Hi I’m looking to do pen pals with American soldier (from any branch) over sea- I’m not using this as a hook up I do have a boyfriend. But my father is retired Airforce and I kinda miss writing him I dnt mind talk about anything (well nothing related to cheating) but please note I’m not the best at spelling and my grammar is a bit off.... I’m sorry
If anyone knows someone that served in ww2 that would like a penpal let me know please. I would love to get in contact with someone who served to give company and benefit from the knowledge they have to give. Thank you
My brother is over seas and I'm sending him a care package for Xmas. I need help from those that may have served over seas in a desert environment that would be a solid item. thank you in advance.
Hello to the person who’ve come across this! My name is Chloe but I go by Ashanti. My boyfriend is in Navy training, in Chicago right now. He’s been there for 4 weeks, he has been sending me letters(to my grand parents address) so his letters goes there. I’ve been using this Sandboxx app that was requested from him to send my letters to him on. I sent him 2 letters so far but I feel like he hasn’t gotten one AT ALL I sent them from my address so if he did get one of the two letters I’ve sent so far he would’ve gotten my address. I’ve sent him a letter on 14/10 from the Sandboxx app and it said that it was delivered to him every letter I get from him I can tell that it’s days or weeks old. I put my number into one of the letters in hope that he’ll call that’ll let me know that he got my letters. Can anyone give me any kind of advice, I’m a very emotional wreck right now I one get his letters but he’s not getting mine. He’s been telling me that he needs to hear from me because he’s feeling discouraged, and I don’t want him to think that I’m not writing him because I have:((((
Hello!
Been a few years since I did this. Would love an active service member to write and send care packages to. I enjoy discussion across a broad range of topics.
Thank you!
Im looking to write to a soldier! Female or Male. I send out care packages to random platoons over seas filled with goodies that you would miss from home! Im looking to make some friends while sending my love and hopefulness to come home! My father is 25 years Army and 4 Years Marines now retired! Looking to just chat!
I'm going to be writing a letter that will be included in a care package to someone who is currently deployed. I'm looking for advice on what to say and include in this letter.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm a 25 year old female from NYC looking for a deployed penpal, to connect with and see if I can send care packages and such. Let me know if you're interested and send me a PM. :)
Anyone wanting a pen pal, a friend in need?
Hey all, I'm just a college girl in New York with the itch to put some packages together. Let me know if you are in the US Military and want one! You can tell me what you want in it or be surprised. Comment or pm or whatever and I'll answer you :)
Hi folks, I'm not sure how active the subreddit is – but I am hoping to send out a Care Package or Letter to a deployed redditor.
A little about me: I'm 28 years old, currently living in Tennessee (Southeastern USA). I’m relatively new to Reddit (stumbled onto it through redditgifts). I love snail mail – so this sub seemed like a perfect place to meet some like-minded folks. I have no preference on pals – you can be from anywhere, any gender, any age.
Professionally, I work in the arts... Personally - my interests are a little all over the place but I guess can be summed up with: painting, drawing, photography, calligraphy, reading (fantasy and historical fiction), archery (w/ a takedown recurve - targets only, I don't hunt animals), gardening, journaling, Netflix and playing Skyrim (Xbox household). My boyfriend and I have two dogs (a beagle and a scruffy mutt) and a ferret. I like cooking and baking, and drinking (alcoholic beverages, coffee, tea - I love them all).
I like: fairytales (both Grimm & Disney varieties), myth, folklore, fantasy, woodland, forests, history, animals, LOTR, Harry Potter, historical fiction, Neil Gaiman, classic literature (think Pride & Prejudice - but also Count of Monte Cristo).
Are you needing a little happy mail, or just a note from home? Or do you have buddy that could use a pick-me-up? Please PM me, and let me know :)
Hi, I'm Karla (24/F).
I'm relatively new to the US (2 years) and just found out about this whole pen pal culture, thought I'd give it a try and if I get to make a soldier's day a little better then that's two birds killed with one stone, if you're interested send me a PM.
Hi there, I'm a 25 year old female looking for a pen pal. If there are any military personnel that would like a pen pal, or are in need of some support, please feel free to ask me for my email address.
Serious people only.
I'm just sorta lonely, often, b/c I'm a homebody. I'm not in the armed forces, but was raised by a military man and I have mad respect for it and those that are or were in.
I'd like a long distance penpal I can send letters, cards, love of encouraging words or more (when I can afford postage!, lol,) to. Someone that needs it. Male or female.
I'm a 30-somethings female in GA, USA, just looking for a friend.
Thanks all.
Marine currently deployed to Bahrain looking for a female to chat with and what not while im on deployment. Not necesarrily looking for romance but wouldnt be opposed :)
Looking for someone who doesn’t mind if my letters are typed, because my hand writing is atrocious.
I’m totally a chatter box and can honestly find anything to talk about. Also if you just want to receive random letters from me, and you don’t have the time/energy/ability to write back, I will be 100% happy to send you things without a response needed.
Just give me a heads up about if you want letters, care packages, or both. Please feel free to let me know what you want in a care package.
I know international shipping takes a long time, even longer for military addresses. So if you've just been deployed and are looking at a long time away, I'm more than happy to send little reminders from home. No limits on location, it just has to be an official US military address. Man, woman, old young, military dog included, etc...doesn't matter. Will send to any soldier in any branch. No letter writing or reciprocation required, just enjoy the box of smiles!
21/F I'm looking for a penpal. I'm a good listener and would like to make new friends. ♡
So like the title says I'm looking to be friends with a guy in the Armed Forces. I checked out a bunch if websites about this but they all seemed complicated. So I thought I try good old trusty reddit. I write you a letter you write me one. I'll send you some stuff you can't get where ever your deployed. It's the most OG way of shooting the shit. Not looking for anything romantic. (I say that because apparently that's a common thing.) So if a bit of snail mail sounds cool to you hit me up.
W've been in country for a couple months, and we are a group of people that loves our coffee and snack foods. last round of cookies (about three boxes) were devoured in two days flat. other than that we thrive on snacks, coffee and water bottle packets! we would be more than happy to send photos and thanks in return!
Hello!

I have 2 shoeboxes for anyone that wants them. I'm hoping to find people that are part of the EFFMS thingy as I'm super broke right now, sorry everyone else :(
irst of all, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to ask this question here but I figured it's be the best place to ask. If this is against the rules, I'd like you to tell me where I can ask this and ignore this post.
So I have a friend I met when I did an Exchange year in the US (I'm from Germany). She is in the USMC and currently deployed to Norway (near Trondheim).
She told me she was quite sad this Valentine's because nobody thought of her. So I decided to send her something small (chocolate or something) to cheer her up. Thing is that I do not know how to go about this. Is it even allowed to send parcels to a marine base, from a foreign country nonetheless? Also, I don't exactly know where she's stationed besides that it is near Trondheim. How would I label it? How do I make sure it gets to her?
Thank you all in advance and if this is against the rules for this sub I apologize and ask that you just ignore and/or delete this.
