I’ve looked online but I can’t find a lot, I only assume it has something to do with brakes since it has a line and a banjo bolt, the bike is a 2021 kx250. I’m trying to remove the stator cover to replace the gasket so I was just wondering which bolts are safe to touch. Please excuse my lack of knowledge.
Does anyone have any knowledge as to what some of the differences on the 2013 model 350 xcf-w vs like a 2016 and up? And what some potential issues/weak points on the bike may be?
Talking to someone on facebook. Bike has 240 hours total, said he bought it 2 years ago with 205 hours on it. Only rides trails, and is asking $4000. I can probably get him down to $3500 (if people would consider that a fair price)
My use case would be mostly trails, no hard enduro or super technical stuff
How does one adjust a carb with no fuel/air mixture screw? I can only adjust idle screw. And yes I have looked all over the carb there is only the idle screw. I have also searched on google and can’t find anything. Would any of you wise ladies and gents know?
Thanks
Ps I cleaned the carb and cleaned the main and pilots jets.
I'm in the Phoenix area so it's gonna get warm. Got a new CRF450RX to rip on but I will be riding a lot with my 7 year old daughter. We ride mostly open desert but she's usually crusing around at 12 MPH. I have her bike set to go a max of 12MPH right now but it will go about 25 if I want. Anyway, I'm afraid of it overheating if Im putting around with her too much. Thinking first step is to get a TUSK radiator cap with a temp gauge on it but I'd also like a fan like the r/L has. The Trail Tech for the RX seems to be only available up to 2018 models. The universal has a warning about some bikes (specifically calls out the CRF450R) as requiring an upgraded electrical system to run it. Anything else I should consider?
Ive never rod a dirt bike i cant decide if i should get a kx100 or a yz85 im 23 5’10 200lbs
Basically what the title is but I’m asking for any advice on riding; I know the basics but I’m also scared of hurting or injuring myself on the bike and quad, but going on walls, in the water runoff trenches(do you know what I mean?) mud and sand+ ETC. I want to join him bc I know that’s his stress relief and I want to have a bonding activity that he enjoys too. Yes I have a helmet and riding boots…
so im putting 125ml of oil in my 125 but theres a manual online that says put 150-160 to 5l which would be 33/1 but i just need someone to correct that before i do put the oil in my bike...
I have a 08 yz450f and been trying for the past month to get the bike running w/o the choke on I tried to clean the carb and a new pilot jet as I broke the old but still same problem and just trying to get it seen by someone else , any suggestions ?
Just got done replacing the oil seal at the countershaft and the sprocket has a good amount of play and i didn't notice if it had this play before i replaced the seal. It's an 80's yamaha and I've read that some play is normal. The nut is torqued down to spec.
Live in BC Canada,it's inevitable I will travel some highway but only to get to the next fire service road, there's literally tens of thousands of kms of them here. I used to have a ktm 690 Enduro, and it was almost perfect, but just too big and heavy for single track.
So around here, a 350 is perfect for single track, but a 5-650, is perfect for the fire service roads/highways.
I'm thinking about a Honda 450l or RL, but i don't want to spend $10k. Can anyone give me some recommendations on what I might be able to find gently used (there's so many sweet 450x with low hours out there, but hard to street legalize them). Just general discussion and thoughts. Thanks!
Just picked this up last weekend off one of my mates. Has just recently had a fresh piston and full engine service as well as full general bike service so she’s running like a minter. I’ve got a 2t rs125 that I’m currently rebuilding but this is my first off roader, and mega stoked to get out this weekend! Any other XR owners have any tips or tricks they can recommend me to keep in mind?
first off i ride mainly trails or ill go out to the pits and mess around out there. i never full on race and im never pinning it unless im in 5th.
(i know im a lil pu$$y but i want this bike to last)
do you really need to change your oil after 7 or so hours of trail riding??? i find that extremely excessive and very expensive. i need someone to fill me in on this because i think its dumb. ALSO if i use aftermarket plugs and filters on the bike will it void the warranty thats on it?
I have a Sherco 250SE, it's got a carb. Does anyone have any advice about keeping the carb from icing up? I've ridden in -6C for half hour and no issues. How necessary are carb heaters and do any of you have any experience with and without them?
