For those unfamiliar with the topic, a glossary of some terms used. First and foremost, Kim Jong Il was "Dear Leader." Kim Jong Un is "Grand Marshal/Supreme Leader." Get it right.
Expectations:
Keep it recent: Try to make sure the links are recent, reliable, and informative. That means no tabloids. We do not want to be spreaders of gossip or blogspam. Any source with a tag has been vetted as generally reliable. Please try to make sure your title submission is the suggested title but remove tags such as [Urgent] and [Lead]. Do not use an all-caps headline. Links over 2 weeks old will be removed.
Keep it civil: Attack ideas, not people. No accusing users of being shills without solid evidence of state or media-backed malfeasance. Flame wars are not allowed. Calling the mods nazis/communists/authoritarians, etc. will result in an instaban.
-No racism or sexism of any kind, including but not limited to: Antisemitism, antiziganism, islamophobia, homophobia, casteism, and xenophobia.
-No genocide or atrocity denial, including but not limited to: Holocaust (including pogroms), Holodomor, Armenian genocide, Circassian genocide, Cultural Revolution, Great Leap Forward, Native American genocide, Lost Generation, Cambodian genocide, Rwandan genocide, Jeju Massacre, Rape of Nanking, Unit 731, comfort women, and any other Japanese war crime. This also covers the ongoing conflicts with the Rohingya and Uyghurs.
-No COVID denial or antivax propaganda. Get vaccinated. Wear a mask. Report disinformation. We will be watching closely. If you have evidence of brigading from covid denial subs, please let us know so we can report to the admins.
Keep it serious: This topic is not a joke, therefore you should refrain from making them. Trolls, memes, novelty accounts, personal attacks, excessive profanity, GIFs, pop culture references, off-topic comments, puns, and jokes are not permitted. Take it to /r/bestkorea.
Source your claims: Please introduce reliable sourcing in your discussions, especially when discussing topics general audiences may be unfamiliar with. Extraordinary claims, whether good or bad, require extraordinary evidence. Blogspam is not a source.
