I have been buying benevo off of amazon for a while at a high price and it has been working fine. Recently I placed an order for benevo and it has not shown up and has not even shipped. I have had to resort to (already bought prior to either of us going vegan) canned tuna fish and vegan dog food to keep my kitty fed. I tried looking at the benevo website and they only ship within the UK. I am in the stupid usa.. I need some kitty food NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I tried ordering off of ecodogsandcats website and bought a bag of benevo and a bag of ami food but some reviews online say that ecodogsandcats may be defunct? They charged my card though... I need a good reliable website that can regularly ship me Benevo cat food! PLEASE!!
UPDATE: Thank you all for the responses! I appreciate them all! I have just received my benevo cat food from amazon and my kitty cat is eating it now! I think if ecodogsandcats can reliably ship things, then I will probably start buying from them instead of Amazon because ecodogsandcats has more variety of selections and better prices. :D Thank you thank you! I'm so glad people like you guys exist.
So I’m currently giving him a mix of Royal canin and his old pb food. He was at carnist vets so they suggested a carnist diet with Calm briskets and made me buy Royal Canin Urinary S/O.
Should I just keep buying him Royal Canin etc. or is there any better solution? He has started peeing but only pees a little. I live in a small country where there is barely any vegan cat food available. Are there any more ethical animal-based products that might help him? What to do?
Hey there I am currently looking for vegan dog food for my girlfriend's dog, he's a 34kg labrhusky I know that big dogs are more likely to have DCM (dilated cardiomyopathy) and it seems like their might be a link between high in legumes diet and DCM... So I was wondering if anyone knew of a good brand that offers kibble where légumes is not part of the main ingredients? (We live in France) FYI, the most recent infos I could find comes from this article: https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/nutrition/dilated-cardiomyopathy-dogs-update/
For people feeding their cats vegan, what’s treats do you give your cat? Would love something affordable and easy to give them throughout the day/before bed, like dreamies or something but vegan. I’m based in the UK and can find precisely zero options, please help :)
I have two rats, and I would like them to eat a completely plant-based diet. I live in Estonia and haven't found any commercial rat foods that I can buy or order here. I did find 'Supreme Science Selective Rat and Mouse 1.5kg' on eBay, but the shipping price is too high. any recommendations? If I don't find any store-bought rat food, I plan to make my own mix, so I would like to know which ingredients I should add!!
My cats refused it outright after a while, but I'd rather it not go to waste.
We are hoping to be able to take in one of the 2600 greyhounds that will need to be rehomed now that NZ will ban greyhound racing. (assuming our landlord can be convinced!)
The dog will no doubt have been fed a meat diet since birth.
Has anyone transitioned an older dog (greyhound if possible) off meat and onto a plant-based diet?
Any tips or tricks or difficulties would love to know.
Thanks!
I am low on Vegedog and it's out of stock everywhere. This has happened before; I think it's only one supplier for all the vendors. I've been using this for 20 years so I don't know a comparable supplement. What do I do if I can't get it? I am OK on Vegeyeast.
Hey vegan friends, I'm part of a small team looking to create a new Australian-made plant based food for dogs. If you have a dog, we'd love to get your thoughts and feedback in this survey. It takes 2 mins and can be done anonymously. Thank you!!
(I know this has been asked plenty in the past here but most links are dead) I’m vegan and my family has two cats and I know I’d have no chance of convincing the others to switch the cats to a vegan diet(I’m not even convinced) but I give them treats occasionally and if they’re getting meat in their main diet I doubt they’d need it from treats. Preferably something with no prep. One of them likes catnip but the other doesn’t care for it.
The vecado pumpkin cat treats looked appealing but I’m skeptical of the cinnamon and nutmeg. I’ve seen people suggest evolution as treats but I’ve also heard suspicious things about that company. Noochies! freeze dried cat snacks look promising but a bit expensive and I wonder if I could make something similar with my nutritional yeast if that’s safe.
My dogs have been vegan for over a year and they're doing great, I have been feeding them kibble but now I would like to give them fresh food (PawCo looks like a good option but it's too expensive) so now I'm thinking of making it at home but I'm not confident that I can get all the nutrients that they need without buying a bunch of supplements so what I want to do it's give them half kibble and half homemade food, what ingredients that will benefit the health of my dogs should I use for the homemade food?
We recently got a puppy and I've been trying to find a homemade vegan puppy recipe with no luck. Does anyone have any they know of and could share ? TIA! For reference we have a goldendoodle mix. He's around 5 months now and weighs nearly 50 lbs. He's expected to get up to 65-95 lbs.
Anybody have vegan hamster food that’s mixed rather than just pellets
My dog has a sensitive GI system and had very soft stools and gas on several vegan food brands (Halo, Wild Earth, Pawco Instabites), all of which have multiple protein sources. I then used BalanceIt software and supplements to put together a homemade diet centered on barley and tofu, and he's doing great on that. So, I'd like to find a vegan kibble that uses soy as its primary or only protein source. Any recommendations?
I’m wondering if anyone has knowledge about the current DCM situation and if anyone has any recommendations for a good dog food that is free of any legumes, pulses, and potatoes?
Some background: I used to feed my dog vdog until my vet warned me about foods that are high in pulses and legumes. After doing a lot of research, I made a moral compromise of feeding her the insect recipe from open farm. All of the plant based foods I looked at had either pea protein, some other sort of legumes, or potato protein high in their ingredient list.
The open farm insect recipe has been good. I like the nutritional content and my dog enjoys it. However, it’s now discontinued and I’m in desperate need of finding an alternative. After doing some more research I’m not finding any good vegan alternatives and I haven’t been able to find any more information or studies about the DCM linkage. Is this even something I need to be worried about anymore? Any suggestions or information would be extremely helpful. Thank you!
My pup is newly vegan thanks to an apparent allergy to all animal proteins. I’ve been able to find food and treats that she loves, but I’m struggling to find something to put on her lick mat during bath time. I bought several varieties of peanut butter (the ones with extra flavor to appeal to dogs even more), but it seems she just doesn’t like peanut butter at all. Does anyone else have this issue? What do you use?

Anyone know of any vegan probiotics that are seed oil free for dogs?

What are everyone's thoughts on the new Wild Earth Vegan Cat Food?
Hi all! Recently been starting to switch my two dogs onto vegan kibble. I have been mixing half meaty wet food, half kibble, and for the most part they had been eating it with no issue, but now one of the dogs is eating the meaty bits and trying to leave the kibble behind. Any suggestions for toppers/mixers for kibble that are flavorful or meat-like? I read on one post that some people make a kind of protein rich stew using TVP and lentils, but I'm not sure if that would be okay?
Strangely enough, the dog that is normally obsessive about all food is the one that is now trying not to eat the kibble. I'm not sure how I can make it look more appetizing for him. This is the fourth vegan food that I have tried so far, and this has been the case with all of them. (Current is Benevo adult)
Does anyone know of a plant based kibble specifically for large breeds? We have ours on a puppy mix now, because she's 4 months, but she'll end up being 100-120lbs, and typically a large breed kibble is recommended.
i think small snakes and jumping spiders are really cute but for obvious reasons i’m adverse to feeding them bugs/mice (bugs are animals too). Is there anything that you all know of that can substitute that? There are a handful of herbivore spider/snake breeds but idk if those are available to own.
I am wondering if anyone has found some favored treats, recipes, or vegan dog food that their baby enjoys that I can look into? Our chihuahua is new to the vegan diet! Thank you!
