Hi all, just seeking some advice here.
I am getting married overseas but would love to have a celebration back home with Chinese traditions. We're very keen to have the usual gate crash and tea ceremony, but instead of having a dinner banquet, we thought of having a luncheon after instead for a number of reasons (no gap in the day, saves 2nd makeup/photographer session cost). We're not planning to have a lavish celebration as we have to account for two weddings. I toyed with the idea of pushing the whole day back to conclude with an evening celebration ie. gate crash + tea ceremony in the afternoon, but my mum was pretty freaked with the idea as it's very unusual.
I've not been to a wedding luncheon before thus looking for some advice on how guests feel about it? In my head, I always thought a big meal with alcohol/toasting/entertainment feels more like an evening event than an afternoon but keen to hear other perspectives.
Hullo. Can someone please tell me more about Arena Green? Iam considering renting there but I do not know if it is a safe area, if lifts break down, etc . Can someone please advise? I am an international student going to imu
Hi, I hope someone can help advise.
For context, this person A was in Malaysia for work things but had left early September. During her stay in Malaysia, she went and subscribe to the broadband plan from CelcomDigi and when she went back to her home country, she had just left it to be. Now she's messaging me (shes a my dads friend's daughter) and asking for help. I intended to go after my finals but Im worried she might incur more charges as time goes on.
If its very immediate I need to go tomorrow but Im wondering if I can hold it off going to CelcomDigi till Tuesday. Some pics for reference. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you so much :,)
Hi, I’m a guy who has never smoked (including vapes or cigarettes) and has never had a drink in my life—I’d say I’m pretty clean lah. The DJs at the club usually play RnB and Hip-Hop, which are my favorite genres. I really just want to go to vibe with the music, if you know what I mean. So, my question is, can I enter the club without needing to buy anything expensive like Jager or etc ? Since I don’t drink, would it be okay if I just ordered a Coke or another soft drink to get in?
Hi I am wondering where to look up specific places. On TikTok it’s always the same or people paid to make UGC. On google it’s too unorganized and outdated. Is there a place I can search on when I e.g., want to look up skin clinics, cafes, shopping places etc?
Hi
On 31.12 how does in KL get celebrated? My Parents are here with me at that point and in our Apartment Complex there is a nice viewing spot. Can we see Firework from there? Does we need to order Food before or can we order at the pint?
Thanks
There is like 2 waze user (i think?)come by the name anonymous and MALURI_GANGSTER. They wrote "OI NAIK MRT LA (Slurs)" on every traffic report around cheras area. It happened if not mistaken, week ago. Same thing happen also, in bukit jalil.
Around a year ago i saw the same post by user named faku111 i think, it was in loke yew. Same "naik MRT" guy. (Not sure if same person of this guy of today)
I already reported their accounts submitted a ticket. Aside from posting here idk what to do. I feel like i should viral it.
Edit: there is a bit of confusion. He wrote a slur after the word la. It was the b word. And something racist as well.
Edit 2: this few days look around cheras waze map. This "naik mrt" guy is everywhere spamming racist offensive comments. I didnt know it has been a year? Wanting to do something about it.
Hello fellow Malaysians. I I need some help deciding between a film camera and a CCD. I’m planning to buy a secondhand one on Carousell for the price below RM300. I love the look of film photos, but I realize the cost of film rolls can add up. Still, I’m open to considering it if it’s worth it! Would love any advice or tips you all might have, especially about the differences between film and CCD, and things like film roll costs and maintenance. Here are a few questions:
Film Camera vs CCD: For those with experience in both, what are the main differences in image quality, color, and overall vibe? Which do you prefer, and why?
Cost of Film Photography: I’m a bit worried about ongoing costs. Does anyone know where to find affordable film rolls, or how much I should budget for film and development? I live in Nilai, N9 and I visit KL and Shah Alam quite often.
Scanning Costs: If I want to scan(?) the film negative and make it digital, what costs should I expect? Are there any affordable services or DIY options?
Secondhand Buying Tips: Since I’m buying secondhand on Carousell, what should I look out for in terms of camera condition and functionality? Any red flags?
Film Camera Maintenance: Are there specific maintenance tips to keep a film camera in good shape? Any advice for a beginner?
General Advice for Beginners: For someone just stepping into film photography, what are some must-know tips or advice?
Also, if you guys think the good of CCD outweighs film cameras, just let me know. Thanks so much for any help you guys can offer!

Probably should have mentioned. I’m Malaysian. Born and competed all my high school education in Malaysia.
Got accepted into a very competitive overseas medical school and got a job overseas where I plan to migrate and settle down.
any millenial or gen z here who has grown up to dislike their family? like i know that it’s split between most of us, where some of us have grown up to be grateful for all that their parents have done for them, and the other half still deals with the emotional trauma that their family has caused them as it translates into their adult life. and yes, while i do sometimes think they have sacrificed certain things for me, i wonder why i have to take on than mindset and be a better person as an adult. like to what extent is it affecting my mental health as an adult? not sure if this makes sense but i guess it depends on how forgiving you are as an individual. it’s the countless family gatherings where they comment on how i dress, to my weight, and to talking badly about other family members.
it’s the little things like i know it’s easy to turn something into humour when we say yea i was hit as child and normalise by saying it’s asian culture so it’s normal. but looking back now, those things had a significant impact on my mental health and self esteem as an adult. what are y’alls thoughts or experiences?
Mine: need to find 6 ceramic cups with handle that can be microwaved
IKEA maybe. Lazada maybe. Two weeks d, still pending.
I am currently traveling in Malaysia and lost my precious wedding band. It’s a yellow gold Cartier love ring. This most likely happened either somewhere at Senai Airport or possibly the rest stop with a Baskin Robbins at Pagoh.
I had taken out the ring and kept it in my pocket at the Senai Airport while using the toilet. After that I’m not sure if I put it back on but if memory serves me correct I didn’t. I had put it in the same pocket as my wallet. I discovered it’s lost shortly after realizing my ring isn’t on my finger after leaving Pagoh Rest Stop. I returned back to the rest stop to check places where I could have dropped it but to no avail. I checked with some shopkeepers in the area I had visited too but nothing was found. I also thoroughly checked the car just in case it fell through the gaps.
My hunch is it’s lost somewhere at Senai Airport between the walk from the men’s toilet to the Pizza Hut or the Avis rental counter or (slim chance) the place where taxis drop passengers at the airport.
I have called up the Airport Lost and found and even returned back to the rest stop at Pagoh but I’ve had no luck. I’ve also checked with Avis but nothing from them.
I know I’m really pushing my luck but is there anything else I can do to even have a slim chance of recovering it? I lost it on 31st October. More than the monetary value it’s of hugely sentimental value and although my wife keeps consoling me saying it’s about the bond and not the ring, I can’t help but beat myself up.
No it’s not a tiger barb, which only lives in Indonesia
Hi. I was wondering if anyone knew where to buy mead (honey wine) around KL? I googled and yeah there's a few stores here and there, but the choices are limited. Would appreciate a larger selection if possible. Please and thank you
Bought an e-ticket all the way in May, for Matt Maltese concert at November 15th CAT 1 standing, but realized I couldn’t make it because I have something else to attend to that date 🥹 It’s in Zepp KL at 8.30 and is easily accessible by LRT. Bought it original price 258 ringgit, and i’m only selling it for 130.
It’s an E-Ticket which means the ticket is digital, if anyone is interested we can talk about payment and I would only have to give you the barcode where you’ll have it scanned before entering the concert.
Sorry if the title is a bit clickbait-y, but I didn't know what to write.
I'm not the kind who initiates things with guys as I find guys who take charge a lot more attractive.
He hasn't replied my last text in 3 weeks. But today, I'm in a good mood and feel spontaneous, so I initiated a text to check in with him.
I'm not expecting anything of course. If anything, I assume he's not interested. But! I just wanted to share with someone that I'm happy to be celebrating small wins in trying something outside my comfort zone.
To preface this, from my experience, most women I know don't initiate and most guys I know freak out or think it's a scam if a woman initiates.
Thank you for reading :)
Ive never flew internationally and has plans to do so next year. do i need to fill in my passport number when booking a flight or can i do it just when checking in?
Hi guys. Where can I find Chicken Rice Balls in KL? I would like them to taste remotely the same as the ones in Malacca but I am open. Any suggestions?
Hi guys. I'm Sarawakian recently living in KL. May I know where to find fresh porkies in KL with reasonable price? Sorry don't know where else to ask. Xiexieeeeee
I never knew my morning today will be start off so wild
To give some context, I own a cat hotel. Started the morning with the usual stuff, clean up rooms and whatnot. This father with two children comes in with a carrier so I thought to myself "Oh there's a walk-in, luckily there are rooms available". Yo guess what fellas?
I was shooketh at how these people just show up to a CAT HOTEL expecting it to be okay to put a civet. Now some people might say "why not just reject them?" and yea that was my first go-to but:
If that doesn't make matters worse, bro actually tried to bargain with me about room pricing because I told him we don't have half day room rates so he'll have to pay for a full night price. Like bro? I'M THE ONE HERE DOING YOU A FAVOUR
Idk man, I've seen a bunch of irresponsible owners already but this one takes the cake

Thank you in advance, may [insert any divine power of choice] bless you.

Hey everyone, does anyone know the quickest way to walk from LRT KLCC/Avenue K to Megan Avenue 2?
I’m trying to find the most efficient route as I will be walking for work everyday. Any tips or landmarks to look out for would be super helpful.
Thanks in advance!
