Nutted from music to walk home by???

I got mega high with my sneaky link earlier and then I started listening to music when he left. I was listening to music to time home by and I literally nutted without touching myself. Like it felt like an actual organism?

What are your hopes for Current’s 10th anniversary next year?

I’d like to see Kevin’s demo for perfect illusion (which was 99% a demo from the currents sessions) released with the inevitable vinyl box set/edition.

Also I think I’d be willing to travel and see a set of currents performed in it’s entirety like what was done for Lonerism but I’m not optimistic.

What would you like to see?

Appreciation post for Lonerism Unreleased Demos

there are some of the most beautiful Tame Impala songs hidden here and it annoys me that songs like Track 4, 9, or 10 didn’t get a proper release.

These songs are such an amazing introspection into Kevin’s creative process with Lonerism, which many (including me) consider his best album. It’s so obvious that he wanted this album to be more pop but couldn’t out of fear, and these demos show it so well.

These are some of his greatest pop songs all unreleased because of him fearing his audience, which also makes me appreciate Currents more because it’s such a bold leap as an artist that he just couldn’t do with Lonerism.

My very special Tame Impala memory...

I was just chatting about Tame Impala with someone, and it conjured up this very special old memory, which I thought I'd share with you all, as I currently find myself feeling all kinds of warm and fuzzy ways recalling it.

I was on a trip to Las Vegas and Los Angeles with my best friend at the time. We'd booked it last minute as rates were very cheap. The truth is, they were cheap to other places at the time as well, but I had a secret agenda behind why I pushed for Vegas, and that was the fact that the girl I'd fallen madly in love with a couple of years prior lived there. But I also did/do really like the vibe of Vegas + LA- they were just a bonus though.

Shortly after landing, I went with my friend to meet up with her and immediately got butterflies in my stomach- I was completely enamoured by her. The day or two that I wouldn't see her after that initial meeting, she was all I could think about. It just so happened that my birthday would fall in the middle of the trip, and she and her best friend offered to take us for a night on the town the night of my birthday- it was a sort of double date.

She decided to take us to this incredible old dive bar away from the strip and all the touristy stuff, where locals go. I still remember it so vividly, despite this now being an almost 10 year old memory. It was this dimly-lit spot with wooden walls, bench seats, and a few tables, and a big old jukebox in the middle.

I walked up to said jukebox and chose Feels Like We Only Go Backwards.

Man, from this moment on, just recalling it, my eyes swell up with tears of joy and hairs stand on my arms.

Soon as it began to play, she threw me those "come over here" eyes and motioned the same with her index finger. We began to slow dance- it was the first time we ever really touched in anything resembling a romantic way. It was also the first time in my life I ever experienced tunnel vision (is that what it's called?) like in the movies, where everything around the person is blurred, like they're at the end of a tunnel. All I saw was her; everything around her blurred, and we were the only two people in the world for the duration of that song. I felt like I was soaring. It was the perfect moment, and, honestly, probably my favourite moment in my entire life, which has otherwise been ridden with big troubles and great misfortunes. Even through all the awful stuff I've got to deal with, I can think back on that moment and get a big hit of dopamine, so I'm grateful to have experienced at least that.

Sadly, things never worked out between us, but that's okay, I'm happy to have known her for as long as I did, and to have experienced her on several trips out there in the capacity that I did. I'm just glad to know she's doing well and seems to be happy- she deserves the blue from the sky and so much more. I also look forward to someday hopefully having a family of my own and having my children experience the same chemical reaction I did when I was with her, when they're with the ones they love.

I already was a big fan of Tame Impala before that moment, and have been since, but that moment alone really solidified that song as a personal forever-important/sentimental/nostalgic smash hit.

Taxi's Here

Forever this song has been such a haunting but weirdly uplifting part of my life. It's always verged on my favourite song of all time. Something about it makes me shiver everytime.

Just wanted to say that as my first post for some reason lol
