Does anyone else play up until the like 300 turn then reset The only games ive ever actually beten is when i did tournaments in highscool
Idk how I've never seen this threat before, but I love it.
Fellas, i really need some advice here. Trying to play in the higher difficulties and stuck on king. Im playing as byzantine who supposedly has a good conquer/religious build, but i am not seeing the upsides here. By the time i unlock the tagma the other civs already have cavalry and corps or even armies and the tagma is useless, even with the +10 from the crusade. Or it will be super effective for a couple turns but usually the other civs just outclass me in science and culture and im never able to get a good foothold at the start. Any tips or advice on how i can get the tagma when it actually works?

Marathon speed Terra map, industrial era just started, playing Harald Varangian, going for scientific victory but a bit of coulture would be nice since Peter is hoarding great works and could be a nuisance later, anything you would recommend?
One thing that really annoys me about the AI is, my neighbour throws a suprise war on me numerous times throughout the game, despite me having a stronger army and once I start winning they're begging for peace every time, then when I've had enough and start taking their cities and wipe them off the map so I can focus on my science victory, I'M THE BAD GUY and all the AI's start denouncing me. I didn't even start the war, why am I being punished for something the others started. Does the AI just want me to make peace and continue to defend all the time?! Annoys me so much
I was a few turns away from my first emperor win then this dumbass comes in with a science victory no one saw coming I thought we were friends 😡😡😡
Hi, Does anybody know what is happening here? I am not low on amenities or anything. This is the second time now that a huge barbarian army spawns out of nowhere and over several rounds out of nowhere next to my best city and razing everything in the process. I don’t have enough living room because they destroyed the district, that was fine before.
Has anybody an idea what is happening? I am in no wars.
I have seen plenty of people claiming that Joao III is useless if he doesn't have a coastal start. I would agree that his kit is utterly broken on a coastal start and you do lose quite a bit spawning inland, however the trade route capacity is still insane, and I would argue that you can still have a really good game by using loads of internal trade routes.
I think think he'd be S tier in this situation, but he can still be a B tier civ just based on the trade route capacity.
Thoughts?
“Apologies, I didn’t realize your cities were so close.”
This most often comes after an AI Leader has sent his/her scouts all over my territory. Then it happens after I’ve asked them not to place their cities so close to my land. But guess what, that’s a lie! So, they continue to steal your land.
I’m kind of caught on two ideals, both being lies IMO. The second is getting denounced for over a century when you only caused grievances to the one person you went to war with. Many times over, I never create harm or grievances to the other AI Leaders. But they will stay mad for over a century for what I did to someone no longer in the game.
What gives? I hope they work on the grievance system in Civ 7.
So yesterday I finally got my first cultural victory ever playing with Pericles(hella broken). I will maybe attach some pictures later as I'm currently at work, but it wasn't even a competition, by the year 1400 AD I had already completed the civics tree and the game was over in turn 241, year 1650AD. I love playing TSL huge, and reduce the AIs to only 5, still, I managed to be the suzerain of every city-state on the map and had a culture generation of 2000+ per turn by the end of the game. The difficulty was emperor(I don't dare play culture in Deity) but yeah, I'm overjoyed.
I've played a True Start Location Earth map a few times, and I roughly know the natural wonder layout in TSL (Galapagos and Pantanal in South America, Everest in Asia, Great Barrier Reef in Australia, and so on).
I've never played on a TSL Huge map before, though, and I was wondering if there are additional natural wonders compared to TSL? Considering the map is bigger I think it might be natural that there are more wonders, but maybe not since there are the same number of continents (which to my knowledge is the deciding factor of how many natural wonders there are in the game).
...and it was just wow. +15k gold per turn. I know its not THAT much but this was the best yields i've ever done. (Despite having Galapagos in the early game, i've chosen culture victory over science victory)
I have no idea what that symbol on Calcutta means.
We're playing a multiplayer game, mods are disabled, and for some reason when I hit the Manage Citizens button on a town, I don't actually see the citizen bubbles. The camera pans up, just can't actually do anything.
I've noticed this the past few nights we've played. I did try opening a single-player game to confirm my game wasn't broken, and it worked fine there. Anybody know what might be happening?
I'm new to Civ VI. I played a little of Civ IV when I was young but never really understood the mechanics of the game. I watched a couple of videos now, about how to settle, etc. There's a lot of information to grasp.
Is there one particular leader who's really adapted for absolute beginners ? I guess the best leaders for the experienced players aren't necessarily the best for new players.
Thanks
Edit- stop bitching and just answer the question.
Reloading vecause of this garbage loyalty mechanic
Hope Civ 7 has some mechanic where you can somewhat set an example / execute a fcking civilian so the rest will stop revolting every other turn
Would do it now if i could
I just recently switched from vanilla to GS, and from everything I'm reading and seeing so far, the changes just seem designed to make the game less fun, and add random nonsense.
Built your improvements in your city? LOL NOPE HERE COMES A STORM
Got luxuries? LOL NOPE WORLD CONGRESS SAYS NO
Like settling new continents or having a world-spanning empire? LOL NOPE CITY REVOLT
Like circumnavigating the poles of the world? LOL NOPE ICE BLOCKS ALL
Like settling on the coast? LOL NOPE SUBMERGED DISTRICTS
Some parts seem interesting, like the governors. But despite being curious about the new civs and wonders and resources, it mostly seems like a pain in the ass. I'm on PS5 btw, so no mods to get rid of some of these issues for me.
Does it get better? I'm wondering if I should stick with vanilla, or maybe try R&F so I only have to deal with loyalty (which seems annoying but manageable).
Turn thirty and having been spotted by 2 camps might've buggered my chances with this one
