most of aragorn. Then france declared war. I managed to conquer it and then negotiated for several provinces.
Then i wanted to focus on settling.
But after the peace period i was attacked again. So i did the same thing, conquering france and then negotiation for some of their provinces to gain peace again.
I also conquered some of their allys and got provinces some small ones where completely absorbed.
After the peace period i was attacked again and started defending and conquering.
While doing that more and more countrys declared war on me. I also defeated them and forced them into peace for more terrain.
But everytime i get a new peace another group of countrys starts declaringwar on me.
Now im in 1470 and have still capacitys to deal with attackers. But my people want peace and the uprisings are getting annoyed. i also want peace to consolidate and get settlings running.
Any idead how i can get peace for a period of some years?
New players here. I just had my 1st game as Castile. Things were fine at the beginning. Inherited Portugal and took down Aragon. But things went downhill once I did not honor the Call of Arm from France. Relationship went bad and France became my rival. Once the war broke out, I was just curbstomped by France. Morocco and even Persia declared war on me and I just decided to quit the game.
I'm back to working on MotE EVW and EvWSandbox (after discovering the infantry = current AI hack) and I released a "stable enough" version of Europa Modernis TOTC for all the EU3 players out there to enjoy.
There is a brand new version of ETO (Event Trigger Offloading) that's implemented in this version, and it should be great for dicking around in.
If you want to see a total chaos mode and stress-test the mod, go to common/static_modifiers.txt, look for the "population" entry, and comment out the revolt_risk modifier that's in that entry. The AI will go crazy and the world will devolve into brutal warfare, showcasing the existing AI mechanics.
Enjoy!
I am currently attempting a world conquest as Navarra on very hard (the AAR will be posted soon), so I decided to let you choose the religion of the country. Of course, considering the enormous difficulty of the campaign and a horrible starting position, religion will only be changed (if you choose so) much later in the campaign, when my country is stable enough and bonuses from Catholicism are no longer as important (for example, larger colonist bonus).
Pros:
Catholicism: more colonists, bonuses from cardinals including infamy reduction, most of Europe is Catholic and most of my provinces are Catholic, crusade and Papal controller bonuses, , lower stability cost, but there is a minor risk of excommunication.
Protestantism: Bonus to production efficiency and tax, some of my provinces convert via events for free
Do you have to be England in order to be able to release the 13 colonies / form the US or are there other nations in EU3 able to take this decision? Thx.
I just found out that in Eu3, trade "nodes" are dynamic, why did Eu4 abandon such a great feature?(it seems that the AI will create more trade nodes too, trieste and riga exist currently in 1640 in my austria game, but in the the normal 1399 start date they don't exist)
After playing EU4 for way too many hours since launch and finally getting my first WC and OF, I've decided to give EU III a go. I own the "Complete Edition" but it turns out that version doesn't contain HttT and DW.
Are there any EU3 veterans or enjoyers that can tell me if those two DLC are absolutely necessary? Or is it possible to enjoy EU3 without them and gradually introduce them after a hundred or so hours?
Is the mod as bad as it is said to be?
