These things are really helpful, if you find yourself mostly making everything in one pattern, try using instrument/audio tracks and global ghost notes instead - it might make things easier and more organized.
I am a newbie at music production but I have been playing guitar for 7 years and I've been wanting to make a prog metal album happen for quite some time now but I have no idea where to start. I was just wondering if anyone else has made a metal album on fl studio and if I could check them out on Spotify of something.
If you guys have any yt channels you could recommend let me know because I cannot find any metal + fl videos there.
So my FLKey 61 just came in the mail and it is a USB B to A cable and obviously the m1 only has two usb C connectors. What cable do I need to buy to be able to use this with FL Studio on my m1 and be able to use it to its fullest? Thank you so much!
can anyone smart tell me wtf the prob is?

I'm trying to produce, mix and master my own songs, just for hobby, but i'm seeking professional level results. This is a song i'm making, it's mixed but not mastered, i feel it is a little bit "empty" and the main vocals sound not quite there yet, but can't figure out exactly what are the problems. I want it to be a weird, alternative and kinda ethereal music. Any help or things that you think could be better would be greatly appreciated.
I lost an entire project because of this error. It keeps loading the entire project then stops at fruity wrapper. Any advice on what to do will help.
I’m a artist tired of searching YouTube for beats, any prods HMU
A family member said they wanted to gift one for christmas but didn't know where to look. Should I let them know it's not really possible without my account?
As said in the title, I’m super new to this, so be kind! Anyway, was playing around and for the life of me I cannot get the audio track to be in time with the metronome/ tempo of the track! Trust me, I have been checking everywhere to make sure the tempo of the track was set correctly on the project to match the audio file! I’ve even played aroudn to check if maybe the time signature was different, but i still can’t figure out what’s wrong ? I’ve tried “fit to tempo” I’ve tried stretching the audio when resizing, Unsure if anyone can help, not sure what is wrong here…?
Hi, how's it going? I'm having trouble recording stereo audio with my Arturia Minifreak synthesizer using an Audient ID14 MKII audio interface (connected via the instrument input) and a Tisino stereo cable with 1/4" connectors on both ends.
The issue arises when I set the audio input to stereo in FL Studio: only the left channel plays, even though I'm using a stereo cable. I understand that when recording vocals, the input should be set to mono, as vocals are typically recorded that way. However, in this case, I need to record in stereo because the synthesizer has built-in effects like flanger, chorus, delay, and reverb, which lose their harmonic richness if recorded in mono.
I’m using Windows, and I’ve already ensured that the input configuration is set to two channels (stereo), but the issue persists.
Could anyone help me figure out how to solve this? Thanks in advance!
Hello!
Back in my early 20s I used to produce a lot of stuff in FL Studio as one of my hobbies - it was mostly EDM / House.
After almost 10 years of break I finally feel the urge to produce again! But I'm certain that a lot of things have changed and because of that I have a few questions.
As per the official page of FL Studio it says that the free version can be only used for 21 days. Is that true? Is there no way to use FL Studio for free infinitely?
Back in the day I used Sylenth1 and Nexus plugins when creating EDM. I see that there is a Demo version for Sylenth so I can use that but Nexus is only paid. Are there are free plugins that are great for EDM production? If yes, which ones do you recommend?
Any recommendations for cheap but good headphones which are great for music production?
Thank you all for answers!
Is there a way to link multiple parameters from multiple plugins to one knob or slider that changes all of them that I can then automate. Preferably be able to change upper and lower bounds per parameter too.
Im new to music production, I know they are kicks, snears, hihats, etc.
But I don’t understand what are all the ingredients or elements.
I’ll be honest I relistened to all the best tracks I’ve made since I started production and I realized I don’t like any of them and wouldn’t personally listen to them if I hadn’t made them myself 😭 is it normal to make a bunch of trash you dont like in your first few months or am I just built stupid?
also I’m not trying to post this as some “make me feel better about being a newbie” type post I really just wanna see the range of time it takes the average producer to hit their stride and make music they enjoy
I have a channel that I am using in different patterns. I need to use different volumes for this channel in different patterns. Is there a way to do it without creating another channel?
Like just have the chord go for an extra bar or something. Is there any way to change one instance of a pattern without changing all of them?
Or create an automation for one instance of a pattern without changing all?
Or for every little change I need to clone the pattern first?
Ive just got fl studio and have learned how to navigate it and have a very basic understanding of how to operate the tools but when I search for videos to learn they all seem to go from very easy to complicated, no in-between. What are some suggestions for people I should learn from, preferably in the hip hop genre.
Basically I like the chorus that's in Acid, but I love the cleanliness of FL Studio and wanted to see if there was any way I could try to "recreate" the chorus, or if there already is a chorus similar to it.
im interested in all genres but wanted to play around more specifically in dubstep/future bass/trap
the "s" key has stopped soloing tracks on the mixer and I don't know why.
Now when I press it it plays some random sample/instrument I have in the project... it was working fine until I think I pressed something but I can't be sure.... does anybody know how I can return it to the previous behaviour? Did I imagine this functionality
All my projects and sampled sounds have dissapeared and I can't find them on my pc anymore. I'm new to FL so I don't know what could've caused this
I used to be able to hold alt and id be able to trim audio clips but now it just stretches the audio clip even if im holding it down. How do I fix this ?
Im getting this come up when ive downloaded FL studio onto my new PC which has windows 11 on ive disabled cloud saving and unchecked the fl studio cloud save when ive reinsalled the app.
The User data folder appears to be located in a location backed up by cloud storage.
This can lead to instability issues in FL Studio and is not recommended.
The User data folder is currently set to: C:\Users\vince\OneDrive\Documents\Image-Line\
i have messaged the company but they were no help
Hi I have been unable to use my audio interface to get my old Yamaha e223 keyboard to serve as midi controller and it also won’t successfully install drivers for the keyboard.
Wondering what midi keyboard controllers work plug in play for fruity loops 10 ?! Or if you know how to fix so my old keyboard will actually get recognized in FL studio 10. Thanks :)
