Hello! ! I recorded vocals for the first time over a beat I found on YouTube and wanted some input on ways to improve the vocals mixing. etc. Any feedback is appreciated :)
could you give me feedback on how to extend it without it sounding the same
Want to know If I sound good and where can I improve in mixing the song and vocals (This is my first song)
⚠️TW: suicidal ideation/substance abuse⚠️
So, I wrote this song a few years ago and until now I have NEVER had the guts to share it publicly,
The recording is a VERY rough draft and the backing track is as bare-bones as it gets, so it's basically just a concept piece at the moment.
That said, I am not very confident in my abilities as a writer and would love for someone to listen and just tell me if it has any potential to be worth anyone's time??
It's certainly not that great in its current state, but I'm kinda trying to figure out if I should abandon it altogether or try to develop it into something more.
I’d love some feedback on any aspect of the song. Especially the vocals as this is my first release as a singer!

I took a 4 year break from music due to depression and incrementally wrote a record, which I just released today. I played my first show back in october 2023 and then gradually recorded these songs.
while I didn't release this one as a single formally, I consider it to be sort of the 'centerpiece' of this EP and would be interested to see what people think of it, mostly in terms of production and instrumentation. lyrically, I am very confident that it is what I wanted it to be and I don't think anything could change my perspective on that. but I wanted to experiment with certain musical ideas, like an infinitely sustained note which is perpetually in the background and using the low end of a piano instead of a bass guitar.

It's a bit all over the place, but any input is greatly appreciated. Also, if there are any tutorials or places I can learn, please share as well. Thank you!

Song inspired by being with someone who suffers from a personality disorder
Not sure if the genre is actually VGM, but I was heavily inspired by music from the nier series, there’s piano strings choir and all that.
