Id like to see our civil discussions continue. Personally im migrating to saidit.net but ruqqus looks okay too. None of my subs have been banned but I don't think public discourse should only reside in a delicate corporate environment-gotta support the competition!
I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but I was thinking about moving to Utah for it's probably gun stance but I have read articles saying that Utah will only stay red for 10 more years, is this true?
I've never understood why someone on the right would want a "nanny state."
I mean obviously there’s a huge selection effect, we’re talking about the Democrats in Utah, not the average utahn, but is there some logical reason why Utah’s left would be particularly radical?
I'm against it. Marriage should be between one man and one woman. Anything else leads to increased abuse and social instability. Even if it's just on the margins, it would be best if we do not give this lifestyle legitimacy. Polygamy should only be permitted under exceptional, rare circumstances. There is no great gender imbalance in the US today. There's no reason to allow such a thing.
I can see November from my house you sack of shit.
I'm old school. For me, it would be my '94 Winchester in .44 mag. Sure, an AR platform is more practicle, and yes, I've put together two of them over the years, but the Win '94 simply has more personality.
I hope Burgess Owens wins the primary as I'd love to see him in the House.
I'm NOT from Utah, but will send him some love (ie $) if he wins the primary.
I know this has been posted over in r/utah as well, but I feel it's important that the word is spread as far as possible. Please reach out and sign the 2019 Tax Referendum. We are taxed beyond enough as it is. The proposed tax increases will break middle and lower-class families. For a signing location near you, check:

Also, associated food stores Harmons, Lin's, and Albertson's have opened their stores to allow witnesses to set up tables and collect signatures. This issue needs to be on the ballot for Utahns to vote on, not simply rammed down our throat through special legislative session.
