What do people do with occupied listings?

I like daydreaming at idealista and imagining actually buying a house. Whenever I sort for listings at lowest price, there are always illegaly occupied apartments sold for 40-50k€. Just curious what do people do with that? Like if they buy it, then what can they do with that?

Being treated so well with our 4 month old

We were nervous about our first international trip with our 4 month old. We are from California. I heard families and kids are more respected/ accepted in Europe. Now we are experiencing it. We are considered priority in all queues (got to skip the line at Sagrada Familia!) and in general are treated so much better with our baby in tow. A manager of the restuarant even got the server to walk me to the bathroom when I needed to give my baby a change. In the states I sometimes feel invisible as a mom in public. Here I feel respected. Only on day 3 of 12 and I already don't want to leave! Plus I go back to work a week after :(

Dungeons & dragons: se buscan jugadores. Domingos, cada dos semanas

Hola,

Proposal for solving vandalism?

As we know, the problem with vandalism and pickpockets in Barcelona is huge.

My proposal is that the local police should open a division to solve this issue. They would hire Spanish people who would apply for this position, train them, and send them to the street as undercover tourists.

This person would have a target item to be stolen( wallet/phone) in a relatively visible location. This item would be connected to the person’s pocket by a wire that would trigger an alarm when the thief would try to steal it. The undercover tourist would always have three policemen in his vicinity. When the alarm would go off, the policemen would grab the thief, take him to the police station where the thief would get a fine.

The target item could be sensitive to fingerprints and/or DNA that would help to easily prove the crime.

The fine for the first offence would be small, but would increase fast with repeated offences, and eventually would turn into jail time.

This programme would require cooperation between local police, municipality and law makers. But I think it would be an effective way to lower vandalism.

What are your thoughts on this idea?

No demano tant no?

Deposits, agencies and refunds

Hello everyone!

Some of us became the victims of fraudsters - agencies renting rooms and apartments. One of them is called Viver Community SL (or Viver Homes). These people don't refund deposits without any explanation and just play for time. Also they withhold part of the deposit and say that something in the room was spoiled and they have to fix it, however don't display the evidence of property damage. They do illegal business and it seems don't pay taxes. I connected to INCASOL to check the status of my deposit and lease agreement, and they told me they don't have the information about the deposit and agreement and suggested that I should ask the lawyer for help. I know at least 4 people who have faced this. Now my friend and me are planning to sue them. If anyone would like to join a class action, we'd be happy - the more people the better.

Anyway, I just would like to warn everyone to avoid these people as they are just thieves and fraudsters. Be careful and always ask the certificate number of your deposit in INCASOL.

Guardia Urbana
