Im an OSU alumnus. I come in peace. I’m going to the game Saturday. Is there a decent breakfast joint or around campus to go to Saturday morning?
Hiya! One of my friends (does not have reddit) has gone over two months without his prescribed ADHD meds. I was wondering if anyone knew of a place other than the downtown CVS who would have Adderall IR? Thanks (:
Is there anyone going to Harrisburg for the rally who could give me a lift? I am looking for a ride and maybe a company :)
Just moved to the area and need to find a new place to get my hair cut. I have what I’d call medium length hair wavy hair (think timothee chalemet), so I have a tough time finding a place sometimes. Going to a barber runs the risk of getting a bad cut from someone who primarily does clipper cuts/fades, and going to a hair stylist runs the risk of a bad cut from someone who’s used to primarily longer women’s hair. Does anyone with similar hair to me have a recommendations for a good men’s scissor cut so I can avoid the trial and error of finding a place I like? Thanks! I’m looking in state college or Bellefonte area.
Today I went to the early voting spot at the Hammond Building and was told there was a 1-hour wait. I didn't have the time today, so I opted to leave and I will try again tomorrow. I am thinking of trying the early voting in Bellefonte instead. I was curious to know if anyone's gone recently and can tell me if there was a long wait. Any insights?
Does anyone know of places I can look for short-term leases within 30ish minutes of state college from August to December? A lot of the rental sites I’m looking at have a minimum 6-month lease for studio apartments. Thanks!
Would love to go to osu/psu this weekend. I see people selling tickets, but all hotels seems 1000+ per night. Anyone have a room or anything available this weekend?
My friend and I are thinking about coming up for the football game Saturday against Maryland. With it being Thanksgiving weekend, will it be pretty dead at night Friday and Saturday or still pretty lively?

Is anyone going for the Halloween party tonight?
Husband was downtown near our church and he says it’s absolutely crazy with traffic. I asked him to come home before the crazies left their rally. I can’t believe PSU rented the BJC during a home game.

Hello. I've seen many threads on here about their social lives (or lack thereof) and since I'm in the same boat I'm gonna step outside my comfort zone a bit. I would like to host a small Halloween party Friday Nov 1st. I am 37 so this party is geared more towards the millennial crowd. Moved here a year ago to go back to school and its been super hard to meet or make friends around my age. If you're interested send me a msg.
Hello! I am looking to buy your pokemon cards, if you have them.
My intent is to take the ones in good shape and grade them for reselling, and for the poor condition cards I will likely resell them on ebay. Because I am able to grade cards for value I can pay way more than most TCG stores, depending on the condition. Thought it would be helpful to be transparent up front, and if you would like to meet up to talk about selling I pay cash. Thanks Everyone!
Hey guys, need an urgent ride from State College, PA to NYC on October 27th.
2 people and 4 suitcases.
Willing to pay $150 in total!
Let me know.
Hello! My partner and I bought a home with an old coal stove that was used by the previous owner to heat the entire home every winter. We would love to use it but have absolutely no idea how it works as we've never had one before. Can anyone recommend a company/business they have used for something like this in the past? We want to make sure we take care of annual maintenance and learn how to use it safely moving forward! Thanks!
hi all! i’ve been going to one salon consistently since i’ve been up here but they keep changing their staff and i’m increasingly not happy with my services.
are there any recommendations for nail salons or independent nail techs in the area??
thanks!
My fiancé REALLY loves cows. He’s always wanted to get the opportunity to pet one. If anyone knows of a place where I can make an appointment or literally anything to make this happen for him, I would be really appreciative!
I recently cut down three small trees at my residential home and don’t know how to dispose of them. I spoke to my township and trash collector and both say they don’t collect trees. Who can I contact to get the tree debris picked up?
Hello everyone! My wife and I are looking for some spots to do a photoshoot to showcase the autumn backdrop, any suggestions? Google maps links would be very much appreciated 🙏
Does anyone have recommendations for a person or business that could shorten curtains for me?

For the past few days or so, the bells have seemed louder to me? Is this just my imagination or has anyone else noticed it?
Hi everyone,
I'm transferring up to state college for the spring semester at Penn State and am looking to start a low-income soccer camp. Does poverty even exist in State College? Are there kids that suffer from this, or only older adults? Where are these communities if they exist? I'm just trying to do some preliminary research, thank you!!
I'm not going to name any of the businesses here but I'll say this much. Since we're new to the area I've looked up so many different places such as doctors, furniture stores, restaurants and the fake reviews are rampant. So many places have hundreds of 5-star reviews from people who've only written one review in their life. I've gotten to the point where I am avoiding businesses with fake reviews.
Its so appallingly obvious too. Let me give you one example, I was looking for a medical specialist (Not going into detail). The one with the highest ratings had almost 300 reviews, the surrounding 5 businesses had at most 20. You really think that doesn't look suspicious? Also they are overwhelmingly positive with no specifics to the practice. Very few mentions of the name of the doctors or the staff. No mention of what they were actually going in for. Just a bunch of glowing recommendations for "Doctor."
Thanks to this subreddit for giving me recommendations when I needed it.
