The first single off an upcoming album that we self produced. We’ve been a band since high school but decided to actually release music years later.
This year's new addition to our tree is a 3D-printed homage to one of our favorite Supernova memories, the skanking banana! Happy skalidays, fam!
Hi all, I'm bringing my teen to the Seattle show in late January. Can. Not. Wait.
Anyhow, I'm going to make a playlist of FIF songs for her to listen to in order to get ready for the show, but I'm not sure where in the discography I should focus. Does anyone know if they're focusing more on later stuff in recent concerts? Or should I dig all the way back to Upbeats & Beatdowns?
YEEEOOOOOO….Everyone stop what you’re doing and go listen to Skank Williams’ new EP. Super rad ska/reggae versions of Tom T Hall, Hank III, and Loretta Lynn songs. Suuuuuper awesome 🤘🏼👹

I'm doing a statistical ranking of musicians in the ska, rocksteady, and reggae genres because I'm a huge nerd and like doing so. Compiling the list and pulling the data should be simple enough.
I'll be pulling metric data for every artist from first to third wave ska, roots reggae, but what bands should I consider that I haven't thought of?
As far as 'related genres' go, I'm thinking artists that wouldn't classify themselves as ska or reggae but are influenced by it: The Police, No Doubt (their hits), Smashmouth, Lily Allen, The Streets, Ace of Base
I'll post the results once it's all done.
Any of those screw you, I don't need you songs?? Gotta make a Playlist to get through the work day.
Here's everything new we caught this week. And “we” includes you! So if you landed on something that isn't listed; please post and let us know! Stuff tends to trickle in during the day too, so if you see this early: check back in to see what else has been added.

I just listened to two of my favorites in a row, which made me want to share them. They're both Swedish, one from 1999 and the other one from 2023. Enjoy them and please post your favorite ska songs about making love. :-)

I had an opportunity to fly out to LA and interview Jesse Michaels in person. It was a bucket list item I got to check off, and I am incredibly grateful and humbled by the experience. It is uploaded to my YT channel (The Punk Rock Review) and I linked it below. I just wanted to share it here, as I thought it may be appreciated.
DISCLAIMER: I already wish I had a second chance at this interview bc there are things I'd like to change, so I'll probably agree with your complaints. I do not claim to be an authority on punk or have any particular degree of knowledge. I just love it and it has been in my life since 1994. I am still learning, almost daily. I hope some of you enjoy the channel and interview.
Recently I have NOT been doing that good lol. I've been listening to a ton of sad ska but I figured maybe a change would be good. Surround myself with more positivity y'know? Thanks :)
