Hi guys! I found an old hungarian song where is maybe jamaican patios language but it has no lyrics for that part. It's a concert version so maybe difficult to understand. Can you help me to write down that part? It starts from 3:40 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCR7wzoDVCg) Thank you so much!
I know there's other subs for Jamaica from a tourist perspective but this is the 'JAMAICA' sub I frequent regularly. If mods prefer this question to be out of bounds I understand and won't be upset if removed. 🙏🏽
Question preamble, I've been traveling into Jamaica (Kingston and Mobay) since 1990 and after I purchased my first property I dropped out of the lame all-inclusive (pretend) experience and now have loads of connections and of course many yaardie connections I interact with regularly.
I only booked one-way flights for the past few years without any issues leaving Canada or entering Jamaica without a return ticket. My wife bounced out a couple weeks ago and just flew back in with all sorts of challenges without a return ticket and ultimately had to book a return flight before they'd let her check-in for departure.
It's not a huge problem but wondering if anyone has some insight into so called (nonsense) 'rules' about having a return flight?
P.S. I get the obvious regarding 3 month max for Canada passports but the return flight ticket does nothing to enforce this limit as I've skipped a return flight many times so the rule is useless inconvenience IMHO. We either extend our visa with Babylon or just bounce for a couple weeks when we come close to going over the 'approved' limit.
I strong suggest you visit Blue Hole in westmoreland!! Reggie and all of his friends out on a great show diving into the hole. You can even go to the ganja farm and do a tour with the guy Wabba!! My favorite part of our visit was meeting Billy the goat! He loves beer and will drink anything you give him!!
I am searching all over the internet for information about how I can own an devon house I scream franchise. I found some numbers and called but I can't reach anyone. I received an email during one of my contacts but the email wss blocked and another was not deliverable. I would love to open a franchise but I do not know the steps and there isn't anything on the internet that I've seen. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I've seen a lot of negative options of the country, mostly from Americans but is ther anyone that is happy with the Chinese and their developments in Jamaica?
Just curious as to why beef is so cheap in Jamaica vs chicken?
Yeah, I get the jerk chicken taste is fabulous and even addictive but how can beef be so cheap when it's such high quality grass fed and finished? It's easily twice the price in USA. Also, why isn't there a local butter available in stores?
Thanks and blessings!
P.S. I may not belong in this sub to many Jamaican's perspectives but I am not a tourist, I just live here most of the time and bounce out and back to avoid interaction with Babylon VISA extensions.
Hello everyone,
I’m looking for recommendations for a local transport service or taxi driver in Kingston who speaks Spanish. I have a team of workers staying in the area for a month, and they will need transportation around Kingston. If you know of anyone reliable who can help, please let me know!
Thanks in advance!

I have been into family ancestry since I was in middle school. I’m 28 now (for the record I’m a Caucasian male with mostly French, English, and Irish heritage). Today, I found out that after years of thinking one of my 6th great-grandmothers was Native American, that was actually misinterpreted and she was really Jamaican. She was a slave brought to New England and had a child with a French man (my 6th great grandfather).
This is crazy to me because I’ve been traveling to Jamaica and doing service work in Kingston since 2017, and I even lived there for one year. I love the island and its culture. I’ve felt like Jamaica has a special place in my soul. Learning this is such a nuanced thing - it’s terrible because you know what happened with my 6th great grandmother, but also fascinating that my bloodline and history takes this route. However, culturally and genetically speaking, I understand that I am a white American. I want to be sensitive to the reality that I cannot just claim that I am Jamaican, or black. But, her story is deeply personal to me. I can’t believe my family never knew about it…I guess my question is, how can I respectfully share her story and talk about my ancestry traced back to the island, and my own experiences in Jamaica, while not coming off as culturally appropriating? How would that be perceived? Is it okay to link and talk about? Or should I just keep quiet?? It’s so interesting to me, and even though I understand it’s so long ago, the reality is I wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for her story. What are your thoughts??? Thanks!
I was wondering what does it mean when someone answer; « Wahgwan Wah! » when somone said wahgwan to them.
Is it rude?
I am a US citizen and a Jamaican citizen. I will be going back home to spend a few months however my Jamaican passport is expired. Can I still present my expired Jamaican passport to immigration when I get to Jamaica?
