Intro

Welcome to /r/AnimationGifs! If you love gifs and cartoons, anime, and/or animated features then you've come to the right place. Put on your PJs, grab a bowl of cereal, and enjoy.

Rules

1. All Gifs must be sourced from animated sources.

2. For the purposes of /r/AnimationGifs an animated source is defined as:

• Any film or television production animated on a frame-by-frame basis. This includes traditional 2D, CG, and stop motion. Interpolated rotoscoping, e.g.: Waking Life, A Scanner Darkly, while technically animation, goes against the spirit of the sub. Definitions to be updated as the need arises.
• Any online video of substantial quality animated in the methods listed above.
• "Substantial quality" is the sole discretion of the mods. Use your best judgement (e.g.: no stick figure animation.)

• While there are no specific standards here, if you post a gif that is only 6 frames and 120x120 pixels, chances are it will get removed. No ban will result from this unless it becomes a spam issue.
