(chain and pendant has sentimental value)
this is my first ever chain and i’ve kept in it good shape for many years. i have a stainless steel chain with a pendant, it has a very small diamond on it though (don’t know how plating would affect the diamond) but i want to convert it to a silver plating for aesthetic reasons and was wondering if it was worth plating it. if i had the money i would get a custom made silver chain and pendant with said diamond unfortunately moneys tight, so this would be a christmas gift and blessing. the chain is perfect in my opinion; meets criteria with my neck and body, has a good design to it, and has been very durable as i’ve had it for 4 years. if anyone who has done this could give me feedback or a jeweler who deals in this, it would be much appreciated. thank you
one of my favorite pieces to wear. ✨ my grandmother inherited these herself. a friend of mine told me that one side says constantinople in arabic. has anyone an idea from when these could be and can someone translate any further?
It kinda feels incomplete idk
What do you all think of this design. I love it. This has been made from my engagement ring and eternity ring. They were both looking well worn. So I asked for them to be made into one ring.
for christmas I really want gold earrings and a gold necklace because I’m so sick of my jewelry turning me green! I need something that I can wear every day in the shower without taking off (because who has time for that!) I’ve been doing research about what kind of gold to buy and everything is saying that only 24k gold doesn’t tarnish. Is that true? Do I really need to get 24k gold? or could a 14k work? Also any recommendations on good places to buy this kind of stuff? I don’t own any real gold at this point so I’m no expert here
saw this green round pendant on youtube and i’m just wondering what brand this pendant is? can anyone recognize it?
Hey Friends,
Hope you all doing well!
I usually never write such reviews, but my fiance's reaction to the engagement ring has left me no choice. My partner absolutely loved the ring and my experience with Friendly Diamonds was incredible! I recently purchased an engagement ring during their Black Friday Early Access Sale, and I couldn’t be happier with how seamless the entire process was. From choosing the perfect lab diamond to selecting the setting, every step was straightforward and stress-free.
What truly stood out was their clear communication—they kept me updated at every stage, ensuring I always knew what to expect. The craftsmanship of the ring is breathtaking, and the sparkle of the diamond exceeded all my expectations. Purchasing during the early sale not only gave me a fantastic deal but also an experience that felt personalized and thoughtful.
If you’re considering buying an engagement ring or any jewelry, I wholeheartedly recommend Friendly Diamonds. I'm planning to buy a necklace for my wife this Christmas, and I know this is the place where I'm placing my order at. The combination of quality, transparency, and exceptional service truly made this a memorable purchase!
My wife has a had a beautiful but really exhausting time raising and breastfeeding our two sons (2 years and 2 months) the last two years with me. She deserves the best, but I only work part-time due to further training, so we don't have tons of money. She mentioned that she would love to have some diamond earrings. I personally love creoles on her. Her engagement ring is also yellow golden with a diamond. Now to my question: does this seem like a good deal to you? Do you think it's beautiful? The 18kt (750) would be 200€ more. (790€ = 830$).
anyone know any good websites or stores that fit this criteria? i wanna get one for my lady this christmas.
What is your experience with gold Alex and ani necklaces? Do they turn green or silver or do they keep their gold color well?
I’ve made my Stella stack in so many gems and tones but this greenish sapphire with rose gold is my favorite 🤩
How do I go about finding who made/designed a piece of jewelry? I have a one off piece designed and made out of several rings. All I know is my grandmother said someone designed and made this ring out of her several wedding rings for her. Best guess is late 80’s early 90s and most likely in San Antonio Texas. As far as I can tell there are no markings on it.
Hi all!!
My mother has some hand surgery about two years ago. Sadly, she still has some swelling in her knuckles that make it hard for her to wear some of her favorite rings. I’d love to get her some that can go over the swelling/adjust to the swelling.
The problem is, most adjustable rings I can find are lower quality. Do y’all know of any that might be of a slightly higher grade?
Thanks much!
Hey everyone!
I wanted to ask if anyone could provide their experience or input when it comes to deciding on a 14k or 18k ring, specifically a Miami Cuban link.
I grew up in a Latin household and my mom had always wore 14k and told us to buy 14k when it comes to yellow gold jewelry.
However, as I’m growing up, I’m also in the market for buying a watch soon whether that be Rolex or Cartier. When researching and reading online, these brands and specifically Swiss watches usually use 18k gold.
I now don't know whether to go for 14k or 18k as I want 14k for the durability but want my jewelry to match or look very similar in color to the potential watch I will buy which will most likely be 18k.
Is it that big of a deal and what do you recommend? My other jewelry like 14k necklaces and pendants, I rarely take off when working out or showering. I’m also not sure if that would have to change with 18k.
For reference, the ring will be a Miami Cuban ring from Daniel Jewelry Inc.
Hi! I was just wondering if anyone knew if the hundred summers chain by Catbird is proprietary, or if (like many of their other chains) it's a common chain style by another name? For example, the Sweet Nothing Chain is a "singapore" or twist chain.
I only wear rose gold which seems to wax and wane in popularity, and am having a little bit of trouble finding solid 14k rose gold chain options in various lengths beyond cable chains. I have a gorgeous 1.2mm rope cable chain in 24", but can't find it in 7" or 30". I've been crushed since catbird stopped producing most of their pieces in RG and am looking for alternates. I would greatly appreciate any recommendations for designers/shops who carry similar styles in RG, and would also love if anyone knows where I might find charms and things similar to their diamond fizz charms.
I've been scouring etsy but end up sifting through hundreds of listings of filled/plated pieces listed as solid gold when I attempt to filter them. I also wouldn't say no to perusing any cute designers you love that offer RG options as well. Thanks!
