Latin America is a place of drastic change, sometimes is a bit difficult to be up to date on everything.
This thread is a place to discuss about these events.

Hello everyone!
As you know, multiple languages are spoken in Latin America. In order to honour that, let me introduce you to the "No English Friday"! In this discussion thread, no English is allowed, so enjoy chatting in your language!
Olá queridos usuários do r/LatinAmerica!

▪️ Sobre las Zonas Económicas Especiales: "Es un aprendizaje gigantesco estar hermanados con las Zonas Económicas Especiales de mayor auge del mundo que están en China";

Hi guyssss! Am finally in a state where i can start my travel journey and decided to take my 1st solo travel in September 2024! Am 26F from usa so given my budget and time i choose to explore central & south American countries one by one for next few years! So as someone who never went solo and who has no spanish skills:( what are the safest and best countries that I could enjoy rather than being afraid of safety or survival. I don’t want to go costa rica, guatemala, mexico, argentina & chile for now i had them planned for next year! So am mostly interested in South America! I want to go on adventures in nature, meet like minded people, party and all! thanks in advance!

Hi! I saw an ad for a new Guatemalan version of a la llorona movie. It made me wonder why non-Latin Americans are so captivated with this specific spooky story (for lack of a better term). Personally, I find it to be a story warning people about the severity of postpartum depression and the need for community, but I digress!
What mystical/spooky/ghost-ish Latin American stories do you wish made it to the big screen?
I wanna hear it all Reddit—stories specific to your town/family’s town are encouraged. Thanks! :)
I'm writing my thesis on the impact (Latinx) superheroes have on the place branding of their respective nations and was hoping you would be willing to complete a survey for me. It takes roughly 3 minutes to complete and you'd be doing me a great service.

I was wondering if anybody, especially from Peru could help me with locating any written sources on this Asháninka tribe, its one of leaders Tasulinchi who took part of indigenous people uprising against settlers in Ucayali region in 1915?
Except of all Polish sources who made expedition there and one Spanish academia article based on Polish sources, I cannot find anywhere any information on that tribe or events there around 1915
Spanish source covering Polish expedition who met Tasulinchi https://www.academia.edu/42638042/Las_promesas_alentadoras_La_colonizaci%C3%B3n_polaca_en_la_Amazon%C3%ADa_peruana_1925_1935_ (there are free academia downloaders)
