All things related to The Witcher - books, games, TV... You name it.
The Witcher is a critically acclaimed fantasy book series created by Andrzej Sapkowski. The series follows Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter in a universe where people often prove more wicked than beasts. Though originally written in Polish, the franchise gathered a large international following from likewise acclaimed game adaptions by CD Projekt. The books now translated into a dozen languages have also been adapted for TV.

Just bought the trilogy on sale and was wondering if there was any mods that I should add to get the best experience. I'm not looking to change the gameplay or add anything too big to the game. Mods for any of the 3 games would be appreciated:)
Geralts voice is super quiet, while I can hear him, it's almost like he is whispering compared to other characters. Also, the beginning cutscene isn't audible at all, any fixes?
Got it at level 14 Death March. I know I cant use it but still It makes me happy.
It's been years since my last playthrough, and it's Just been one of my biggest gripes with the game, that after leveling a few times, I'm finding gear on random enemies and In shops that outclass my grandmaster crafted Witcher gear in raw damage/defense, and with enemies that scale to your level, that makes it dangerous to keep your hard crafted armor on for the long haul, else you'll end up dying a lot and not dealing significant damage
They ever fix that? I remember there being a mod about it at some point, but since the next gen update, I'm not sure if that has changed.
I’m used to modding other games although mostly Bethesda, but I usually try to follow a guide every guide I use seems to use manual mod installation, which I’m not super confident in, however I’m pretty comfortable using Mod Organizer 2. The only mods I think I want for The Witcher 3 are Gwent Card Dealer and Gwent Deluxe. Will MO2 work for modding TW3?
Talking about yennefer or triss. This is my first playthrough. i want to go with yennefer since shes the canon choice and literally THE love interest but i like triss' personality a lot more. I don't think ill be replaying this anytime soon (maybe in a year or so) and just want to hear your guys' opinions and why you chose who you chose.
Hi guys, looked online but no one seems to have the same problem as me. I’m doing the gwent quest right now in Skellige, and I’ve just completed kings gambit. And when I go to play gwent with Lugos as he’s the last one on the list, he refuses to play Gwent with me and tells me to fuck off.. how can I fix this? Anyone have this problem before? Thanks!
I want to buy Witcher III but I don't know which bundle should I choose. There are two options: One with all three games; And the second with a base game and 2 DLCs(Blood & Wine; Hearts of Stone) They cost almost the same, the difference is ±9₴, which is less than 0,5$, so it's only a question of interest.
I usually buy bundles of games that I know I'll like, and I'm sure that I'll like Witcher, cause I've played Cyberpunk 2077 from CDPR already and I loved it + I like this type of games.
Many say that TW is the best game in history (including myself), but have you ever stopped to think why? Yes, the story is beautiful and incredible, but is it really the best story in games? I think not. I love the gameplay and the possibility of creating various skills for our character, but sometimes I find the gameplay a bit clunky. I'm Brazilian, and the game's dubbing in my language isn't the best, and let's face it, the game has many repeated NPCs, which can be comedic at times. But even with all these issues, TW is the best game ever made, at least for me. The game is so incredible (I'm not exactly sure why) that these problems become nothing. And what about you? Why is The Witcher 3 the best game ever made?
But not of all Witcher monsters like vampires, drowners and leshen.
I want a list of all the made up monsters that peasants and villagers came up with that Geralt laughs at the fact they don’t exist. there’s soo many in all the books that I honestly can’t remember.
Hi!
So far so long, I learnt the hard way how to manage almost any foes in The Witcher 3 (I'm level 12). I learnt how to use all signs in combat, all but Yrden. I don't really understand how it works. It's supposed to be useful against wraiths, but they're far too mobile for me. Only reliable way I found to make them corporeal and beat them is moon dust bomb. Works like charm. Did I made something wrong, or should I forget about Yrden completely ?
I’ve seen what the show and games looks like but I have never seen what the sword he uses in the books look like does anyone have an accurate illustration of it?
I now own Witcher 3 on 3 platforms. Too much?
It is interesting if third part will get like a small patch with FSR 4. Currently Witcher has FSR 2.1 and it looks way worse than DLSS. Hopefully CD Projekt ain't that focused on Witcher 4 that they won't release new FSR for 8000s series
