Welcome to Nyxhaven, a dark city where the undead rule from the shadows, bound by ancient laws known as The Vampire Scriptures. Behind its vibrant nightlife and alluring mysteries, Nyxhaven is a world of indulgence, secrecy, and danger, where vampires carefully balance their power while concealing their existence from the mortal world.

Lore Overview: In Nyxhaven, vampires exist unseen by humans, guided by The Vampire Scriptures that enforce strict secrecy. These laws dictate that humans can only learn of the undead when their death is imminent. Vampires here do not breathe, their hearts do not beat, and they possess no warmth. They have mastered illusions to pass as human and interact in plain sight, their true nature remaining hidden.

Some vampires are born of human mothers, but these cursed children suffer from the Curse of Humanity. This curse manifests in vulnerabilities such as aversion to sunlight, lack of reflection, and a need to consume blood to survive. Only their vampire parent can break the curse, releasing the hybrid from their painful dual existence and fully embracing their vampiric nature.

Setting: Nyxhaven thrives in the night, its dark alleys and lavish establishments providing a perfect backdrop for vampire life. Here, influential figures mingle with the unaware, and secrets are currency. The city’s most prominent locations reveal both its hedonistic allure and its deadly dangers.

Key Locations:

• Club Bitter Blood: A high-end nightclub owned by the infamous vampire Alpha Ashriel, Club Bitter Blood serves as a decadent playground for the powerful and their loyal followers. It’s a hotspot for intrigue, indulgence, and occasional bloodletting, where humans are drawn to the thrill and vampires can hunt behind a thin veil of glamour.
• Cafe Lace Moon: A cozy café run by Fifi, an uptight omega vampire with midnight blue hair and a knack for making delicious blood-infused pastries even with his sour attitude. The café’s soft lighting and delicate lace décor provide a relaxed atmosphere where vampires can take a break from their scheming and humans can unknowingly rub shoulders with predators.
• The Diner of Eternal Nights: An old-school diner owned by Bubbles and Still, the fifth oldest vampire in Nyxhaven, affectionately called "Grandpápá Still" by the city’s vampire population. The diner is not neutral ground; it’s a sanctuary for vampires only, where hunters are strictly forbidden. Known for its retro charm, the diner is a hub of gossip and information, thanks to Still’s vast knowledge and connections. If you want to learn the city’s darkest secrets, you speak to Grandpápá Still, but beware, he doesn’t give away information for free.
• HOLY HOLY HOLY! Headquarters: A well-guarded location serving as the hidden base of Nyxhaven’s dedicated vampire hunters. They operate covertly, equipped with ancient relics and forbidden knowledge in their mission to cleanse the city of its undead.

Playable Characters:

1. Vampires: Players can embody the role of a powerful Alpha, a cunning Omega, or an ancient vampire like Still, navigating the social intricacies of vampire life. Explore dominance, forbidden relationships, and the allure of secrets as you uphold or challenge the rules of The Scriptures. All vampires in the country of Walkachia are male, but there is a country of all female vampires called Freya across the sea

2. Humans: Mortals can be clueless partygoers, vampire hunters from HOLY HOLY HOLY!, or human familiars serving their vampire masters. They can work to uncover secrets, form alliances, or face the inevitable truth of Nyxhaven.

3. Cursed Children: Vampires born of human mothers who struggle with their afflictions, needing their vampire parent to free them from the Curse of Humanity. They must navigate their in-between existence until they find their place in the world or succumb to the curse.

4. Werewolves: They don't come out much and a lot about them is unknown, but they populate the outskirts of Nyxhaven, within the wilds of the province of Noctis, the forests of the country of Wallachia itself.

5. Mutants: Mutants, some lab created some mutated human exposed to dark magic, they are fragile bodied and weaker than even humans.

6. Witches: Witches are divided between the females who help the human women and men killed by the bloody act of vampire childbirth, and the males who make deals with and work alongside vampires against their sisters.

7. Eidolions; Turned vampires, also known as Eidolons, are those who have been transformed from humans into vampires. Those abandoned by their makers are generally viewed as inferior to Spectri which is what born vampires call themselves

Roleplay Themes & Opportunities:

• Seduction & Power: Vampires wield their charm to dominate or seduce others, blurring the lines between predator and partner. Characters must balance their desires with the need to protect their secrets.

Hello! A few days ago my friend and I decided to create a discord roleplay server that is based on supernaturals and a detective agency hunting them. This is all for OCs, as it's centered in completely made-up universe. I'd like to think that we've been able to come up with something for everyone.

If you're someone who isn't really into mythology and cryptids, that's totally okay ! we've got a basic list of the most common supernaturals in our world that you can choose from. On the other hand, if you are someone who's very into mythology and cryptids, we have yet to deny a supernatural. The only real rule is that they have to be balanced. The power system is explained further in depth in the server, though.

Essentially you can choose to play a supernatural or a human, and you can also choose to play either a radical (a dangerous and criminal supernatural), a S.I.T.H. agent (supernatural investigation, tracking, and hunting), or neither! it's up to you what path you want to take. We're intending for this roleplay to be very character-driven with people able to come up with the arcs and use the characters they want to.

We have a plan to create a seasonal sort of thing with it (season 1, season 2, etc), and we have a plot in the works but haven't started it quite yet to allow people to get settled into the world-building and their characters. Join S.I.T.H., and make your way up the ladder through promotions. It's up to you what you will do in the organization. Will you capture supernaturals? Will you act as a double agent?

Join the radicals, and cause issues for the authorities. Fight back against those who tried to unfairly mark you as a monster.

Or, you can choose to join neither, instead staying on the fence or trying your best to negotiate peace between the two groups.

Created in the year of 524, It was made by the country of Wei-Xu, and started off as a normal college for magical things at first, but when the 1st demon lord rose, they quickly became a center for new mages to train and learn to fight against the demon horde. We are searching for some temporary writers, or Feature Writers, to join an ongoing literate fantasy roleplay as Pálien side characters. Lapping waves, birds calling, a gentle sun glow; nothing could possibly be more peaceful than life on the Cove, well that is when the two crews that shared the beach don’t have bad blood between them both. The Eclipse and The Ballast

The Ballast

The Ballast is a fierce ship with an even fiercer crew, Captained by Lucian Kadhaba, the crew does what they need to survive and what benefits them- whatever means necessary. They live under strict rules and guidelines by their captain but they’re not without reason, with these strict ways of living the ship is always tidy and the crew is in a good condition. Chores are shared throughout the crew, no one is allowed to be dead weight, everyone must carry themselves and prove their worth. Despite the strictness of the ship they’re still always something fun going on. Loud boisterous activities, whether that's drinks and a shanty or heavy gambling, something is always happening. At ports the crew moves confidently, always moving in at least pairs so they can keep eachother safe at all times, while encouraged to not start anything their captain does hold firm that as long as someone else deals the first blow his crew is allowed to finish the fight. On the Cove the crew is allowed to do as they please as long as no backlash comes to the captain and no one ruins the land.

The Eclipse

The Eclipse is a strong yet agile ship known for its crew's kind hearts, Captained by Ciaran Brooks, the crew strives to do what they think is good and will benefit their world- by whatever means. They live by what's true, just, and fair. The crew shares all chores alike, not forced to do them but they do them anyway because it gives them purpose and makes everyones lives better when the ship is in nice condition. There’s almost always something fun going on atop the deck, whether it's a friendly game of cards or even light gambling. At ports the Eclipses have learned to trend with a light foot, leaving little notice of their presence since an outlaw- no matter how kind- is still an outlaw and a rope is a cruel final friend. On the cove the Eclipses are more vocal and don’t tread as lightly, they tend to do their best to avoid the Ballast crew members. Their captain is pretty lax, letting them do as they please but strongly suggests against even getting close to the Ballast crew members, he's only truly firm about them not causing trouble that’ll have repercussions.

The Cove

Sailing through a large cave brings the ship out to what is called the cove, A large hidden island that both crews call home. The island is littered with things to do from hanging out in the tavern to training along with natural beauties like the river and the fruit grove. The Cove is a common space for both crews to relax, sharing the tavern and beach alike and everything in between. Both captains strongly suggest against fighting with each other but of course when two groups with opposing ideals live and share places with each other conflict is bound to break out, just be warned, depending on what higher-up or captain finds the fighting will determine the punishment for the guilty parties so be aware of who you’re fighting around if you decide to fight.

Seattle Washington, 2188.

It's raining again, but the forecast is saying this one's safe for humans and anyone not worried about their jackets being stained. Not that you have a choice, you have bills to pay. City buses stopped running in your neighborhood after the *“event”*, and you're pretty sure the auto-cabs are still being held for ransom by the anti-corpo “hacktivists” that took out the Night Owl coffee house last week.

You walk by three ads for a new kind of synth-blood that you're sure your vegan vampire friends are going to be excited for, at least until the next time they go to the O+ club and get the real thing; those fads never last long. Off in the distance, Mt. Rainier is still casting that eerie glow across the sky; like an Aurora Borealis, but the sinister sort that lowers everyone’s property value on that side of town. You're curious if the rumors about what lurks in the fog up there are true, but your buddy in the Division won't say anything besides “it's confidential” and “I didn't enlist to retrieve bodies”. Like most lycans, he's been on edge since the whole thing started but can’t describe the unnerving feeling the sight gives him now.

Maybe it's because you don't live in the swankier neighborhoods in the north end of town (where they hide their dirty laundry better), but you're seeing a lot more gang signs tagged on walls here. Not the usual sort, these are ugly ones. The violent gangs that like to follow supers down alleys, the garbage that the Division can't seem to scrub from Seattle's underbelly or root out their corpo sponsors. It's only a matter of time before they start noticing who you hang out with at the local bar, too, and you don’t have enough saved up to move..

Seattle has always been bleak. Maybe it's time for a change? What can *you* change?

We're a mature group with mature themes, but not an ERP server. Our activity requirements are pretty relaxed (we're all adults, we all have lives to take care of), and we allow any literacy level that meshes with your scene partner as long as your character profile is thoughtful and fleshed out.
