A weird topic but yeah Anyone know where to recycle it? I cannot find any information on Courtenay waste wizard. Thanks.
Hey,
I'm looking to get adult braces or invisalign and wondering if you can share your experiences with ortho in the Valley, Campbell River or should I travel to the main land?
Let me know your experiences, cost, recommendations or anything else!
Thanks!
I watched a person in Costco dressed as a plague doctor in an elaborate costume. They were shopping ! Have anyone else seen this person around ?
Crazy line but ridiculous prices on bike stuff.
Hi all - are there any flea markets in the valley? what is the best way to search for estate sales? looking to purchase good second hand stuff. any leads in the valley would be appreciated. thanks
Tell me your experiences, what do you think?
We went last week and it was interesting/good. I am a gf person and the gf bun was so good, that I think they gave me a regular bun. (I just have an allergy and eating wheat once won't kill me) The teens working in the kitchen burnt the living daylights out of my bacon. The manager working took care of it right away and have me a gift card and tote bag. They do have a dedicated fryer for gf. I did enjoy my burger otherwise, like I said the gf bun was incredible. The burger itself was a smash burger type and pretty lean. My partner preferred the patty at Fat Burger, but their GF buns are terrible.
One thing I absolutely love about it is that everything is compostable. The straws, cups, paper... Everything is compostable. I love it!
I'll be back to try it again, those young ones are just learning in the kitchen, so I won't hold a bit of burnt bacon against them.
As the title says. Please and thank you. Go!
I frequent the downtown cafe scene and used to go to Shone's cafe quite a bit. There was an ownership change I think back in late Sept or early Oct but they still aren't open. Anybody have the inside scoop on why it's taking so long to open?
I’m looking for local lip balm, lotions, etc. Can anyone recommend a spot in the valley to shop for that type of product?

BC Hydro deployed these sirens on 2017, there are about 10 of them. They are not too loud, but pretty noisy.
hello lovely people of the valley I'm pretty new to the area (from Ontario)
moved to BC and spent 5 months working in Powell River and being with family and now I work and live in Comox Valley
just picked up a PS4 off Marketplace, but the controller’s D-pad is busted. I’ve already taken it apart, cleaned it, and tried fixing it—no luck. I'm a decent tinkerer too so not sure what might be wrong
If anyone has a spare PS4 controller kicking around that they don’t need, I’d be happy to take it off your hands if you literally just don't use it but I'll pay a reasonable price too, just still in the process of trying not to spend much money
Just need something that works so I can actually use the thing.
Shoot me a message if anyone can help, thanks everybody 😁
Saw this on my walk today - so much rotten news in the world today.
Figured we could use some love. Good reminder to show kindness to people and look for the good because you’ll find it.
Rates for live in and live out pet sitters in the CV pls
Getting my butt into gear and want to start some strength training after a few years of nothing. Any recommendations?
Today marks the second time that my dog has been attacked by a strangers dog since living in the valley.
The first time being at the Cumberland dog park, when a French Bulldog was relentlessly barking at her and following her around the dog park, it tried to bite her, but I was able to get in between and pull the Frenchie away from my dog, getting MYSELF bit in the hand in the process.
I was unable to get this women’s information as I was already losing it yelling/swearing,and bleeding from my hand so I had to remove myself from the situation.
Today I was trying to enjoy a walk with my dog at the air park. My dog wears a gentle leader, which is essentially a leash around her nose and helps to prevent her from pulling. Her mouth is barely able to open while wearing it, so obviously she’s unable to defend herself. A man walked past letting his dog approach mine, and as i was trying to continue on with our walk his dog starts to attack mine, biting her hard enough on the ear to draw blood. He wasn’t doing anything to stop his dog from attacking so AGAIN I had to put myself in between my dog being hurt against a LARGE dog this time. I was able to grab him where his leash connected to his collar and yank him off of mine stopping the attack.
Again I was unable to get info from the owner as I was much more concerned with getting the hell away from that dog and getting mine back to the car so i could get the first aid kit out and clean her ear/check the severity of the bite.
I’m at a loss here and don’t feel safe bringing my FRIENDLY dog out in public spaces anymore because i’m paranoid of another attack. What the hell is going on, and why am I running into people with no control over their dogs!?! 😭😭😭
Hi all, I love getting Chinese take-out on Christmas day. Anywhere in the valley that you would recommend?
I know there are places like bodynetix, but looking for something more personal.
Hi I am wondering if there are any solid community groups that meet up for snowboarding, showshoeing or cross country skiing, etc? Looking to meet people and play outside!
Just saw two flying into town yayyy
My cousin and his wife live in Courtenay/Comox and I want to gift them a romantic date night for Christmas (likely in the form of gift cards, I’m imagining). I am not from there and am looking for advice on fancy restaurants and things to do that would feel like a real treat. Thanks for any ideas!
Driving (sober) south down the inland, pouring rain. As I was approaching Cumberland I saw a massive meteor burn out in the sky.
Anyone know where I can buy beef tallow face balm? Thanks!
Looking for a pair of waterproof shoes to get through road running for the next couple months. Recommendations? For shoes and where to buy.
EDIT: or maybe what shoes are you running in for wet winter weather?
What are the pickup spots if I wanted to take the shuttle from the base of the mountain? Or does it change every year. Planning a trip right now and planning accomadation and rides would be easier if I had an idea of where these shuttls pickup spots are
According to my phone it was Nov 21, 2019x which feels like a lot longer ago than just five years, woof.
I might be moving to the area within the next year from Atlantic Canada. What is the area like: busy? Friendly? Is there many events going on? I’ve never even visited the area so it would be nice to get some insight from anyone on here! Thanks!
Any predictions for spring real estate market? Lots of new houses? Prices going down? Going up?
Sitting on the sidelines waiting for a house that we like enough to purchase. The only ones selling seem to be priced just below or at BC Assessed, yet many sitting still priced quite high.
does anyone have any good personal experience with a will lawyer in the Valley?
