Call it Lloydminster's first public transit system or call it the solution to low tolerance of opening an emergency shelter in any neighborhood in Lloydminster. This is what happens when the community rallies against a solution that would have been a much more dignified response to extreme temperatures and the vulnerable population. Note as a tax payer that this one costs us locally nearly $100K whereas other levels of government whose responsibility it is to pay for these issues would have funded the one being provided by not-for-profits that was shut down by a community uprising. That only equates to .25% of taxes but the reserve will need to be replenished at some point. It's better than nothing and hopefully reduces the number of people freezing to death. But, it's unfortunate that it needs to come to this.
Jingle and mingle downtown on Thursday noon until 7. It will be cool (-18°C) and there will be warning stations🙂

I got 8 months experience as shop hand in an oil and gas industry. Looking to do something more. Any help would be appreciated.
Next meeting is this Saturday at Fiori cafe at 1pm. Anyone can come, just bring your own book, and maybe some ear plugs if you get distracted easily. Again this is not your regular book club that you have assigned reading, it is just a group of people who like books and want to meet some new friends and get out of the house.
Hey guys I recently moved to Lloydminster and was looking for a place for myself. Can anyone provide me some insights for this "Robinson Mews" apartment by Northview? Thank you!

Odd question, but how do folks who live outside of Lloyd recieve your online packages? Just curious what solutions people have!
We just moved to Wilton, and have found Purolator, Loomis, FedEx etc won't deliver because we're outside of their delivery route (which makes sense, even though we're just a few clicks past the Co-op.
When we've lived in small towns in BC, there have been shipping hubs, like gas stations or floral shops that you can register with, and send your packages to. Curious if there's anything like this in town!
I hear the big brown buildings near tasty j’s have bugs. Anything similar with eastgate manor? Thanks in advance
Hey everyone, looking for some recommendations for places I can take my dog for walks out of town. He’s afraid of strangers and so am I so walking in town isn’t fun for us and we’re getting bored of our usual spots. He’s good on leash or off leash, doesn’t go after cows or wildlife, and is a hardcore sprinter-of-circles. I refuse to take him to the dog park due to many reasons.
Thank you!

My boyfriend and I are finally able to buy a house and we have a decent sized list of ones we want to look at that are all out of town. And my boyfriend’s dad is helping us look at places but is it necessary to get a realtor? Please share the good, bad and the ugly if it’s necessary!
Got a pinched nerve and new to Lloyd, I tend to trust professionals basef on word of mouth. A lot of physios and acupuncturists can mess you up if they don't know what they're doing or they are new to the profession. Any recommendations would be highly appreciated!
