Hi everyone!! As far as I know, it's not worth buying high-quality studio monitors if my room isn't acoustically treated. So I wanted to ask if anyone knows of some headphones that provide a realistic sound for mixing and mastering.

So all the plugins i have open are really taking a toll on my thinkpad lol. So far not much problems with audio dropouts during playback but when I had an idea I wanted to record on my guitar the latency was a staggering 83ms lol. I tried muting every other track to just record it to the metronome but the latency was still there... so how do you deactivate the plugins? Thanks in advance!

I have a pretty good understanding of what negative harmony is, but not so much how to actually do it... I know it involves the circle of fifths and flipping across the root note or something, but how exactly can you do that in FL specifically? Is there more than one way of doing negative harmony? I've looked up a few explanations of how to do it, and they all seem slightly different.

My style is heavily inspired by artists like Juice WRLD and Lil Peep, so it's more emotional, melodic rap and hip-hop with a dark edge. I have a clear idea of ​​my texts, but am open to creative suggestions and collaboration.

So I thought why wouldn’t I give it a shot and ask if anyone of you guys have the same problem and maybe a solution?

Any other VST Plugin works and I already tried reinstalling Flacon.

I’ve been trying to use vsts but can’t find anything close to the sounds in his music or in similar r&b music. I just want to know how do people find these exact sounds that give off these exact feelings?

fl as a whole sounds muffled,low quality and not bright/clear for some reason

vsts and samples sound bad once i put them in fl before i use any plugins or anything

had the same problem when i used other peoples beats

beats also sound even worse when exported after listening on multiple devices so it dont got anything to do with how im listening

looked different totorials, they all press some kind of short cut's, not explaining basics.

How to press play in harmor and harmless?

Is there some reason stock plugins don't have midi in/out options in the wrapper?

So i just tried taking a video of my beat through my computer with nvidia capture or shadow play whatever its called… and there was no audio in it. im assuming its because im using my focusrite as an audio output but i dont have the option in the nvidia app to switch it over to this. anybody have any alternatives to this or solutions?

So, I bought FL Studio about four months ago, but due to college, I haven’t had much time to learn. I know some basic music theory, but I’m really new to this world. So I've been using FL Studio 2024 for the past week or so and slowly getting accustomed to all the the layout and how things work but Im still struggling with my horizontal zoom in / out shortcut ( Control + MOUSE WHEEL UP / DOWN zoom) I believe it's still the same for this edition FL as it was with previous editions

Its not as if it doesn't work because it does but then at times it just doesnt work at all totally killing my work-flow and ease of use especially when chopping samples in the playlist, I'd say its inconsistent. In the playlist for example it seems to zoom perfectly fine when I have my cursor near the top next to the playlist time markers / grid and I'll have no issues but when I try to zoom in or zoom out near samples I was currently working with it just totally stops working. Same also happens the piano roll too its almost as if it wont zoom in from certain areas of the focused window and I've never had that issue on my previously owned FLs (FL 8, 10, 11, 12) if you guys have any help I'd appreciate it greatly.

I set up using my regular typing keyboard as the controller for the digital instruments built into Fl . I can hear the notes when I'm typing however when I try to record the inputs i hear the playback while I think I'm recording. But when I try to see what I played its blank. The only way to get notes to stick is to click those little buttons next to the 808 drums etc. I looked at several videos and none of them answered this exact problem. I'm not sure what I'm doing incorrectly. What I wanted to do was play the beat while listening to a song to get used to moving notes around etc but I cant seem to get any notes to record.

Wanted to export some of my fav beats to my phone, and the easiest way I’ve done is email where I just drag the file over to an email and send it to myself. Sometimes it doesn’t work but I figured maybe the project is too big or it’s a glitch. Kind of inconsistent to me. Today I tried doing that and I spent like 10 minutes gathering the best work I’ve got and sent it to myself, only for it to save as audio-less flp files. I don’t understand what happened, or what to do better. Help?

Is it possible to change portamento / mono / legato in Flex presets? Been bugging me for a while. Thanks in advance to any help. So many great presets but sometimes I with I could play more than one note at a time or vise versa.

I'm currently using Battery 4 for my drums and I'm wondering how I can mix each part (kick, snare, etc.) separately and with different effects if they're all coming from one source. I know this is possible, I just can't find proper instructions on how to do it.

Been making beats for about a year and a half consistently now on and off in the past.

Ever since I upgraded to 24.1.2 .. I'll reopen a project and my inputs will have that EXT not engaged/lit.. I noticed I had a setting under the audio tab that had the auto close option enabled. I was able to fix that but this ext thing is annoying even though it takes a second to fix. Anyone know how I can have it locked on.. so when I return to projects I don't have to go through that drop menu and select a stereo input then go back to my original mono input?

Hi everyone! I'm stucked with my beat. I want to sidechain kick, hi hats and the snare, BUT, the problem comes when I sidechain to the apposite track, I add the limiter, then go to "com" and select the kick, but what i hear is nothing.

So, i saw a video saying that i have to unlink the tracks from the master, I did it, I don't hear a thing. I asked chatgpt, it says that I do not have to unlink the tracks from the master, route them to it and sidechain to the other channel, but what I hear after adding the limiter is the kick coming from the master. I do not see the waves in the limiter screen and even if I move the threshold or ratio, nothing changes.

I even tried to use fruity balance and fruity peak instead but i still don't hear nor see the waves.

I've done and undone a few times the correct step to be sure, but it doesn't work.

Can anyone tell me why I can't see the waves? I use Fl Studio 21, do y'all think it's a bug or smth?
