What is Utahs protocol physical custody regarding the Franke children being placed outside the home rather than their dad Kevin? I’m surprised that Kevin Franke has to file for custody when he and Ruby had the children while they were married
Our state representatives, including Gov. Cox, have stated that there is a correlation between fentanyl use and border policy. Here are some stats that they might have misinterpreted, somehow -
In 2021, U.S. citizens were 86.3 percent of convicted fentanyl drug traffickers.
Over 90 percent of fentanyl seizures occur at legal crossing points or interior vehicle checkpoints, not on illegal migration routes.
Just 0.02 percent of the people arrested by Border Patrol for crossing illegally possessed any fentanyl whatsoever.

I live in a precinct in Provo that has 3 or 4 different gated communities and is heavily populated by families making 4x and more times the median income, and wealthy retired long-time residents.
The voting wasn’t even very close:
Haley 52 votes
Trump 35 votes
That’s about a 60 / 40 split.
The caucus had a few die-hard MAGAs but there was applause when some of the would-be county delegates said they though Haley would be a good president, or that they couldn’t vote for Trump a third time because “he had crossed too many lines.”
Hello, I turned 18 last summer and will be able to vote in the upcoming 2024 election. I am unsure how to register to vote and, when the time comes, how to acutely cast my vote. I
I live in Utah and would like help or direction to a place where I can learn more about this.
Thank you!

Primary elections determine the frontrunners of the major parties for Federal, State and Municipal elections. They provide an opportunity to change the party leadership, among other things. In recent years, expat votes have been the deciding factor in many close elections.

I am aware of the recent bills passed in Utah, and where they stand with DEI. However, I’m not sure how it’s directly affecting my school. I am a student at UVU and I’m taking a public speaking class. In this class we recently took a quiz and some of the questions were regarding how to address an audience with inclusion and using inclusive language. Is this allowed with the new bills signed? My professor seems more concerned with inclusion, and inequality than the actual public speaking course.

Utah Republicans passed a bill to 'make bathrooms safer,' so I made this printable poster to highlight the danger male legislators pose in public bathrooms.
You can download a printable version here and put them up to warn the public. I designed this but it's free for anyone to post, print, display, etc.
No one ever talks about how to run for office, but people always say there needs to be more grounded people in office.
Clinging to fossil fuels because they are a part of the old economy in Utah, just doesn’t make sense anymore. The revolution is coming and if we want to get the most out of it, we need to embrace change. The volatility, instability and environmental impacts of fossil fuels make them a poor long-term bet for Utah. Natural disasters, small-scale wars like Israel v Hammas, inflation, OPEC politics…
Yes, renewables need better transmission and storage options, but instead of waiting on the sidelines for these innovations, we should invest and get in on the energy revolution. https://apnews.com/article/energy-renewables-climate-war-oil-7b0cf535f33a3b33a2bfd8a462850ff4
