Where does everyone buy their bags, belts & wallets etc from? I'm based in the UK and options with B-Corp level eco credentials seem minimal when looking for vegan leather as the material. Starting to think there's a business opportunity. Is there anything you're all finding tough to source / issues with what you have already?
Hi! I saw someone posted about this a couple years ago but pretty much all the creators were women. I know all the main ones like Shelbizzle, sustainably vegan, my green closet, etc... I've also been watching Jenny Mustard for years. I love all these channels but also wish there were guy youtubers out there. Anyone know of any? Thank you! <33
Hi everyone,I am the co-founder of Ganddee, a sustainable lifestyle app. Think of it as the Google Maps for sustainable places. While other platforms promote new green products, we believe that sustainable consumption should also include vegan shops, zero waste shops, second-hand shops, charity shops, rental places, etc., in addition to sustainable new products. We feature around 2,000 physical stores and hundreds of online businesses in UK, some offering special discounts. We have a special discount from vegan stores like MuLondon, Wild Cosmetics and many more.
I would love to receive feedback on the app and would be grateful if you could suggest any vegan stores online/physical in the UK. We have been relying on our community to suggest new places and inspire each other. All the suggestions can be done through app.
If you are a owner of a vegan store, I would love to connect and explore how I can help you reach a wider audience.

Happy New Year, or New Year New Me I guess…
I wanted to try Veganuary this year because I want to get healthier and happier and hopefully I will make an impact to the Planet as well.
My goal this year is to be more sustainable while staying healthy.
I am currently a Vegetarian, so I will finish the rest of the dairy products in my fridge and then try to go full Vegan.
Altough I have some questions: do you guys eat meals that are still good but would go to waste that contain non vegan products? For example if your non-vegan friend does not want to finish their Pizza but you are still hungry for it.
i want to commission a proper platter tutu ballet dress. someone who would keep in touch over discord and could make this out of vegan secondhand materials <3 anyone here interested?? i have a high budget for this
Hello vegans against waste,
You may or may not have seen some drama floating around Reddit recently regarding API's. Regrettably, I'm here to inform you that this is actually a significant issue regarding the way many users (including us moderators) interact with Reddit as a platform.
Please have a read of the following information so you can see what it is about:
What's going on?
A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface.
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.
What's the plan?
On June 12th, many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy. Some will return after 48 hours: others will go away permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren't able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app. This isn't something any of us do lightly: we do what we do because we love Reddit, and we truly believe this change will make it impossible to keep doing what we love.
What can you do?

I volunteer for a company called Vegan Founded - we are a non-profit CIC doing our best to highlight the real vegan businesses that are 100% vegan, don’t test on animals and are vegan owned.
We have created a online directory of these real vegan businesses that you can browse on our website. We are still relatively small and predominantly UK based but we would love to have some help from the community to encourage businesses to sign up and showcase the demand for these real vegan businesses💚🌱
We often use the motto ‘demand ethical businesses, not just options’ Which I think sums up what we’re trying to achieve nicely.
Thank you for reading this 💚
Just trying to reduce my plastic waste by switching all my soaps to bars. Looks like all the face bars have bees wax or goat milk 🤢 any recs??
This is kind of a vent. How do you deal with being "the picky one?" I feel like I'm constantly having to be careful to not be the weird person always being "picky" about stuff, to not make others feel judged. I live in a smaller farming town and while many people have some interest in environmental stuff like using less plastic or bringing their own shopping bags, no one else gets the things I care about. I have a hard time enjoying community/church activities because stuff and food is central and I don't want any of it. It goes against my values. But then I will have no friends that I can share my values with because I do feel strongly about these things and others that, by nature of feeling strongly about, makes it clear I disagree with how others live. Which to many people is too uncomfortable to deal with even when I try to not say anything or be mean about it, I just do my thing with my strong convictions. And it makes me uncomfortable being places where everyone is loving their stuff and food that I wish was never produced because of the harm it's caused. I definitely know people come to their values over time, I haven't always had these same values. So I get that people might just not know what I know. I just wish it was more common. I'm not even really sure if this makes sense, I had a recent mini identity crisis haha, thanks for reading if you did.
Just a little PSA. I tried some fluoridated tooth tabs that foam up delightfully. So please excuse me while I shill for Kaylaan. I'm just glad to have found some tooth tabs that aren't chalky. They have some flavors I am not adventurous enough to try lol.
