I'm a 21 yr old guy looking for friends, it's been hard to find friends after graduation cause seems like everyone I knew moved and or doesn't want to talk to me. Most people I meet either are very young or way older than me and have kids. Just want some people to do stupid and or fun stuff with ya know?
I like old retro video games and minecraft stuff.
What would be a great place to find people my age?
(This is just a silly little vent session to the void that some may be able to relate to, I’m not really getting my panties in a knot over this lol)
I know we haven’t had a lot of roundabouts for very long (only like 6 years or so) but like… cmon. There’s no stop sign anywhere near them, so why is it that 70% of the time, people decide to come to A FULL STOP before entering a feckin roundabout when there’s no one else to yield to?!?!
I’m looking to join the navy, the rate I’m looking at requires a first class swim qualification.
If at all possible, I’d like someone who’s been in the military but I’ll take what I can get at this point.
I don’t have access to a private pool. Does the gym in Ashley Park have a pool/swimming instructors?
Hey y'all, in about a month, I'll be moving down from Athens. My current apartment complex pays for all of my utilities through the rent. Are there any complexes that do that or something similar in the area? My budget is around $1300 per month.
Looking for shops in the area that sell 3chi carts, not just dispos :)
Looking at alot of houses out in newnan anyone have any thoughts on what it's like? Is it safe? Is it a fun place to live? Do yall love it/hate it? Any and all thoughts would be helpful
Does anyone live in the Winthrop apartments can tell me what it's like living there?
Hi.
I broke a chair. The leg of a dining room chair split along the grain.
While I could fix it myself, I’d rather give the responsibility to someone else. Anybody have a recommendation for a local furniture repair shop or a really good hobbyist?
Appreciate it.
Can someone teach me to drive stick? I’m willing to pay for your time, shouldn’t take long but I just need to essentially learn the basics as I want to buy a manual car but have no one to teach me.
Hey, 30 year old here looking to do some rec volleyball. Anyone got leagues or just groups in newnan who meet and play? I'm not bad, but I'm not good either.
Thanks!
I just came back from there (I think they opened around the first week of April from what I saw on their Instagram page) but anyways, I know what all the reviews are talking about!! it is SOO good 👏🏽 I had the butterbeer (root beer with buttercream & vanilla) and a small popcorn 🍿 (they don’t have cookies yet when I asked but I really want to try those) anyways, just putting it out there ✨ they are located where checkers used to be near big lots
i wanna get dark tints on all doors and maybe lightly on the windshield and rear window. how anal are the police about it around here in anyones experience?
I'm here to contribute to the weekly, I'm moving to newnan post. I need a great realtor that is willing to work with a relocation! We are moving from out of state and I feel like there is so many generic real estate agent options, I don't even know where to start.
I feel like shakin some hips - where can I go besides the Alamo? Open to ptc or Fayetteville too… Thanks in advance yall
Hello!
I'm moving out of the Columbus area in the Summer, looking to move closer to Atlanta while still being within range of work.
I've been looking at some properties in the eastern part of the city which are affordable. I was wondering what things are like in terms of safety in that part of town or if it's best to look deeper downtown or skip Newnan all together.
I'm a 20s male living by myself, so family is not a consideration.
Any feedback would be appreciated 🙂
Why the FUCK is my State Farm insurance SO FUCKING HIGH?!? 😡
Hey there just thought I would throw this out there but I am 52 single guy living in newnan and looking for some new friends. That's not code word or anything lol. I work up in atlanta so I commute daily so never have meet many people here. I am a geek into horror movies, video games and cosplay and crafting.
Hi, I’m 24 y/o online college student and am looking for either a room or roommate. Very laid back and always working so I’ll never be home, my current commute to work is an hour
Anyone know of any basketball leagues here in Newnan? Preferably 30 and up?
Looking for a good comedian to come perform at a 75th birthday party in June. It’s hard to get someone to travel here! We will pay and feed! We tried calling comedy clubs last year, but it was unsuccessful. Any ideas?
I’m moving to Newnan at the end of the month and we already have our truck but was wondering if anyone has any recs for workers to help unload our truck?
Hey everyone! I am a 23 year old girl, looking for some Christian friends, or non Christian friends. People who preferably do not do drugs lol. I feel like I have had the hardest time since becoming a Christian meeting new friends. I use to drink a lot and hang with the wrong people, so that led to some bad stuff. I turned my life around 4 years ago and want to meet some new friends! 💓 I talk a lot, I love people, I have a son, I am married, and I try to make the most of life! I have a huge heart and try to help people when I can! I do not push religion on people by any means. We are all on different walks in life and grow from them. My walk just happens to be with Jesus! 💓
I’m moving to the Newnan/peachtree city area for work soon, and currently have a dark tint (15% all windows, 70% windshield) on my car.
Has anyone had any issues with being pulled over specifically for tinted windows by Newnan PD? Obviously they can tack it on as an additional charge if you get pulled over otherwise, but does Newnan PD target tint specifically?
I know that the Georgia state laws prohibit less than 32% tint on any windows and any tint on the windshield.
Thanks!
Hey friends,
So, as I'm sure y'all have noticed, this sub has been pretty dead. I'd like to spruce things up a bit, but would love to hear ideas from everyone. I added user flairs, as well as several post flairs. If you would like to see others added, let me know here.
We can also add other things like a Community Chat Channel, Scheduled posts etc.
I'd love to hear everyone's ideas!
Hi everybody! I'm originally from Ola, GA and lived there when McDonough was still a small town, we moved away for various reasons and to various places and now I've found myself in a small town in North Dakota, but I want to go home. Here's my dilemma... my fiance and I are looking to get out of North Dakota, but she absolutely hates Atlanta for the traffic, and I get it, I wouldn't move back to the southeast corridor if you paid me a million bucks a year, but I've heard that the traffic and congestion isn't nearly as bad down the southwest corridor in places like Newnan, Fayetteville, and Peachtree City. So my question for y'all is... how's the traffic? How do y'all feel about it and is it really that much better than McDonough?
Why are there a lot of police next to the interstate?
Hi everyone,
A close friend of mine is considering buying a new construction home in the Newnan area (primarily because of the square footage you get for the money). She has lived in the Cobb area for 10+ years and likes the overall north Atlanta experience (Cobb, Sandy Springs, Gwinnett).
Along with Newnan, she is also strongly considering moving to the general Gwinnett county area (Lawrenceville, Dacula, possibly Loganville, etc.)
She likes the energy of Gwinnett and the growth & newness in some areas. With regard to shopping and restaurants, she likes the general vibe of Gwinnett and Sandy Springs. She also likes the racial diversity, as Gwinnett seems to have a good mix of white, black, and Asian/Indian residents.
Will the experience of living in the Newnan area be the same as Gwinnett County or will it be very different? She has a home budget of around $550k - $600k. It seems that in Newnan, you get a little more square footage for your money, which is appealing. (The new home prices in Gwinnett county seem a little higher.) Overall, she's just wondering if there is a big difference in Newnan area vs. the Gwinnett area.
Thanks in advance for your input.
