Hello, Im from South Korean and I want to know about how to live in Cuba. I haven't planned to do it yet, but I want to know more specifically. I didn't have any information about Cuban law in Korean. So I don't know anything. Can I get citizenship or permanent residency in any way other than marrying a Cuban? If so, what should I do. Please tell me.
Hello all,
Thanks for taking the time to read my post.
I’m hoping to get some insight from some folks that have recently or are currently visiting Cuba from the United States.
I am planning a trip with a few guys to Cuba in April of 25. The purpose will be to explore, support the Cuban people, culture, a little bit of partying but we are pretty much washed up at this point with that anyway. Havana, pinar del rio, maybe Trinidad? Of course Veradero is an option too.
In my experience traveling around the world I almost never give much attention to some of the warnings I read online and I’ve had a lot of success in my travels.
This one has me wondering a little bit after reading some of the current events so I would like to hear from some people in Cuba. No offense but if you’re just going off of the news please refrain from commenting because I’ve read all the articles.
My questions are:
Is there a drastic difference in Cuba now from just a few months ago?
Can Americans rent cars?
Is the country fairly traversable at this point in time? Things like closed roads, closed city’s, roadblocks, checkpoints?
Are the blackouts still persistent?
What are the biggest challenges you faced traveling here? I understand there are snags.
You can point out the poverty, but honestly it’s not a reason I won’t go. I’ve seen real poverty. I understand it’s a reality in the world. and I’ll only be there to help the situation. Not hurt it.
Thank you very much for your time!
Please ignore the pro west shills they just want to hurt this heaven out of jealousy. To stop you coming and seeing it for yourself because we have the best of everything
Esto se los dejo aquí a los chivatones come candela, arrastrados e enchufados que todavía defienden a esa mierda de dictadura!
Mientras tus hijos y nietos sufren los de ellos en la gozadera!
To those who don´t know my stoy i was basically kicked out of my home by my muslim parents in havana for basically being ¨gay¨ I lived in the streets for a while and thanks to some donations i got a while back ago i was able to afford a rent and some food for a while, however things are not looking so good lately, I've been trying to find a job that allows to me sustain myself but to no luck so far and i've only been able to survive thanks to gigs that come and go. being independent in cuba on this times is crazy and i have been having trouble keeping it toghether. I don't know what else can i do i feel like i've tried everything i can on my own and my last resource to not fall back into homelessness and despair is by getting some help from you guys i appreciate all my friends here who have helped me before and got my back. also feel free to ask me any questions about the current situation in havana, cuba i'll gladly answer from the POV of a cuban chronically online person, thank you all
Buenas buenas,
Queria consultarles a los cubanos del sub que onda sobre el toque de la renga en la habana. Ha habido publicidad al respecto? Dicen que se va a llenar y ser masivo?

How can there be so much food in Venezuela & Cubans are starving?
I mean is the embargo? V does not have one & they are not an island that... but I've been in PR and the FOOD in Puerto Rico is amazing, pricy but there is.
So why??
I honestly believe cuba is a social experiment at this point.
Lets say there's a war and the people win. Let's say it's a Democarcy now and they're about to hold their 1st election. For those who left Cuban within the last 10 years. Would you go back? Why or why not?
Hello!
I am a traveller and I am planning to visit Cuba and stay for around 1 week-10 days!
Cuba has been a country I've been interested in my whole life, and I happen to be an hour flight away, so I decided to go and explore it for my self!
As cringey as that sounds, I do not consider myself a regular tourist. I’m not really into beaches, castles, or standard tourist activities. My goal is to meet people, have meaningful conversations, and learn about daily life in Cuba. I even learned Spanish for that purpose.
Now, I am aware of the current situation and challenges, and doing my best to educate myself on the history and circumstances leading to this point. That said, as an outsider, I know there’s only so much I can truly understand.
Which brings me to my questions:
For context, I’m (lucky and privileged) Palestinian, so I know what it’s like to have foreigners who sometimes act like overnight experts on your home. I’m hoping to avoid that dynamic and approach this trip with humility and genuine curiosity.
Gracias

Im reading about the aviation fuel shortage in Cuba and that tourists could get stranded there. How big of an issue is this today? And also, if this were to affect me (traveling from end of January to end of February) cant i just take a boat to Mexico for example, and continue from there?
I am from Russia and I am planning to visit Cuba this December.
It was always my dream, and I think that it is time to make it true :-)
I heard about chocolate deficit. So I would like to know what the best I can bring as a"tip". And also I think that I can bring something to sell like baskets... But I know also that it is illegal.. So any piece of advice... Thank you in advance
From Russia with love to 🇨🇺🇨🇺🇨🇺
Currently learning Spanish and never thought about Cuba until I saw the flag randomly. Forgive me for the over simplistic question but I'm trying not to just YouTube it.
Edit : if you left Cuba and moved to Germany or America or Canada and your kid asked you "mom dad what was Cuba like" what would you say
This happened in Havana today. What they see is not people against people as they say on the news. Those who are actually repressing are the Cuban riot troops dressed in civilian clothes, armed with pistols. They are the only ones who have weapons in Cuba
Hi everyone. I'm cuban living in Cuba. Of course all of you are free to say whatever you want, but it make me feel uneasy that everytime i see something in this reddit is about the bad things we have. Just remember that every coin has two sides. If someone want to know how terrible things are here, a quick search in their favorite browser is more than enough. If you need a space to speak what you think about comunnism or gov (unfortunately, there is a law that say you can't "blame very hard" a person from the gov in any social media or you will get into troubble) use this, but also make sure to talk about what make you happy in this sad times. Have a good day!
EDIT: I forgot to mention that one of the biggest defects of Cubans is that if you don't criticize the government to death, you are a cyberclaria, you are from the government, you don't care about the problems that people go through, you don't know what you are talking about, etc.
To go, not to go? What are the current negatives at airports, transportation buses and all-inclusive resorts?
¿José Martí sería recordado por los cubanos en ese scenario ?
Cómo una cuba español sería desde los años 1900-2024 ? Cómo la guerra civil en España afectaría a Cuba ?
