A place for all discussions and sharing of things about the Australian Psychedelic band King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
The Values of this sub should line up with the values of the lads, so we won't accept any form of Racism, Homophobia, Transphobia or Sexism. Zero tolerance for any of this, including trying to bait people into arguments, we see this all the time. If you come into this space with this sort of bigotry, it will result in a ban.
Everyone has opinions, and friendly debates are great, but don't be a dickhead. Be kind to your fellow weirdo.
This one is a no brainer, but for clarification, Gizzard related things are fine such as posts about the Murlocs, Leah Senior or Tropical FS. Posts about music recommendations are fine as well at the moment.
Many times when the band makes a post, we get 20 posts made screen-shotting the instagram/twitter post. Please search to see if an update has been posted before you post yours!
Do not post links to leaked/pirated material or posts related to where to find nug streams and/or downloads. This includes “Dm me for the link” comments.
Sharing early access codes for getting tickets is how bots/scalpers get tickets and sell out shows. We know we all want to get those tickets, but please do not post them here.
Phrases like "there is no Planet B" weren't initially coined by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard - most printed references aren't related to the band. (user-made content that references a KGATLW lyric is generally acceptable - but something like a cross-posted picture of literal Vegemite is probably not)
**Something like a consolidated tier-posting thread is okay - but if there are dozens of copycat threads it tends to stifle everything else.
(this includes template-based memes, if there's a viral trend resulting in large quantities of similar images)**
**After some discussion, we are banning posts that are AI generated, including art, music and or text.
Some Clarification though, posts about or featuring Gizzard's use of AI are allowed, as Jason has used it before in his art. Posts that happen to have AI art in them, but aren't the main focus of the post are fine.
(So no “I put in this gizzard lyric into an AI art generator, but-).
Discussions about AI art in regards to the band are fine as well.**

Don’t have any proof, don’t have any doubts
If you haven't seen Daikaiju go to this Saturday night if your still in town or live here.
so i bought tickets originally for the lawn but after okc i need to get into the pit. went on stubhub and bought pit tickets, but once i got the ticket in my account on ticket master is says “lawn1 general admission” while my old tickets say “lawn general admission” is this something i should be worrying about? are lawn1 and lawn tickets the same?
on a side note if the tickets are lawn tickets how easy is it to theoretically make my way into the pit?
Dedicated to Nathan.
5th release in my series of compression-free remasters where the goal is to make the audio as clean and loud as possible. Includes Bonus Remix.
Wanted to get this out there before continuing through the rest of the tour because it's so good. I might do the Interior People debut too but I'm working on the Boston show at the moment.

Hey Floridian Gizzheads!
What are people thinking about the potential hurricane next week? I have tickets to the St. Aug show and am getting a bit nervous that the show won’t happen.
I’ve been in Florida for less than a year and still new to these hurricanes lol. My first time seeing King Gizz was back in August for the Asheville show so I don’t know how they handle weather. Is there reason to worry or is it too soon to tell? TIA!
this song is so stupid good
Discovered near Tampa. Apparently he can fix those holes in the floorboard too.
This will be my first time in Austin for the show and I just realized the Amphitheater is far away from downtown. I found posts about rally.co buses but they are all sold out. Renting a car is not an option. Is Uber my only choice? Can imagine it’s going to take forever and a small fortune to get an Uber for the ride back. Do I have any other options?
Thanks in advance!
I’m curious to know if they’d be willing to do repeats as time goes on. I know they used a spreadsheet for this tour to avoid playing repeats but eventually I feel as if it wouldn’t hurt to play another banger in the same city they’ve played it in before again.
Any suggestions?
anyone got one?
Hi! I’m flying solo for my first time down to Texas to see this beautiful band twice. I’ll be at both the 11/15 and 11/16 shows.
Looking to meet up with people and make some new friends. Texas homies, give me any and all recs, must eats, potential stops, anything and everything.
I’m camping in the barstop area and then staying south west just outside of Houston. Looking to get some BBQ, some Tex Mex, tryna hit a Buc-ees, but let me know what else I should get in on. And I’ll definitely be attending the Houston meetup.
So excited to be spending the weekend with everyone and rock out with the boys 🤘
The album came alive during this year's tour. Seeing how far they've come with the table since the title track's debut in Hamburg is incredible. It feels as though the album brought their live shows to an entirely new level; similar to how the metal material on Rat's nest did in 2019 when it was introduced. I love how the songs were written to be broken down and re-arranged to match the vibe of the show. Compare "Set" in Philadelphia to "Set" from Chicago and you'll see what I mean; the former is a climax to the entire set and the latter is an improvisational trip.
As a result, I've enjoyed the studio album much more than I did on release, though I primarily listen to the "middle ground" mix of the album I made which matches PDA's length and makes the shorter version feel more complete.
I can't see this as anything but an S-tier record when live performances are considered. What do you all think?
