Is there anything I should know about the game that might help? I'm playing as corvo.
i'm comparatively new to this series in some terms even tho I finished it for the few times already, but I still can't understand one thing: is there actually any way of passing in this game that would give a passage darker than the usual "high chaos"??? I'm so confused, sweet stars. I've heard abt it this and there but i just can't understand if it's true or not.
if it's an actual thing than what's the difference between the "super high" chaos and "usual" high chaos? and what are the requirements for that. if there's not, then why ppl say that there's 3 possible routes?? (and I've ever heard it only abt first game, so it makes me wonder even more)
Every time bro opens his mouth he spits some fucking gold lines, check those out:
"You could float a whaling ship on the noble blood I have spilt"
"Another noble steps in to replace the last one, all equally corrupt. Why should an Empress be different? But she was."
"The world doesn't punish wicked people."
"And now we fight the duel, that no two others could fight... against the ticking of the clock."
"My body is getting weak" says that after killing a whole gang in a split second
Well, new for me at least. In the Dust District, after you kill Vice Overseer Byrne, you can sign his name in the Book of the Fallen located in the same room where an Overseer put his sick friend out of his misery. Haven’t tried it with Corvo but Emily drops a fire line after doing it.
Same vibe as Corvo being able to sign his name at the Boyle party.
I just wanna point out that the recently popular Netflix series, Arcane from Riot Games is probably the closest film medium that resembles Dishonored franchise.
I mean just look at the overall design of the show
Some screenshots:
For someone who has watched the show: >!The whole Arcane magic thingy is giving me a very strong Void vibe. Like it is was some kind of magic sure, but it source is still a mystery and uncontrollable just like Void except there is no Outsider in Arcane's world.!<
Anyway, a highly recommended show for me, who barely know League of Legends but sitll enjoy the cinematics.
Technically the league of legends world but lets ignore that. This is basing off the TV show and alike. Im gonna be honest I havent watched Arcane I dont understand much, but theur styles and kind of the world seemed similair to that of dishonored so if Corvo and Daud were somehow put into their universe would they adapt and survive? Or would they be crushed?
Power wise, which one would you use? Unlock all of theur powers, blink, time stop, Dark vision, etc. Which kit would you prefer.
I finally said "I've waited long enough " and got it
It's been a while since i finished both dishonored 1 and 2. And for Both of my playthroughs i got High chaos because for me i find it so boring the Low chaos endings. In dishonored 1 for example, it's way cooler seeing everyone talking about how afraid they are that corvo is hunting and killing everyone, the last mission portrays this feeling really well.
For the ones that prefer to do Low chaos. May i ask you why?
Yeah, yeah, I know, it's a 2012 game, yadda, yadda. So it happened. Who cares.
Anyway, let's get the things I didn't like out of the way:
Does this mean I didn't like the game?
Yes.
Because
I FREAKING LOVED THE GAME!
The aesthetics are spot-on, the interactivity in things like "contaminate the already watered-down vaccine the thugs are selling to the poor for this nice old lady who's heavily implied to make human sacrifices and guess what, MORE PEOPLE GET SICK" is exactly what I'd expect from an immersive game, Emily is cute, all the little detail needed to make the world believable are there (I especially liked the random bits of dialogue you can hear from the guards) and all this is composed into a comprehensive, integral and very satisfying picture (yeah, I get satisfaction from fictional worlds made of plague, human filth and unspeakable suffering, and no, I'm not exactly a Warhammer 40k fan >!btw MAGNUS DID NOT BETRAY!<), and the tiny bits of exposition make everything even more colorful (I mean, I knew the Loyalists were too good to be true, this was obvious, but it was nice to have things like their voice recordings and Heart scans to imagine I'm playing this at age 12 and be like whaaaaa, but they're so nice and heroic, they wanna save Emily and depose the bad guys!) Even the fact that the game actually acknowledges whether you spare your enemies anywhere else rather than the ending cards is refreshing since normally it's the other way around (and my favorite Deus Ex series ignores this altogether, all you get for your mercy is XP points in HR and MD).
Now I'm thinking whether I should do another run, Extreme Ghost No Kills No Powers No Bone Charms this time, or go straight to DLCs and then Dishonored 2.
(Kindly don't spoil DLCs and Dishonored 2 for me, guys. XD )
Just completed the no powers/ghost/low chaos run of dishonored 2 and honestly I felt like it was easier than the high chaos all powers killing run.
[Solved] At the end of the post I explain how.
This is what I know:
-It's not due to lack of memory. The game needs 8GB of memory to play as recommended, and I have 16GB.
-It has nothing to do with system requirements: I run the game smoothly using "ultra" settings on everything. It's only after around 20 minutes that the game begins to lag and becomes unplayable. Using the "lowest" settings is exactly the same: smooth, but after 20 minutes it becomes laggish.
-It's not the 'overheating'. The game doesn't even elevate temperature. And I have played it with the fans/coolers on just to confirm it. The game still begins to lag after 20 minutes.
-I've tried softwares called 'game boosters'. They don't work. The game begins to lag after 20 minutes.
So, the problem clearly has something to do with the game itself.
Any solutions? Has somebody experienced this?
[Edit] The problem is SOLVED!!
'Fraps' is a recorder program that I was using to take screenshots in-game, so it was running along with the game obviously. I closed it, and now more than 2 hours of gameplay later, the lag never returned!!
Thank you all for answering and giving suggestions and possible solutions!!
was wondering if there was any chance of a new game being created what would y’all think it would be about? curious to see how creative the community can get
Hey guys, I recently played Dishonored 2 again after a few years because randomly I decided I missed it. While playing it I came across the legendary Jindosh Riddle, that was so fun to figure out and complete that I wanted to try and make my own variation of that puzzle inspired by it and the same Dishonored Themes.
Feel free to give it a go and maybe message me your answers incase others want to try it :D I hope it works and people can actually figure it out lol
.
A night at the Masquerade Ball, invitations sent to all each with their own mask in the upper society of Tyvia. While at the ball the heads gathered around to socialise. Madame Duval, Lady Moreau, Sir Blackwood, Count Bellamy, Baroness Ashcroft and Doctor Thorne.
One by one they entered the balcony with six seats to share, two waddled behind while one said to the Cat, "pass me that Brandy please." And so she did, eventually both making their way in the room with the rest. When one in the room sparkling in gold jumped from their seat and turned around, looked at the Owl and spoke "you could have brought my friend here her Wine, I saw you by the drink table" as her Pearl Necklace shimmered. On the far end sat White cloaked Doctor Thorne staring at the two squabbling, "sit down will you two, we are here to enjoy ourselves" as she sat back next to her long faced neighbour in Blue.
Showing off her Encased coin the woman from Redmoor tried to flaunt her wealth when the woman on her right noticed she said "this is my city dear, we are all wealthy here" as she inched up her Rosy Red Spectacles. A funny coincidence from the woman with the Blue Rose Pendant. Sitting in front Count Bellamy twirled his Gin listening to the sweet sounds coming from his Rum drinking neighbour, while the man from behind seemed quite unhappy as he held a grudge thinking Cullero birthed a Demon. The woman now quiet behind, noticed directly on her side the neighbour's Pocketwatch indicate how late it is getting, and as like the man from White Cliff in front of her would based on stereotypes, with wide shaped eyes she leaped into action raising her beer.
The woman from Dristoll with a well off friend, as if sharp as a Fox met her drink with a clash of their glasses. "I should have asked for your Firey drink instead of my Stout, they make them better in Tyvia". While the Grey man from Morely kept his sour mood, "this party if nothing like the Blackwoods" he thought to himself. At least Mrs Ashcroft was keeping him company vibrant and Green.
After they all left the cleaners would find, A Music Box, A Rose Pendant, An Encased Coin and some Spectacles left behind.
Who owned each and sat where, The Fox, The Owl, The Dragon, The Wolf, the Cat and the Demon?
Didn't play Dishonored 2.
In Both Dishonored 1 And The Walking Dead you have a Fatherly Figure trying to build a future for his Daughter / Son, in the end (at least the low chaos end) Corvo is still the Royal Protector, if he want he could become the Lord Regent until she is old enough, and probably no one will complain, but in the end is Child Emily who is sitting in the throne and he dies as the Royal Protector.
In The Show, Carl have a story Arc where he is learning from his Father actions, when his father put himself in Danger to help others, Carl put himself in danger to help others, when his father kill people in cold blood, Carl then kill people in cold blood. Is Hinted that Emily could learn from Corvo actions, he is her Greatest Hero, and in the last mission Havelock say something like "Are you gonna kill me or spare me Corvo? Either way Emily will watch".
