“A copy of the plan, on top of the Data Tower by the Scary Chair.”
What Tower?
Is Morgan talking about the drive we retrieved in Deep Storage?
What do you think?
This is probably well known here but I got excited when I saw this name plaque on a safe in Dishonoured - Death of the Outsider!
First off, I don't think we've got any spoilers here, so we're good.
As I was progressing through my No Needles playthrough, I thought it would be fun to compile a list of objects you cannot interact with without ever getting any powers. To objective was to assess how much you really miss in a No Needles playthrough. Turns out you do not miss that much!
Obviously this does not have to be 100% accurate; I'm actually looking forward to be shown a way to interact with something that I originally missed.
These are my findings:
- Neuromod Division:
- Talos 1 Lobby
- Harware Labs
- Psychotronics
- G. U. T. S.
- Shuttle Bay
- Talos 1 Exterior
- Cargo Bay
- Arboretum
- Crew Quarters
- Deep Storage
- Life Support
- Power Plant
I hope you enjoyed the read.
What happens to the story/missions if she is dead?
So, unless I'm looking in the wrong places, it seems this demo hasn't been backed up or saved anywhere - which is concerning from a preservation standpoint, as I've discovered it contains a slightly earlier than final (partial) build of the game.
My friend who definitely had it on his PS4 account when it was available can no longer see it, so the question I have is: Has this happened to anyone else? Have Bethesda pulled the app for download from everyone's library?
It's actually still downloadable for people who owned it on Xbox, and even seems to work on the series X/S with next gen upgrades, but. As far as I know, we can't do anything with it as modern Xbox homebrew hasn't been cracked yet (tho...I'm uneducated on the topic, so if anyone knows anything different, please let me know!).
Note: I am NOT talking about the "Prey Trial" that's still available today and compatible with the full game. The opening hour demo was released in late April, just a week or so before the launch of Prey. You can tell it's the right one by the distinct, unfinished sound effect that plays when typing passwords into workstations.
EDIT: Two people in this thread have said it's still in their PS library, so not all hope is lost. Just need confirmation that it can still be downloaded and played.
Will the story continue with replacements? As if I didn’t melee the prior one?
Can the nightmare still spawn once the Apex has shown up? I tried to lure it and it didn't seem to have worked.
I was replaying KOTOR 1&2 prior to my first time with PREY. I chose to kill the child molester, tell the Mikhailah I experimented/killed her father, killed January and I killed the Typhons with the Nullwave Device. I guess I’ll go Dark Side on my game+ play through.
Any recommendations or Easter Eggs I should look for?
Under what circumstances, Kevin Hogue, one of those who helps you kill the typhoons with Sarah Eleazar, asks you to go get Nicole's ring, the unfaithful one who is sleeping with Argentino But lmao, It only happened once in 7 games I've played, and it was the first time.
I never played the remake but I remember being hyped for prey 2 the gameplay trailers are on YouTube and I was so hyped looked amazing playing a bounty hunter hunting aliens. When I saw the remake I was so disappointed I never played it just because I was so sold on prey 2 check it out if you’ve never seen it
Back then I was really invested in Prey, having it completed several times, I was just waiting for a DLC or expansion. Then the announcement of Mooncrash, I felt happy and excited, only to find out it will be a rogue-like expansion instead of a story-heavy expansion of the wonderful world (although I have no idea on how to follow up on such a gem — and the twist at the end)...
Only recently I have bought the expansion, and I’m still not sure if I should take a shot at it. I’ve read many different opinions on it, some people who like rogue-likes seem to dislike it, while others more critical of rogue-likes were positively surprised. I just don’t want to taint the great memories I have of this game with something I utterly distaste.
Does anybody else feel the same way? Keep in mind that in no way I expect this to be bad, it’s just not my kind of game mechanics.
The bit where mega strong aliens are overflooding the ship and fighting them is basically a lost battle is just too intense for me. Every time I get there leads to me quitting due to feeling overwhelmed, powerless and just stressed in general. On the other hand I would really like to finish this game at least once as it's one of my favourite games of all time.
How do I get through the ending?
Okay, so on the heels of my "Maximum Number of Survivors Possible" post I made last month, now I've encountered a different oddity on my most recent playthough...exactly how does the game determine who is "found" on the Crew & Visitors tracker?
According to the attached screenshot (apologies for the potato quality I play on XBox) I've found 280 TranStar Crew & Visitors.
Which is 8 *more* human beings than are present in the ENTIRE game.
The Security Station rosters show 251 crew members stationed aboard Talos I, counting Morgan him (or her)self.
Of those 251, you can physically locate 250 since Carolyn Wheeler (Public Relations, Talos I Lobby) is "Off Station" and we never encounter her directly. We *can* technically kill her during an optional objective (Shuttle "Advent") but there 's no way in-game to ever mark her off as "located" and your Crew & Visitors count stays the same before the objective is started and after it completed, so she doesn't count. Morgan always has a check mark next to his name since he's the playable character and we can assume he knows where he is at least MOST of the time so he counts towards the 250.
The Security Station in the Volunteer Quarters of the Neuromod Division has an additional roster of 18 volunteers (nearly half of which are corpses in the Psychotronics Morgue, but they still count). That brings our number of human beings we can encounter in-game up to 268.
There are actually three more Crew corpses you can stumble across in the game that, presumably due to either developer error or oversight, do NOT appear on any of the Crew Rosters you can view on the Security Stations: Brett Seydel in Crew Quarters on the balcony outside of the Rec Center, Jenni Garbentzoff locked in the storage closet of the Yellow Tulip lounge with an equally dead Brandi Pester, and Anthony Aquilante who falls out of the door (as a cheap jump scare) of the Power Plant Med Bay next to the office you first encounter Mikhaila in. With these three our count increases to 271.
Finally, Walther Dahl arrives during the "The Repo Man" objective late in the game and brings our final tally of possible human beings encountered (either alive or dead) to 272.
So why does the game say I located 280? Who are the mysterious other 8 people it thinks I've found?
Even taking the accidentally disappeared Marco Simmons into account, that's still seven people the game says I've located but haven't.
(Simmons is the bald member of the trio of scientists that are testing you at the beginning of the game, last seen departing to get Dr. Bellamy a cup of mimic-free coffee. His TranScribe is on the table outside of Test Room 4 and his workstation is present and active in the Neuromod Debriefing room, but due to another developer error/oversight he's completely absent from both the entire rest of the game AND all Security Station rosters.)
Hey y'all turns out coming up with these ideas are tougher than I thought. As some of these people have limited or almost too much information about them, I strive to stay on the edge of cannon and new fictions, so give me all the suggestions you'd love to read about, give me ideas for my new stories, you may be credited if you want (if i remember muhahaha!
Mine was technically an escape, but it was very embarrassing. I needed to complete Claire Whitten's objective by escaping the base from Pytheas Labs. Unfortunately, I didn't have the escape pod nav chip, and the only fabricator was locked behind a door. So, I decided to get the piloting ability and escape via shuttle. On my way out, I realized I could get hacking 3 to open the door to the fabricator...if I hadn't spend one neuromod on piloting. So, I scrambled to look for one neuromod, almost dying in the process, but eventually I found three. I went back down to the locked door, and then I saw that since my corruption level had gone up, so had the hacking level required. I didn't have nearly enough. As I was leaving the labs once again, I opened up my Mule Operator, only to find that the escape pod nav chip was there the whole time. Finally, I got in the escape pod and left the base, completely forgetting to install the 7 neuromods in my inventory. Can't figure out if it was a success or a failure.

I first played the game around 1/3 way thru and was actually a bit disappointed. It was ok, but where I thought would be complex systems were kind of dumbed down for example the extremely abusable crafting system and OP abilities. The game was fun, but if on first playthrough I can get pretty much invincible after around 10 hours... well, it wasn't well balanced and got a bit boring.
So I looked at what mods were available and found this one, SHOCK or Neuroshock. I don't know how much of it was originally intended to be in the game by the devs, but it turns the game into a much more intense, much more holistic experience. You actually have to scan stuff now! You actually have to think about your build! You actually have to conserve resources and use the enviroment! These were all in the vanilla game, but dumbed down so much that they were more curiosities than part of the core gameplay loop. With this mod, this is the game I was expecting and the game I think the vanilla deserved to be. The game systems are so elaborate that it's a crying shame most players never get to really experience their full depth.
I'm at the point of opening the door after deploying 3 turrets. After the fight broke out almost every npc including Sarah Elazar died. I felt kinda bad so I saved and redid the fight and managed not to lose anyone with the use of grenade. The problem is that those npc's drop a lot of ammo and weapons so It's more profitable to let them die. So does it have any consequences if I decide to do that?
So I made it to the Dinner area where a Psychothing and a few mad people are, and some voice says I should clear the area.
So yeah, I'm stuck in the crew area without the possibility of sneakysneak or shootyshoot.
What now?
I used most of my resource to kill the thing in front the elevator from the arboretum to the lobby. But that was useless since the lobby is completely infested.
It's time for the long delayed awaited new version of Chairloader! So much has changed internally and for making the framework better and I want to give a huge shoutout to u/tmp64 for doing the brunt of the work on this one! Seriously, none of this could have happened without him.
Here's a brief rundown of the changelog, but you can find the full patch notes and release files here:
