Hey,
has anyone here tried installing the mudguards for the Grizl:ON version on the normal Grizl CF Trail versions of the bike and if yes, has he succeeded? Small adjustments are okay, i just want a good looking solution for my normal grizl
Hey, does anyone know if this bike can lock out in a way that would make it essentially a hardtail? If not, to what degree does it lock out? Ideally I'd be able to take it around town as well as cross country and don't always want full suspension.
For bonus points, what makes this one so spendy? And is it worlds better than the Neuron 5, or just a newer model?

Stock selle saddle was kind of comfortable, but the sticky material was a big red light. Swapped to giant fleet sl, no more sticky but not that comfortable. Looking forward to a third saddle, any recommendation, considering fizik argo r5, specialized power comp.
Keeping up to date with sharing details of the import processes:
Ordered a Grail through Canyon Canadian weblink on Thursday 28th Nov 2024. No additional accessories.
Next morning Fri 29th - Canyon email advising bike has been shipped! UPS Tracking provided. ETA Mon 2nd.
Mon 2nd Dec: UPS email "payment is due" detailing duties, taxes and brokerage fees.
Duties: NONE
GST: 5% PST: 7% and Broker Fees: $30.10.
I then called UPS to dispute the assessment of PST, as bicycles are exempt in BC. Told they couldn't change anything.
Received new ETA Tues. 3rd.
Tue 3rd Dec: Paid all taxes and fees online. 20 minutes later the bike was delivered.
Found CBSA "Informal Adjustment Request" Form online on their website. This form is used to request refunds in disputed assessments. The request requires the original CBSA Import Receipt number and document to be attached. Called UPS to obtain this - they send this by mail.
In summary: Shipping took 5 days (over a weekend too). No 13% Duty. GST 5% applied. In my case, mistakenly applied 7%PST for which I now have to request refund direct with CBSA.
Hope this helps for those ordering to BC, Canada.
I just unpacked and assembled a Neuron 6. I'm hoping to add a bolt-attached bag to the inside of the frame, as shown in their marketing pic of the bike. Canyon points to their Load bag as an option, but A) I don't see that bag listed on their site, and B) I'm hoping to not pay the pretty hefty shipping cost for something as small as a frame bag. I'm wondering if there are any small, budget-friendly bolt-compatible alternatives that you all would suggest. Thanks!
I just got a Exceed CF 5 with a RockShock Recon RL fork on it. Not having had a mountain bike for quite a while, I'm not sure the fork is doing what it's supposed to do. When I use the lock function, the fork gets a bit stiffer, but it still has a good amount of suspension to it. Is that the way the fork is supposed to behave when locked or should it lock completely? Also, the remote and lock nob didn't work at all when it was delivered, because it was installed poorly. That makes me wonder even more so if there is something wrong with the fork...
Considering a Grizl eGravel bike. If I bought an eGravel bike, I'd want to change the drive train to have gearing similar to my acoustic bikes (10x50 and 36T). For those times when I ride with the motor off or the battery dies. Wondering what the minimum chainring is, and min/max cassette
On cassette, I would consider adding a long cage to the derailleur and a garbaruk cassette if needed. My acoustic gravel bike had a 46T max until I put garbaruk on it. Now 50T max :) Have also done a tanpan on my road bike in order to get the 10 speed upto 36T. Just saying anything is possible with enough google searches :)
Pic taken right after first and most likely last ride this season last weekend, as salt is out on roads around me now. Love the colour! Ignore the crappy, single bottle cage, that's what I had sitting around at the moment.
Hard to make good, objective assessments after one cold (windchill of -9°C) ride, with multiple layers, thick shoe covers, big gloves etc. But I definitely noticed how snappy the bike was under hard, standing acceleration efforts - definitely stiffer than my outgoing 2014 Tarmac SL4.
Canyon did mess up the t-bar size - XL is supposed to come with 110 mm stem, but my bike came with a 90 mm. I have notified them and requested a 120 mm one, we'll see what becomes of it and how will they want to proceed with the whole process. It's a good thing it's not the spring or summer, as I'd be ticked about the situation and how long it might take to fix it.
Other than that, I haven't noticed any issues so far - no nicks, no scratches out of the box, everything about the bar tight and holding straight, I haven't played around with removing any spacers yet. No creaks or sounds of any kind during the ride and hard efforts.
I was asking on this forum for advice regarding tire clearance on the Aeroad frame. I want to thank everyone who sent me pictures of their frame clearance, it was very helpful, and I finally decided to order my new Canyon Aeroad.
I am very happy with my new bike. It rides like a dream.
If anyone is interested, the tires I currently have are GP5000s 32mm on the back and 30mm on the front, with measured widths of 34.5mm on the back and 33mm on the front. There is plenty of clearance, I can comfortably slide a 6mm hex key all around. However, in the chainstay area, I can only fit a 4mm hex key, which is still perfectly acceptable in my opinion.
So, I believe there is absolutely no problem fitting 34mm tires on the Aeroad.
I own a Canyon AL 6.0 from 2016. It fits me like a glove. New geometry is very different. Just ordered a new CF SLX 7 Di2 with carbon wheels SIZE L (but I can still cancel if wrong size). I'm getting anxious again about the bike fit. I never saw the bike in person, and the geometry numbers confuse me. Maybe someone with the same bike en height as me (about 186 cm) can measure the actual distance reach (measured from top side of the seat --> from the point above the mid of the seatpost (or the point 12 cm from back of seat which is about the same) to the middle of the stem.
I have long legs, bot shorter core and shorter arms than average. That is my issue.
legs: 90.5 cm
core: 60.3 cm
arms: 69 cm
I chose the large model because the "Reach+" on the canyon site gives me: 472 mm, which is in line with my current bike = 478mm. How they get that low figure of 472mm, I don't get it. Normally I calculate reach + stem length, that should be: 387mm+110 = 498mm which would be too much for me.
If Reach+ is correct and if someone measures the actual distance from seat to stem length for me I could maybe get a good answer if I have those 2 numbers and relax about my order en enjoy looking out my new bike! I compared my actual bike with the Medium and Large CF SLX in the picture below. If I would choose the Medium, then the head tube hight will be lower, so I would have to flex more on a medium bike although the reach would be shorter, I would not fit well on the bike.
Has anyone bought the pro cockpit for the grail? I’m thinking about buying the 110x400 for my Grail. I would love to see a picture if anyone has done the same thing.
Hello,
I recently purchased an Endurace CF7 and I like it a lot, but my PT determined that it would be more beneficial if the handlebars were a little higher due to some back issues I’m having.
I’ve seen a few random posts about people purchasing parts to extend the stem of my bike but nothing concrete. when I spoke to a Canyon rep today to see what parts I’d need they said that what I wanted isn’t possible and said the only thing to do would be to go a size up in the frame.
Has anyone here been able to alter the stem height of an endurace?
I ordered a grizl on august 12th, and on black Friday I happened to check the same model again on canyons site out of curiosity. The bike was now $350 less than I paid. As a shot in the dark, I emailed their customer service and asked if they’d refund the price difference even though i’d bought the bike over 2 months prior. Two days later, they emailed me and refunded it!
Hello everyone. I need some big advice; I'm about to purchase the Canyon Aeroad, but I'm strongly undecided about the color:
Both colors are stunning, and I can't make a decision. The specifications are identical: both have Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupsets and DT Swiss 1400 Dicut DB (50mm) wheels.
In the near future, I’d like to upgrade the wheels to Zipp 404 Firecrest, but that’s for later. I noticed the red frame pairs really well with them.
Aside from this detail, which of these two colors do you think is better?
The white is a classic, timeless choice, but it's very common.
The red is striking and eye-catching, but I’m worried it might feel tiring over time.
Help!

Looking to get a bike trainer for some winter training and cant seem to find a concrete answer on compatibility.
Looking at getting the taxc flux s
Is this compatable with the Sram rival 12 speed AXS?
Want to talk about something but not make a new thread? Ask what colors are coming or when a bike will be back in stock? Do it here! You are allowed to break rules 1, 2, 4, and 6 in this thread within reason.
I'm buying a new bike and have it down to Crux vs Inflite. I had my heart set on an Cervelo Aspero but it unfortunately doesn't check the right boxes. This bike will be used for CX and gravel and maybe road but I hate riding on roads because of pick-ups and rednecks. Would like to do shorter gravels races (under 50 miles). Have no interest in ultra endurance. I already have a touring bike and 2 mtbs.
Aside from the awesomeness of this bike you want to share, what tire sizes are you running?
Why is there a dedicated fair for crack? Should I be concerned?
Thanks!
Hi,
Does anyone have an idea or a link to a store with a spacer to change the angle of aero extension.
I think that it must be something like for speedmax GP0018-01
I need to change this item to 15 degree
Got hospitalized for a week (fever) and the only cure is a brand new wheelset. 🤣😭
Has anyone updated their Spectral:ON (or other EP801 bikes) that are limited to 20 MPH (class 2) to unlock the 28 mph class 3 rating? I know that it's capable, but I'm not sure if it's possible.
Canyon sells other bikes with shimano motors that can do 28 mph. So... If you know how to do it, please let me know! I really just want to make some commutes faster.
Will anyone suggest anything? Had a bad crash the bike seems okay with the exception of a fork. I contacted Canyon, heard about HELIX forks or buy a new/used bike?. The problem is not money, but the bike being expendable to be stolen or crashed. I still have a single-speed and endurance bike, but I am afraid to ride my single-speed due to the rim brakes. I guess I want to fix the existing bike, but how much it will cost? would anyone suggest other forks rather than helix ones?
Just unboxed my Endurace 7 RAW and saw these lines in the paint. Tried to run it off but no luck. Should I send back?
