I may have strayed too far from the folk category to qualify here, but not really sure what genre this track fits under? It started off as an indie folk song and I got carried away developing ambient textures and synth drums around it... But at its heart it is very much an indie folk tune.

Has anyone heard “California Blues” by new artist Alex Amen?
Im a musician in Nashville and I typically make more rock style music. I just wrote this one called Becoming A Ghost and have no idea the genre, but I’d like to make more. To me it’s neat, but perhaps it totally sucks. Thanks for listening to this shameless plug and also telling me what the hell indie folk is.
Hoping this will come across the right person. ISO indie music magazine from 2008-2010 that featured a 2 page spread of a hand drawn map of an indie music festival and all the artists on each stage. Each stage was a diff genre of indie music (i.e - "indie freak folk" etc. I remember the freak folk stage had cocorosie, devandra banhart, Quinn walker...) it might have been "under the radar" magazine but I can't find anything. I'm just looking for a photo of it if anything. Thanks !
Narrow Road to the Deep North by Nicolas and the Iceni.
This is a new single my good friend and I made from our new 4 song EP. We created this project many years ago and got some traction on MySpace (hah) before it went on the back-burner.
The entire EP is streaming on all major services and Bandcamp.
