wondering if we’ll get another one before holiday season
Before I go in today, I'm curious. Has the christmas music started up yet?
I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to track or check how many points you have so far?
I try to keep track myself, but it's difficult remembering where I put that paper with the date of my sick day 8 months ago and if this-or-that point has fallen off yet. When people ask our administrative assistant (who is the one who keeps track of our points) if they can check, they're just told that they're supposed to be doing that themselves unless they're on good terms w the admin and the admin is in a good mood. Only official copy of dates I know how to get otherwise is waiting for a meeting about it, which I'd really rather not do for obvious reasons.
I wish they'd just add a tracker for it in the app or on workday, or at least gave us an update about where we're at every so often or something.
How tf do they expect us to purge when we have a fuck ton of freight on the dock? Right now we have 2 trucks and next week we have 3 trucks, price changes, and ad leak to get out. They also keep saying no backstock but have you seen the amount the fucking quantity of stuff we get sent?
I have only been on stage at sephora for three days and I need advice on how to get people to sign up for beauty insider. I have only gotten one person to sign up :( For reference I say: “Are you apart of our beauty insider program? Would you like to sign up?” I usually get told no or if they put in their email and have to add their name and birthdate they say no :( How do you get people to sign up? Also how do you guys get multi worlds. I know I’m new and that I should not get discouraged easily but I see my other co-workers who have been there for a while get multiple people to sign up.
I am quite frustrated, I started Oct. 8th and wasn’t put out on floor for about a week and a half. I didn’t get trained very well, then one of our leads quit unexpectedly. She was the one I had spent most time with. I have briefly met my other lead, but she has already complained about me twice and it’s really discouraging. First time I was told she was “pissed” because I left lots of products on the backwrap because I had no idea where to put them. Then second time I didn’t complete setting up a new display, which I had thought I did but apparently I was supposed to replace some graphics (I have no idea where those are or how to even do those??) also both times I was closing by myself so I had no one there to guide me or answer questions. Like I said, I am just feeling very discouraged and stressed out because of this. Should I speak to my manager?
Hi everyone so on Monday i am scheduled to work from 5:00-9:30 pm. I am a new hire so i’m just lost 😭 I will be the only employee working at sephora and I just need some tips on closing. I know that at the end of the day we have to throw away the trash, damages, clean up, refill stations, and ask for the percentages of something. I have not been shown on where we throw trash away or how to close. I’m already stressed out just thinking about it. I heard that we have to ask HH ? on for the % of BI and other stuff. I would be so so grateful if anyone can help!!
So i have an interview to be a seasonal beauty advisor at sephora, I honestly wasn't expecting to get one since i was pretty much just applying for every job ad ive seen since I need one asap before college in January, and im wondering if it's even worth going to the interview since from what ive seen under other posts they're looking for someone outgoing and good at customer service and im definitely the opposite of that since I have social anxiety and lack social skills in general 😭
Are we doing this this year? I usually get the raise right around now but haven’t seen anything yet.
so for context, im a 16 yr old still enrolled in hs. i have two events that are required for me during the months of Nov and Dec. so, how should i go about asking for time off? i work closing, and my GM only works 8-5 mon-fri. should i just call the store?
thanks!
I've said before but I'm not a s@k employee I've been working in sephora by myself. Well I have a lot of gift sets that were on the floor that are now missing items in them what is the process for dealing with those things since they are missing items?
I was looking at my pay slip for last week and saw in the earnings tab i had $20 under loss prevention incentive. If im not mistaken is that when u like report suspicious activity? The thing is i never reported anything 🫣.
I'm fairly new working here and notice that next week I have 2 days that I end my shift one hour past closing? It's Friday and Saturday and I don't know if we extended closing hours?
I work in S@K and it's been such a rough past few months with this company. From the lack of recognition to finding out I get paid the least out of all my coworkers I cannot do it anymore, but I also have no other job lined up so I'm kind of forced to stay. I'm mainly using this as a rant + wondering how I should go about my situation.
Little issues like the lack of recognition, I'm not super worried about because that's just retail, but I'm mainly focused on the pay and my hours. For background, I've been with S@K for a little over a year, I'm a licensed esthetician, I have previous experience working at Ulta, and my BI score is a rough 20%. I was having a conversation with my coworker about our experience so far at the job and I told them that I was getting paid a little less than $17 an hour (my state's minimum wage is $16ish) and they looked at me like I grew two heads. I asked the coworker how much they were getting paid they said roughly $18 and hour. When I tell you I felt like my body shut down. I bust my butt when it comes to closings, tending to customers, etc, just to be paid minimum wage while my coworkers are making above $18 an hour. I also work 2-3 days a week for 8 hour shifts when i was averaging 20ish hours. I want to bring this up to my BTL but her demeanor makes it hard to feel comfortable to bring up issues to her. Ever since my BI has been low, I feel like her attitude towards me has been different but it may just be me. Since I don't feel comfortable I want to tell a Kohl's lead but I don't know how to word it w/o bringing my coworkers into it. Please help lol
Why is the music they play in the store so horrible. They need to play a mixture of music like Target. Kohls has been playing the same songs forever and rarely throw in a new song here and there.
I am a new hire today was my orientation. I got scheduled for the next 3 days and the description for tomorrow says "Zone/Training/Training. What does zone mean?
Will I be limited on hours because I’m technically a part time position? They wouldn’t give me a very straight answer. I have full availability and I’m honestly hoping they overwork me because I love long work days (weird ik). I was told I’d be cross trained on the floor and registers to maximize “possible” hours.
As long as things go well, if I’m enjoying the job well enough, is it worth asking about a permanent position or is there usually no chance in becoming permanent as a seasonal hire?
My orientation time slot is 5-9. Will it take the whole 4 hours, longer, shorter? Just trying to plan!
I had an interview today for the seasonal operations associate position and I was pleasantly surprised that the manager said "I don't usually make decisions this quick especially when I still have interviews scheduled but I'd like to hire you".
I've worked retail for 2 years now, and I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say the company so I won't, so I'm feeling a bit confident. The manager mentioned training me on all facets of being an associate, including cashiering and sales floor stuff, which I'm prepared for.
But I also know that management always paints a more glorious picture than what the reality is. I think the biggest thing I'm concerned about is pushing the credit card, because I haven't worked for a "credit card" store yet and I just know it's gonna be tough to push.
I'm glad I got hired because I've been unemployed for almost 6 months now, but I'm just curious in general, what are some helpful things to walk in knowing?
Is it considered bullying if a supervisor is constantly talking shit about associates? There is this one supervisor that is always talking shit about everyone for no reason. They have also made many “jokes” that I think is bullying straight to my face and others. If this person is just talking shit about me and I hear it from other people is it reportable? I’m sick and tired of this person bullying me and others and no one reports or says anything. What are your thoughts on this?
WHEN do the customers “get used” to consolidated services and waiting in one line? Our customers are livid and we hear about it daily. Tonight a lady CALLED THE STORE from the line to complain about everyone having to wait “in this stupid line”. (The irony of her slowing us down even more by calling the store is not lost on me). With the holidays coming up, it’s only going to get more busy which translates to longer lines which translates to more angry customers. So……..someone who has been shifted for over a year, please advise. (We’ve only been consolidated since April).
I’ve officially decided I’m resigning, I’m 19 and this was my first job, but it just wasn’t what I expected and it’s just not for me. I definitely feel like a failure, and honestly if I could I never would’ve taken this job, but I just want a restart. I want to just have a fresh start at a fresh little job that I can have on the side while I’m at school. I’m writing this just because I guess I just needed to share my feelings, I know this probably isn’t the place.
Question: Can I ask my manager to schedule me for evening shifts since I’m starting classes next week? I’m a seasonal stockroom associate.
my location pays $14 an hour & I'm thinking about continuing my small business because I just started working part time & the hours are ass.. what's yalls hourly pay/weekly pay?
How does kohls make any money, when all they do is yes we can every customer???
Don't know if I used the right flair but I have a virtual interview in a few hours for a seasonal position and I was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice to give me, since this is my first virtual interview and im a tad nervous :) thank you for reading this.
Also the position is listed as a part time seasonal reatail sales associate.
Edit: just had the interview, it went really well and he said he would reccomend me for the job!! 😊 😃
Please tell me that we are not the only one in dress hell. The damn things don't sell, even at 50 off clearance and we are sitting on 7 STUFFED 6 ways never mind all the stupid pinwheels are bursting at the seams with them continuing to send 2-3 rails each truck. The fancy party dresses kind of make sense, but they all are going to get returned after the season. However, the amount of ugly, thick polyester "work" dresses and "church" dresses is beyond out of control. Who ever the buyer is for this category needs to wake up, no one wants your ugly, overpriced, excluded from coupons, random brand dresses!!!
Don't people keep any of the items they buy helped in customer service Amazon and our returns was crazy
