/r/NoIAP is a sub for great games without obnoxious or exploitive IAP/freemium monetization and for discussing what we as gamers want gaming to be. We all agree that devs need to make a living, but that they should do so ethically and without hurting the art. This is a list of text-based IF’s (Interactive Fiction) that I and another user from itch.io, xSai or Bladed-Barbwire on Discord, made on itch.io, and I thought I’d share this here with you guys in case anyone is interested. All the credit goes to xSai for coming up with the idea. Also, note that, neither I nor xSai own the rights to any of these IF's; we are just recommending them to people as we believe they deserve more recognition and people might actually end up enjoying them. The list was made on itch.io and so, unfortunately, will have to be accessed from there for anyone wanting to access them from here. The list also had to be split into separate parts as we ran out of characters to use. All the IF’s are completely text-based, a few using some visuals and/or images, but none of them are full Visual Novels. Almost all of the IF's are made in Twine, with a few being made in ChoiceScript, Ren'py, or some other engine. Most of the IF's are free-to-play, some are pay-to-play, and some are free until they're completed and/or a price is decided. Some of the IF's have extra DLC's or bonus side content on their itch.io page or on the author's patreon, which are either free-to-play or pay-to-play. Most of the IF's can be played in a browser (works best in the itch.io app, Chrome, Firefox and some other browsers. Not guaranteed to work in every browser) with some also having a download option, but there are some IF's that only have a download option and no browser one. Most of the IF's can be played on PC and mobile, but some are not compatible for mobile. A lot of the IF's are also unfinished WIP's (Work In Progress); some of them are already completed, close to completion, just started, or may have been discontinued. Some of the links of the IF's also don't work, stop working for a while before working again, or ask for a password to access; perhaps due to being discontinued, shut down for maintenance, or for some other reason. We will continue to keep updating the list as we find more IF’s. We also have a discord server, a subreddit, a tumblr blog, and a cohost page dedicated just for this. If you, or anyone else have any IF’s you want to recommend, feel free to share them on here, the three itch.io topics, the discord server, the subreddit, the tumblr blog, or the cohost page (They have to be text-based IF’s from itch.io and need to have at least some kind of interactivity. IF’s from other sites, Visual Novels, or some other type of game will not be accepted). Or if you just want to talk, or ask me for some suggestions on which IF's to try, then feel free to do that as well. Anyway, thank you for your time, and I hope you have a good day, folks. Cheers!

Ciaooo, che fate?
I am looking for a no in-app purchase / no cloud sync app that will let me use an iPad (or iPhone) like a deaf slate. So a talking person could talk and the text appears on screen for the deaf person to read. The app can't be a text editor or notes app that is focused on saving or syncing the document - the idea is that the text appears but is not saved anywhere.
Let me know if you know of anything like this. Thank you.

Our team consists of myself and my brother. We have spent 3 years bringing to light a project we have wanted to do since we were kids. I would also like to point out that we are completely against micro transactions. There is a "Black Market" in our game purely for unlocking cosmetics by playing the game and earning currency by doing so. We hope to see you in the arena!

Hello everyone !
Login Screen (more pics at the end of the post!)
I just discovered this subreddit from the iosgaming page,
I am a newbie game dev, aiming to release some player friendly mobile games where the only income would come from (non mandatory ads, just suggested once or twice, without breaking the gameplay flow) and skins. So that everyone can play, and compete, even if they spend 0$.
I had a big first project (a Pokemon inspired turn based 4v4 game) I put on break to chill and learn new stuff on a second project : Idle Beast Hunter, an incremental idle game with rebirth system and gear system (battle is auto, currently haven't added skills, but it is planned).
The game is in pixel art, and has some old school castlevania vibes, Assets used are from ansimuz, some from acolytes ai retouched with Aseprite, and some bosses from duelyst open source assets.
I am working (very) hard on it and expect a release by February !
If you want to check it out and play a test version on iOS TestFlight or android (I only have an apk for now since I still didn't don't have my play store dev account confirmed by google) : https://mksidev.itch.io/idle-beast-hunter
I also post on my discord on a daily basis about my progress, full transparency :D your dev isn't slacking ! Fixing bugs live and taking feedback into account every time :)
Currently working on a cave to explore by sending a miner dig deep in the underground !
Have a good Sunday !

I managed to find a bunch of strings in the games files, I've tested a few of these and they work as promo codes in the menu. I haven't tried them all but I imagine they all will work since they were the only 6 digit strings.

How is native ads relevant to this sub-reddit : An alternative for game monetization to IAP is in-game advertising. Even in in-game advertising, user experience is often disturbed. Recent ideas of new generation ad formats like rewarded video ads and native ads have resolved these issues.

Hi everyone! We're a team of three university students. We just released Adrestia, a 1v1 battle game that we built over the past few months. We had several goals in mind with our game:
Our grade depends on our number of users; help us pass by trying it out! You can get it on the Android app store. There's also a Linux version available on our website -- we're working hard to get it working on other platforms too.
