    Bike helmets in Beaver Stadium?

Hi all! As someone who just moved to SC, I’m really excited to go to my first home game tomorrow! To avoid the car traffic, I’m hoping to take an e-bike, but I’m wondering: will I be stopped from bringing a bike helmet into the stadium? Does anyone know of a good place to stash a helmet on campus? Thanks in advance for any advice!

Long haul moving in state college

I’m looking for any movers in state college. We’re moving out of state and would like to find reputable long haul movers. Trying to get consistent reviews online feels impossible, so I’m unsure which movers are best. I was curious if there are any companies with a branch in state college? Or companies that others have used to move into/out of state college.

    Humid Home

We just moved into a townhome at Elksview, we are noticing the humidity is crazy inside our house. the landlords don't have a dehumidifier in the basement nor one integrated into the HVAC system. The carpets are musty etc. What can I do that doesn't hit the wallet that hard?

PS I did not think SC would be this humid.

Anyone else experiencing the Verizon outage in the area?

    https://mashable.com/article/verizon-outage-customers-nationwide-down-service

There's still not much of an answer from Verizon, and it looks like reporting is way underestimating how many people are affected... my phone has been off the cell network all morning. Was wondering what the impact is for the rest of people in the State College, PA area?

Random question, delete if violates any rules

Does anyone know what the hell the low flying black thing was along spruce creek today? Looked like it might have been a helicopter but didn’t have rotors.

It was much larger than a drone and flying probably 2-400ft up due to the low clouds.

    Rocky Horror

I am a quite sad to see that the state theatre isn’t hosting rocky horror this year (from what I can tell) and I can’t find any showings close to us. Does anyone know who and where will be showing it this year. I can’t miss this tradition!

New to Running in the Rain: Any Tips for a Newbie in State College?

Just moved to State College and the nature here is blowing my mind—it’s seriously gorgeous.

I’ve been a casual runner for like 10+ years, but I’m trying to turn that into a daily habit now. And of course, it’s been raining almost non-stop since I got here, lol.

I’m starting the Hard75 challenge tomorrow and running every day is a big part of it. For those who are used to running in the rain, what’s the best approach? Will a basic rain jacket get the job done, or should I be thinking of something else? I’ll be running mostly around the golf course area if that helps.

    Any advice would be awesome!

    Gym recommendations previously at F45

Hi guys, I’m looking for some gym recommendations. I’m a previous f45 junkie but wanted to see what else was out there. I love group classes, definitely like it to be on the harder side so I feel challenged. Strength training with a focus on HIIT has always been what I loved. Is there anything similar around State College? I also love spin classes and have recently become curious about Pilates. Thank you all!

Lockdown Browser Red Bar During Exam

Anyone know what it means if a RED LINE appears at the top of the screen during a Respondus Lockdown Browser test with a camera? It probably means a FLAG, but any thoughts what it might mean? All I did was sit still for a long time to think how to answer a written question

Getting an Uber to Altoona and back? at 9 PM?

I recently broke my foot and I wanted to know how easy would it be to get an Uber to go to Altoona for an MRI. I really don't have any options to get an MRI in State College in a timely manner. Most local places are booked until October. It’s a 40 minute drive at least and I don't know if Uber drivers are willing to do that around these parts.

    Local coffee politics

Does anyone know the politics behind any local coffee roasters- Rothrock? Idou? standing Stone?

I ask because I drove by where Idou parks their trailer, and they might have a Trump flag on their garage.

Before someone says it- you’re right. They can believe whatever they like. I can also use my money to support whoever I want.

    Fishing locations?

Where is a good place to fish for stocked trout at this time of the year? https://fbweb.pa.gov/TroutStocking This site says that the last stockings were at the end of April; should there be a reasonable amount of stockers left in the creeks?

Odd Question: Where's the Unisex Bathrooms?

So, a bit of a weird question. But, whenever I'm in public, I don't ever use the public bathrooms with stalls. I will only use the private, single bathrooms, either unisex or gender-specific private ones.

I haven't really seen any around here. Do any stores have them?

Selling a beater car any recommendations?

I have a 2012 compact car with over 198,000 miles on it. Not worth much to sell but I was curious if there were any scrap or salvage places in the area what may be willing to purchase the car?

Not really familiar with the area as I am new to it.

North Atherton Street Wine and Spirits

Driving by in the morning I sometimes see a line of people waiting to get in the store. Does the store secretly stock the shelves with rare bottles? Or are these people just some serious alcoholics that need their fix?

Looking for recommendation to humanely remove wasp nest

Hi. Can't remember where I saw it, but someone used to recommend someone local to State College who would remove different kinds of nests of bees / wasps without killing them. I could be wrong and maybe this was only honeybees, but I thought I would ask. I have a softball-sized wasp's nest at my house and would love it if there is someone out there who can remove it.

    Woodworking Classes

Are there any woodworking classes in the area? I know Rivet offers clearance classes on how to use woodworking tools, but I'm looking for more than that. I want a class that will teach me how to do various joins and help me actually create something like a cabinet box.
