NG status is far beyond an average deck. Don't be deceived by the "stats" and bar graphs that make NG look weak, those are 1% stats on wins spread across a 3% scale, to make it look like a big difference.
Catriona needs nerfed to 11 prov.
Philippe van moorlehem needs nerfed to 10, as he deletes any card every turn, too strong.
NG is not a bad performer, despite those arguments that a 1% difference in win rate means they are disadvantaged.
NG is the winter that no one can survive, they are the anti-life to every deck, with every tool specialized to cut you off at the knees. They are the bad guys.
I keep running into the WIJ Hunger deck and first of all it seems unstoppable. I do not have any answer to this deck do you? How can you even counter it?
But it also kinda looks fun to play. I have checked all the deck sheets and everything but cannot find a card list. Does someone know how I can find the list?
13 straight wins and 2-0 machine. Give it a shot
I’m not sure if this interaction has been discussed or explained already, but can anyone tell me why they respond differently? And is this intentional or a bug?
So I'm playing a syn crime deck against a syn collusion deck. I'm down a card on the last round, he plays first. It ends up with the points being 18 for me and 17 for him, he has one card left to play. He leaves. I'm deeply confused. He had two spenders on the board, so as long as he has a card that gives him points or coins, he wins.
The only thing I can think of is pulling the strings, I had a 6 and a 12 point card on the board. But even then, surely he gets a single coin at least from it, if he's unable to pull a 6, or does it not give you coins if you can't pull?
I don't have the best internet but I rarely run into trouble playing other online games. With Gwent, almost every game I'll get "Connection lost" I believe on my end, and every couple games it won't reconnect. I'm not sure why this is happening. Is something wrong with the servers?
Leader (Monster)
👑 Leader Ability, +15 Provisions
Order: Spawn and play Woodland Spirit.
This ability adds 15 provisions to your deck's provisions limit.
We never hunt in these woods. Not even if it means the whole village'll starve.

Learning strategies of all the different decks. Very fun.
Without a Farseer, you have such a limitation in R1, which you really want to win in order to run Torque last play of R3. You have to be careful not to buff Torque R1, I'd imagine. Any general tips when you DON'T draw well in R1. In the video Lerio seems to draw perfectly all 3 games. Thanks!
Edit* Link Fixed
I've been quite resistant to how many needless nerfs NG has gotten and next to no significant buffs. All the while NG has the worst winrate according to Gwentdata.com, which really is the only tool we have. The majority of seasons NG has the lowest winrate, and sometimes the difference between NG and 5th lowest faction is less then best faction and 5th. NG is also the only faction that has more nerfs than buffs (Source for every BC listed by number).
But still, NG keep getting nerfs again and again. I guess by sheer hopelessness, mixed with brainwashing here on reddit, and at 7 different occasions NG haters showing up at my house IRL when I'm practicing my ''ALBAAAAAAAA'' battlecry. smh guys, smh.
My suggestions for NG nerfs that can be spread out over multiple BCs:
1: Usurper: Officer -power, 6 -> 5. Very strong card. Good enough reason right?
2: Usurper: Officer -power, 5 -> 4. Very strong card. Good enough reason right?
3: Usurper: Officer -power, 4 -> 3. Very strong card. Good enough reason right?
4: Usurper: Officer -power, 3 -> 2. Very strong card. Good enough reason right?
5: Usurper: Officer -power, 2 -> 1. Very strong card. Good enough reason right?
I'm replaying gwent, playing as northern realms, and i simply cannot find Gezras or cat witcher cards to craft. I've seen opponents play cat witchers, and im at a lost why they dont show up in deck builder. when i go to the overall screen i can find them, but in my northern realms deck, they dont show.
edit: ok thanks everyone. its scoitel. guess ill have to build a new deck. thanks for the quick replies.
Hi, i have been brewing many decks that aren’t control focus but it seems to fail in high MMR pro rank. Of course i am not looking for decks without any control( i would be happy to try if you have any) but which decks are you playing this season? Thank you for suggestions ❤️
What are playstyles of diffrent decks? Which one do I pick? why people surrender before winning? Can you guys give me tips for smooth expirience.
I keep bumping into former Gwent players in other games who wish that the pre-homecoming version of Gwent was available to play still. For me, it was the greatest card game I'd ever played and I've been chasing that high ever since. It took it's role as a card advantage and strategic play game and really dominated that genre (though it wasn't without some flaws that needed fixing).
Did anyone ever recreate it somewhere? Now that CDPR isn't supporting this version either, would the be opposed to a fan project to bringing it back?
So the game is still quite popular and if devs choose to even let the community balance the game and keep servers up even after the end of official support this could mean that we will see CD project give us some new cards eventually.
Also I just absolutely love Gwent and it really stands out amongst other TCGs I have played.
Let's say its a duel between you and your opponent. Whoever loses will die irl. What deck will you choose?
reavers
I'm on Fedora 41, playing Gwent on steam just freezes the game on the main menu section. Tried different versions of Proton for compatibility still didnt work.
Any ideas how to make Gwent playable on Fedora Linux?
Shin is on vacation, but we are back with our monthly poll to see the community’s level of support for potential Balance Council ideas. This poll is NOT "pick your top 3" but rather "select all the changes that you would support if we put it on our final BC list." If you pick your absolute favorites instead, the poll would become more of love/hate character, which we want to avoid. What we want to learn mostly from the poll are 'red flag' changes - what absolutely shouldn't be included.
Keep in mind that we are not necessarily advocating for all of these changes; we often include ideas which are good for debate or which emerged in the community during the month. This survey is to help give us some insight from the community on whether or not certain changes could successfully make it through the voting process.
We removed most options which had very high or very low support in the last poll in order to keep the poll concise (e.g. Land Of A Thousand Fables, vanilla Ciri). Yet there are a few repeat options that are still there so we can get updated feedback.
You can change your votes even after you submit them. There is no hard deadline, but we will likely make our final recommendation around 5 days before the end of the season. Shin and I will not simply take the top 3 voted options in each category and throw them into our final BC list. There are a lot of other things to consider including but not limited to faction balance, what other influential groups are doing, and what the casual voters might be pushing through.
For this month, we expect the following changes to be very likely to go through. Try to keep this in mind when voting.
Nauzica Sergeant -1 power (Casual voters flip-flop this card every season)
Renfri +1 provision
Jan Calveit -1 provision
Highland Warlord +1 provision
Less guaranteed than the above, but still likely coming from casual and revert-focused voters: Slave Driver +1 provision, Lord Riptide +1 power.
Here is the poll: https://forms.gle/V5cTwHPQmcKHoLiBA
Thanks for participating! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and suggestions.
Cheers and Happy Holidays,
Lerio

Dear Gwentlemen,
If you want balance, then it should be obvious that in the next BC, most nerfs must be focused on SY, with NR as a runner-up. And NG being consistently gutted for over a year now, should receive the most buffs.
You want real balance? This is what you vote for. Stop being a slave to your emotions.
Crime, Salamandra (Syndicate)
🔥 Special, 4 Provisions (Rare)
Damage an enemy unit by 4. If you control at least 2 Salamandra units, damage by 6 instead.
Human life is fragile. Especially in Novigrad.

People have different opinions on buffing NG. But most of us can agree that we need to nerf(permanently, not in ping-pong style) NG for some definitely-not-random reason every BC. So hear me out on this.
After careful consideration, I believe this card requires nerf because it is too efficient and versatile. Compare it to Geralt of Rivia or Lord Riptide or some other unit removal cards and you see what I mean. Kill enemy units and mill a bronze and have 5 power for only 9 provisions? Too good. Not to mention the shenanigans of killing friendly units for summoning big stuff. It is too good based on many many standards.
Plus a trivial point is that this card is played in almost all NG decks and nerfing it will iNsPiRe mOrE VaRiEtY in NG builds. NG players can try other means of unit removal, such as playing Tourney Jousts...What do you mean that bronze engines are now mostly at 5 power? Go sort it out yourself for fuck sake.
Or go play StAnDaRd BeArEr. What do you mean it is not seen in play? It is not seen in play because you are not playing it duh. NG players quit whining and bitching please.
To the NG players of the world. I generally accept most of the meta archetypes. Assimilate is super cool. When I get destroyed by a Flanking deck, I feel like it was earned. You are going to lock all my units down? That's fine by me. Even when I pop of in my NR Power deck and get absolutely destroyed by a NG Power deck, I don't bat an eye.
But Tibor makes me want to puke. Oh yeah, let's just copy Imperial Practitioner a billion times, thin our entire deck, and drop Vilgefortz: Renegade. Tibor is now in my graveyard and all I can do is shudder in fear. I watch helplessly as the NG player uses every single one of their order abilities they have which, let me check, is a billion to make a billion copies of Tibor in their deck.
Oh, did you lose the first round? That's so sad. Here's a billion Tibor draws so that your opponent has to deal with a bunch of 15 power behemoths with Immunity that infuse a random unit on your field with a thing that damages them when they get a status like, oh, i don't know, Infused!? I will take my extra card draws because now i am just fishing for a Scorch.
I am a NR player. I play boost and soldiers. I am used to nice and fair slap a person in the face and then wait for your slapping. But what can I do against an such an unstoppable force?
I haven't seen much play with them recently since getting to Rank 6. Maybe there is a way to counter the meta that I just don't know about. But that will never change the the taste of blood in my mouth and the flames of anger that envelope my very being everytime I see Tibor and his silly little horse.
Normally complaint/rant posts without deeper explanations are discouraged for not adding anything to a discussion but this is the place for you to vent and let all that pent up frustration out. This is your chance to throw a hissy fit about current meta or rage about how overpowered X card and Y faction is!
