Since the Sask party has taken over, Saskatchewan has no poor farmers. But we have a ton of poor folk in the cities, and a worsening homeless problem. To save the tax burden on the city folk I propose that Moe and all of his farm buddies billet a homeless person for the winter, then we won't have to spend money on shelters.
Guess nurses will have to go on strike too just like teachers because Jeremy doesn’t care about them
Has any had an experience with AM to PM Landscaping?

I am wondering if anyone has transferred their funds to a LIRA from the pension plan. There is only a certain amount you can put in and the rest comes to you in a cask payout. What I want to know is how long did it take for the payout to be paid to you after requesting it? I'm wanting to be able to put that into an RRSP so want to make sure I can do that before the end of February. I will be requesting the transfer at the beginning of December.
Hey guys, I hope everyone is doing well. I'm an upcoming tattoo artist. I'm still very much a beginner (I started 2 months ago) but it didn't take long to see that I have a natural talent for it. I obviously still have so much to learn but with each and every piece I do I learn something new. This is an exciting new journey for me and I want to do it right. I'm also working right out of my dining room at the moment.
I essentially just YouTubed everything I know (sanitization, setup, safely disposing items, etc) but I want to know if there are any certificates/licenses that would be good to have (besides first aid, I'm still certified) Please let me know.
Thanks!
I plan on sending small gifts to farmers and land owners this fall. Some nice local coffee will be part of the gift. Should I do ground coffee or whole bean? Do farmers grind?
Is it pigs? Whatever it is, fuck me it’s unbearable.
I have some very conservative relatives who are suffering greatly from the current state of healthcare in Saskatchewan. Can someone explain to me how specifically the Sask Party has affected our health care?
They place the blame 100% on the Feds. Has the federal government had a hand in our declining level of healthcare?
Word is that some affiliate places have been told to stop using AIMS due to issues. Any word on who this is?
I am living in Regina since more than a decade and get asked from my friends and family in Asia to get them connections for wheat and pulse exporters. To be honest, they are usually quite ambiguous with their proposal so I don’t spend much time to explore the opportunities for them. But I was wondering if somebody can help me with some pointers on how to start. I am trying to get their specifc proposals and other requirements. In the meantime, I am researching about industry events, regulations and compliance. Any other insights will be much appreciated. Thank you
We can debate the degree to which regular rural citizens (many of whom are wealthy farmers) or big farming conglomerates should bear what percentage of the tax burden, but the last provincial election has made clear: the cities are just about done with subsidizing an outdated, declining, and aging (conservative) rural cohort whos clock is ticking while they bleed this province dry, thinking they are entitled to any service they want wherever they choose to live.
Thinking of things like this fucked up subsidization - to the tunes of tens of millions of dollars - of rural roads used by a few people a day, as well as the somehow ongoing (30 year later) 'we want our rural hospitals' bullshit that completely ignores agglomeration economics or economies of scale thinking.
This isn't an attack on rural Saskatchewan generally - though it is targeted at the old stock rural folk who refuse to be part of the solution and discussion on moving towards a new deal for rural/urban exchange in an increasingly urban Canada and world. And it isn't up for debate - go look at any demographic chart for any community in this province under 5000 people and it's only a matter of time before they go the way of the old rural rail lines. Either the Sask party strongholds start to play ball with the cities or, when the NDP break through in the next 2-4 years, there will be no goodwill left for the rural people who held the cities and the province hostage for as long as they did.
I am seeing lots on IG for provincial/community groups supporting the transgender community while their Prov Govt is introducing anti-trans legislation.
Am looking for any/all such support for trans folks and families and allies in Sask. I am scared shitless about what is to come for Sask and am my breaking point.
Not looking for debate, just help. Thanks.
Anyone been through the PD 2-day orientation at NIsku? What all does it entail? Are you sent to a site right after if you pass or do you go home and wait for a call?
Goal is a camp-type rig - how are their camps? What is something you wish you would have taken to camp your first time?
Hi, I'm a student and I found out that the family I live with has me paying 66% of the rent. I'm technically a sublet but I didn't sign anything and never met the landlord (don't know the number either). Dumb, I know but I was tight on time as I am from out of province and was offered a last minute opportunity in Sask.
I found a new place that is nicer and cheaper and met the landlord.
I'm just wondering if I have any legal obligations to tell the family/roommates, I feel very uncomfortable living with them for a number of reasons so I'm a bit scared to even give notice.
Hi, I’m looking for information if anybody has booked a flight with kiwi.com or ly.com I’m trying to find a flight that would bring me back from Palm Springs to Calgary or Palm Springs to Saskatoon for a reasonable price. All flights I look at are $800-$1000 which is pretty darn ridiculous. Any information you can provide me as greatly appreciated
In an effort to better understand the current rental market and skyrocketing rents, I am doing research on the large real estate rental companies in the province. Most of the companies are “open books” in regards to ownership and management structures and who benefits from the rental incomes.
ICR, however, has been a tough nut to crack. I have most of the current leadership structure mapped out and understand that the old owners still have a large influence on operations through their progenies.
Where I’m stuck is the level of ownership in ICR that the lawyers at Cuelenaere law firm have. Obviously Greg Kuse has a solid relationship with senior management at ICR and is the bulldog used by ICR to control renters and owners.
What I don’t have yet is whether or not the relationship between Cuelenaere and ICR is solely professional or if there is a financial benefit in the form of rents/property management fees/etc. that is gained by Cuelenaere through representation of ICR.
Any information is appreciated, but please keep away from rumour and heresy, I prefer verifiable information.
Not gonna lie... google map doesnt show much to do.
Ill be there next week, anything I should try to do in the evenings after work?
Hey People of Saskatchewan,
I'm trying to find out more about Saskatchewan's old Fire Tower's. There doesn't seem to be a lot of information on the history of these structures and the people who manned them online. So far I've been able to map all of the tower sites (except for the ones in PA National Park) and have visited a couple myself.
These fire towers were decommissioned in 2013 when the province moved to satellite and helicopter observation for fires. I personally think that these sites are an important part of Saskatchewans history and I feel that it's already mostly forgotten (as I can't find anything online).
That's where I need Reddit's help. If you know anything about these towers, the history of them, any old photos of the tower sites, all information is welcome. I want to collect stories and information that can be shared online for other curious minds to find and enjoy.
I'd also love to hear any stories/info about wildland fire fighting in the province as well. I think the two topics go hand in hand.
