Hi all! New to this sub but hoping you can help. I do marketing research and I'm working with a lighting client who is working on bringing a new lighting system to market. I need to get opinions from some of you experts and you're hard to find in traditional marketing research ways. So here l am on Reddit :) Would any of you be up for a paid interview to talk to me about off road vehicle lighting?
I am aware this looks like spam, but alas, this is my actual job and I would really like to talk to you!
Good afternoon y’all, I’m new to SoCal(Huntington Beach) and I’m looking to get some parts installed on my truck. Specifically King coilovers, Total Chaos Uppers, switch controllers, ditch lights, and various other smaller items. I’m capable of doing the work myself, however I can’t do it in my apartment complex. Is there a good diy shop near here, or a shop that will do the install for a good price? Thank you all for your advice and hope to see your rides and learn from y’all.
Is this an always 2-vehicle thing or like hiking, just having another body in case you have to resort to cannibalism?
Im struggling to find others that are free when I am, but I have some people that would be happy to ride along.
Hey guys just picked up my 2024 4Runner TRD OffRoad and I’m looking to get into to off-roading / camping. I live in SD but I’m willing to venture out a bit. Anybody have any must have items for the truck and/or places to off road and camp? TIA!
I was wheeling in Joshua Tree/Twentynine Palms area a few years back and parked outside of Pappy + Harriet’s for some lunch and a beer and came back out to a sticker on my driver side window (not adhered, but just wedged into the crack at the bottom of the window). It had the letters “YARB” on it with black yellow and red as the main colors. It was the same style as the classic oval “MOAB” or whatever stickers. I still to this day can’t figure out what it meant and I’m starting to really think I am a YARB. Does anyone know what it means or is familiar with it?
Whats up off roaders, I have 9 different parcels of land for sale in Lucerne Valley that would be perfect for an off road camp site, its also blm land! Check them out and reach out if you have any questions!

I recently bought a quad off my buddy. I'm trying to figure out what I need to do to get it transferred to my name. He had registration for it from 6 years ago but couldn't find the pink slip. I'm assuming I'll have some back fees but how do I go about getting a pink slip. Quad isn't stolen he just never registered it since he road around on his own property
Anyone go exploring this part of Santa Clarita? Is it easy terrain? I’m thinking of taking a new Subaru outback through the trails. Not looking to do anything too crazy but it would be cool to cruise around through the sand.
My name's Marc, I'm from South Carolina, I want wheeling today for the first time in Cali, I went to the Indian truck trail and realized I ain't ready to hit the mountains by myself considering I ain't got any where I'm from, so I'm looking for a group or a few good starter spots to get my bearings
I thought it would be fun to go to the peak on the 4th next weekend to watch all the fireworks and sunset but have a stock lighting setup on my 4Runner and don’t want to be stupid lol
Are there any off-road trails in / around Ojai? I’m going to be house sitting later this month and want to take my Jeep and Dirtbike but according to On X there’s nothing even close.
Anybody with experience out there near Ridgecrest? Im taking the wife and kid for a one night stay to hopefully see some of the northern lights tonight. Its cool to pitch a tent and have a small fire, yeah?
What's up OC!
Feeling the temp of who would be up for a day run to Anza. It's beena while since I've been out myself and would be great to meet some local off readers.
Cheers
My neighbor just bought a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited which was a pavement princess. (Jurassic Park themed) No book with it, didn't know how to shift it into and out of 4WD. We have a Tacoma, so no help there.
My Google-fu says Jeeps have to be shifted while in motion. Any hot tips for shifting? We are a bit concerned that this thing was probably never put in 4WD until now. Neighbor drove Baja in his youth, but is a bit rusty. Planning to take him to the local sand Island for some practice.
Hey, i am interested in talk about ohvs and what you ride and where you ride it. Just looking for people who enjoy riding their raptors and yzs in fhe desert snd then also cleaning up before we go.
DM me of you are interested in talking about this
Hi there, Im pretty new to offroading as I recently acquired my first offroad capable vehicle. I am looking to join a group or find some other people that are into the hobby that do regular runs. I have the offroad map finder app i think is called OX to find trails but i'm sure there are others I dont know about or that aren't on there.
Would love to chop it up with anyone interested in this type of activity and can offroad themselves. Feel free to respond to this thread or send a DM.
Got the 150hp compressor from HF and it burned up after my 3rd outing this year… the fuse actually melted.
Any recommendations for a replacement? Im not up for the $600 ARB yet. I have Ryobi 1 tools, so I thought maybe that instead of running a plug to the battery. Our lord Amazon seems to have a dozen replicas of what I had as well.
I’m learning jumps on my dirt bike. Looking for a fun forgiving spot with maybe some step ups. Does Gorman have features like that? Also I have a red sticker if anyone has suggestions for spots I can go after April
I normally head up Maple Springs and North main divide for a quick off road fix, but they’ve been closed for what feels like weeks. Any other nearby trails worth checking out?
Check out my new video with the defender 90 on some hard trails in lake arrowhead and big bear.
Anyone know if there is snow on Thomas mountain?
Been traveling mostly dirt from Canada and looking for more. Any ideas will help. Thanks.
