what an unbelievable frustrating experience these comp drives are. Should not have to play 50+ games in 3 days to not even complete the drive.

The drive is clearly destroying matchmaking because of the massive influx of non-competitive players joining, stop queueing until it is done unless you want the title border yourself. For your own sanity and for the sanity of this sub

I've been playing overwatch since 2016, with multiple breaks, I came back like 6 months ago, every match in comp I get is like stomping the other team completely or get stomped yourself, even when looking in the leaderboard you can see an absurd deviation between your team and the other, whether you're on the stomping side or not.

The matchmaking was nowhere like this, I remember having actual balanced matches where the match doesn't end with one sided stomp, and enemy team or my team can actually put up a fight, now its all just very forced, when you start the match after a minute or two you can sort of feel the atmosphere of the match and how its going to go, you just know you're either going to lose or win and there's nothing you can do about it.

What went wrong? why is this not widely discussed?, I've seen some comments about how they try to force 50% but why is this so prevalent, is it really how it is? match results seem to predictable like you don't actually have influence anymore

How common is it to run into a game where someone is two people? The D.Va/Mauga on our team wasn't there for the start and after watching their outlines, they had to be the same person right? Replay code in images

Even though we lost, I saved the team multiple times and had the most healing output in this specific match. Yet, one of the dps tells me at the end that Lucio is not good on the defense. This is like the 3rd time I’ve heard this.

Can anyone explain why they say that?

I'm okay at the game honestly like I'm not gonna come here acting like I'm the best and that widow is just an automatic win. But in the hands of someone who knows what their doing (which in my games at least is like 80%of the widows i fight). G.G

Like I can't fathom how it's fair to fight a character u have to just pray doesn't see u . Like I do understand there are counterpicks. Genji is a pretty decent one Sombra is aight below genji to me at least Tracer has no vertically so to me she's as good. And I would like to think the beat of the bunch is hamster. But again in the hands of the right widow it's ABSOLUTELY POINTLESS . Especially if their team has the brains to protect their beloved killing machine.

Even if your genji wrecking ball and Sombra manage to kill that THING. The fact that u have co ordinate a SWAT level operation the fact that u have to fear simply the existence of a single character is INSANE. Like there is not a single character that demands as much respect and fear as her .

Me and my duo were have been playing the competitive drives but for some reason I have more points than her. I have 490 while she has 350. We’ve played almost the same amount of games together (I played 2 alone but both were losses). I was wondering if anyone knew why I have more than her.

We have the triangle of roles already, that being support, damage, and tank, but what about a 4th role, control? Think about it, what if a pharah is mucking up the back lines in the sky and you don’t have any way to stop them, a controller can stun them from the sky. Or what if a soldier or Moira sneaks past to weaken the back lines, a controller would be there to keep the flow linear. A good controller could increase victory.

Do you notice the difference in game? I have been using my Razer huntsman te which feels good but slightly to fast for everyday use so I was thinking about switching.

Other recommendations for keyboard switches that are similar or slightly slower than the Razer huntsman red optical switches?

I'm better than my team in almost every game so the enemies like to focus me down so I'm unable to play the game. What do I do to stop that? I can play seemingly any character but 1v5 is extremely one sided. I can play mei and stall and hope my team helps, I can play soldier to run or heal, I can play sombra to hide stealth as much as I can, still the same result.

Can anyone explain to me what does the roman numeral on the left means whenever they appear? I've seen some players have the number I & some have the II? what do they mean exactly like are they leveling them up after they're done so like it becomes a II or how do you get a II on your tag? I only have a I? I know it something small but I am curious as to why? Also I just finished my drives, pretty hectic experience haha, please let me know what does that number mean and how can I get a higher one if possible, I'm genuinely curious🙏🏻

I suppose Orisa, Sigma, Echo, Weaver, Zen, Moira, Kiriko, Mauga and Hammond fall under this category as well. Personally I’m excited to see a mythic bow for Hanzo or even Ram’s staff. But I wonder how the above mentioned would work, especially Doomfist.

I’ve gotten this error every time I’ve tried opening the game the past few days. I’ve tried scan and repair, deleted and reinstalling, and restarting my pc. Not sure what else to do

Ah, Overwatch 2, where the only thing more disappointing than the game itself is the way Blizzard keeps promising things they can’t deliver. PVE? Canceled. Yeah, remember when they hyped that up like it was going to be the next big thing? Now it’s about as real as the balance changes that were “coming soon.” But don’t worry, they’ve got skins to sell you, so that’s clearly what we needed all along.

And then there's the tanks. Oh, the tanks. Enter Mauga, a hero so overpowered even the game’s own code can’t figure out how to balance him. He's like a bulldozer with a fridge strapped to his back, just plowing through the team while everyone else tries to figure out why their healers can’t keep up with his 30,000 HP. Guess what? They can't, because Blizzard doesn’t balance around fun or skill—they balance around "who can we make the most money off of this season." Every patch feels like a Mauga buffet, where one-shotting DPS get a few tweaks, but tanks like him get to live in their own little broken paradise.

And let’s talk about balance. It’s like Blizzard only pays attention when there’s a new mythic skin in the shop. Oh, Widowmaker's on sale? Let’s buff her damage. Boom, now she can delete you from across the map while doing a TikTok dance. They patch a hero’s abilities like they’re trying to sell you something—buff the character with the new skin, and bam, it’s just like magic. Who needs actual game balance when you can just sell your way to "meta" dominance?

But, of course, the real kicker is how the community is still in denial. They’re out here pretending they “like” the game, but you know damn well they’ve been griping about it for hours on Reddit, only to hop back in because they’re grinding for the next event skin or whatever lame reward Blizzard is dangling in front of them like a carrot on a stick. “I swear, Overwatch 2 is getting better!” they say, right after getting steamrolled by a 5-stack of Mauga ultimates while their DPS is playing Widowmaker, again, with no results.

But at least you can buy a Mythic skin for your troubles! That's what the game has come to: a glorified skin collector's app with random hero balance changes to distract you from the fact that nobody likes this game anymore.

I know its at the end of the season, but since the drives are going on I'm sure alot of players who don't play ranked are, so i'm wondering what your placements ended you up at?

I haven't played ranked at all in OW2, i played a good amount back in season 4 in OW1 but have barely played since, but after my placements i ended at Plat 1!

6 or so games later and I'm at Diamond 4, I'm not sure if this is normal since all i do is play QP and having just picked the game up in October after 4 years of having not played.

What has been your experience so far, players that don't usually play ranked?

When i say get the best i mean when playing her, how do you absolutely annoying with her wall and everything to make the other team go into a mental breakdown?
