Did anyone else see the group of three tilt-rotor aircraft over Wilmington around 10:15 this morning? I was standing in line to vote and didn't get a great look at them - thought they were Ospreys at first, but they seemed too quick and the rotor sound seemed off. Anyone else catch a glimpse? Were they V-22, V-280, or something else? We get the V-22s down here all the time, but I've only ever seen the V-280 once before.

my mom has a film canon eos elon 7n, canon eos 40D, and a sony handycam im looking to get repaired. i dont know whats wrong with them, and they dont work. i have many missing pieces and im not really sure what im looking for. is there a store or a person in wilmington i can go to that would know better than me? id be willing to pay a pretty penny to get these babies back in gear, they are so valuable!

Why are the buzzards cirling over us?

I dropped my 2024 absentee ballot directly in a post office on Monday 10-28. Ballottrax and my voting history both show no record of it even being received by the Board of Elections, and much less, the post office hasn’t even indicated they have it yet.

Absentee ballots MUST be received by 7pm Election Day or they don’t count.

Yall PLEASE double check your absentee voter status! I am likely going to have to go in person Tuesday

I went to vote this morning in downtown Wilmington at CFCC and when I tried to check in and they could not find a record of me being registered. I vote in EVERY single election. During presidential elections, I typically vote on election day. That was my plan again this year but at the last minute, I decided to vote this morning. Thankfully I did because I wouldn’t have been able to register on Election Day. Very strange and disturbing. Has this happened to anyone else?

Edit: I’ve lived in New Hanover county for a long time, and I’ve been at the same address for many years. So that’s not an issue. And again, I never miss an election.

The moral of the story is to get out and vote today!! Because this is the last day you can actually register. Yes, the lines will be long, but please vote.

I would like to form a group of people to meet maybe once a week to do an activity like playing pool, watching a game at a sports bar, or something social like that. Ideally 5 or 6 people. Just wanting to put a feeler out there regarding Resin 3D Printing. Within the past few months I needed some stuff printed out and I realized there was nothing around here.

And for just a little more information there are two popular forms of printing. There is FDM printing which extrudes material in specific patterns to produce a final shape, with FDM using molten plastic (sometimes combined with other materials) as its extrusion medium.

While Resin printers have a container with a clear, flexible bottom sheet, also called a vat, which is filled with a photosensitive resin that cures, or solidifies, when coming into contact with UV light.

Usually it is meant for more artistic rather than functional prints. Like busts or dioramas.

So if anyone is looking to print something I can help!

We're in Charlotte currently but will be moving to Wilmington, otherwise I would ask our doctors/nurses for recs. Any recommendations for great, attentive pediatricians who you've loved for your kids? He'll probably have more appts than the average baby, so hoping to find someone we really like. Thanks!

I work for a pediatric clinic in town and I have had a few families ask where a good neighborhood is to trick or treat. Some of them are from Western Carolina and unfamiliar with the area so any advice would help!
