We support any protests against Reddit being an ass about API pricing. While we're thinking what to do, consider heading over to lemmy.ml to create new communities not limited by corporate greed.
Dancing is an essential part of human culture, regardless of where you're from.
We wish to promote this art form and to allow people from all around the world to share their experiences on the subject of dancing!
In addition to being art, dancing can be a hobby, a sport, a profession, a way to represent your own feelings and thoughts or a form of nonverbal communication.
There is no single purpose or goal to dancing, except enjoyment!

I am doing a project on body image in the industry and need to present a survey for college
I’m fairly new to dance. Have done a few open level performances and have been going to casual classes fortnightly for about a year now.
I’m in my early twenties and am currently in a position where I have the means and time to commit to something more intensive.
Problem is I am still a beginner and most courses I can find are like for professionals, people who have been dancing their whole lives or something that requires an audition.
I‘ve mostly been doing hip-hop and contemporary.
I’m wondering if anyone knows of any programs, camps, intensive dance courses of this nature for beginners? I’m in Australia but am open to travelling for something like this!
If this kind of thing exists I’d be so keen to check out some links! Bonus points if it’s LGBTQIA+ run
i'm usually a contemporary, jazz, heels dancer but I couldn't miss the choreo to squabble up just days after GNX dropped!
I reply then snap them in my videos and then taunt them by tagging them. I treat them like cranky siblings that haven’t had their snickers.(btw don’t have too much sugar) truth is they don’t hold much weight when you’re shining.
My 1st passion, was always dance💯🖤
Please link footage.

I'm a trained dancer, who danced professionally for a bit and am now a dance photographer working with many genres and levels. I'd love to answer any questions y'all have for me!
Any recommendations? I’m looking for something I can wear under my sweatpants for a little more modesty.
Honestly felt better here than before I took a break. But I’m just not as motivated to join events like before (like burn out with the tiredness [?]). No drive to even lab by myself, any tips?
Embarrasing af, but I'm having fun, so I'll spread the fun. Also, so others won't be nervous to post. Ha gayyyyyyyyyy ☝️
hiii, i’ve been finding myself super busy lately with both school and work that i haven’t really been able to squeeze in anytime to attend dance classes in person which sucks. i’ve been thinking about subscribing to an online dance class platform like TMilly TV but was wondering which one is better? TMilly TV or Steezy studio? any recs open and appreciated.
Opinions? Im new around
Hi r/Dance!
Dark Arts Software is developing TRIP THE LIGHT, a fully immersive partner dance app for VR and AR headsets. It's both a game and a learning tool. We've been working on it for a while, and are partnering with professional dancers and choreographers to ensure we do this right, so we can properly teach the basics of salsa, swing and other dances at home in a way that's never been possible before!
We just debuted it on Kickstarter and would love any feedback and support from members of this group!

Great event :) glad we could train and make a name for ourselves :)
Hey everyone, I’m reaching out because I’ve hit a rough patch financially and am struggling to afford my dance classes. Dance is such an important part of my life, and I don’t want to give up on it. If you can, I’d be incredibly grateful for any support to help me continue my lessons. Every little bit counts, and your generosity would mean the world to me.
I was told that I would be so much better in my style if I learn to transfer my weight, any tips / ideas??
