After finally breathing a sigh of relief seeing the roster return to shelves after 3 long years, production was halted once again.
I hadn't seen it at the store the last few weeks and after some research it looks like production was showdown until at least Labor Day due to a quality issue with the peepers.
The start of the 2024 Sriracha-lypse.
Which do you prefer!
I love the red. The green tastes "chemical-y" to me, but sure if I got a bad bottle.
Picked this up short dated from Hone Bargains, I’d never heard of it and didn’t realise it was Ed Sheeran until I got home and read the bottle.
Nice and hot I thought, even though it only says two chilli’s on the bottle. A little vinegary but a nice aftertaste and only 84p, wouldn’t buy again but always nice to try something new.
I started getting into hot sauce about 2 years ago. Here's mine
Someone posted a picture of Huy Fong sriracha at the grocery store that looked kinda yellow. And yea, Huy Fong isn’t as red as it used to be. But it doesn’t look like THAT. The color tone in that photo was off in its entirety. Here’s a bottle I just bought for reference.
Found this today while shopping. Have my opinions, but curious of others.
Found at my local grocery outlet. Rocky seems trustworthy.
I don't really post much, so if I'm breaking any rules or not respecting any stickies my bad!
I'd say I have roughly 110+ sauces currently in active rotation. (The wife may or may not think I have a problem haha...)
Nevertheless, I'm always looking for new and interesting sauces to add to the collection. There's just so many out there! And I'm hoping to discover some cool new sauces via this thread.
My top 2 currently are:
My 2 least favorite are:
What are yours?
The hot sauce from yesterday
This is probably the worst sauce I’ve ever had. I can’t even explain how bad this stuff is, I don’t even know how to describe the taste but it’s unappealing at best. Does anyone actually like this stuff? I’ve never thrown out a sauce I didn’t like, I usually find uses for them, but damn this one might end up in the trash.
Found it online and gave it a shot. I like the flavor a lot. It’s been so long since I’ve had OG huy fong that I can’t really compare. I went with the extra hot and it’s just the amount of heat I was looking for. Only thing I don’t like is it says on the bottle to consume within 4 weeks of opening! I only use sriracha on certain things so I need a bottle that lasts a lot longer that that!
I love smokey sauces. Can't get enough. Anyone else? Any recommendations?
I tweaked a recipe for a marinate for grilled chicken to be grilled at a charbroiled grill to get that smokey flavor. I’m looking for something that won’t overpower the marinate. Something with good heat / flavor.
The marinade if you want to try (Good for Chicken or Pork)
Blend until you get a sauce like consistency and apply the marinate over chicken.
So they give out a birthday code and I had some rewards from following and it made this set cost 14 shipped. I regret not getting Caribbean but I couldn't pick one to remove
I haven’t seen many posts about Tabasco Habanero, and I think it deserves more attention. It’s a great blend of fruits with heat and slightly thicker consistency than the standard Tabasco.
Does anyone have any recommendations of a good habanero hot sauce? I’m looking to get some as a gift to my dad.
Seriously, if you can find these chili peppers you gotta try em. They're the bomb diggity. Also couldn't turn down "creamy ghost"
This has been my favorite sauce to put on pizza. This stuff kicks my ass 😅😅
chili flakes and chili peppers in some type of olive oil — the nozzle is wrapped in aluminum foil, and I can only assume it’s because this was being used in the kitchen
While visiting, a restaurant gave me a cocktail dish of red chili flakes and seasoning when I asked for hot sauce. Just a dish of dry rub
I brought home some piccante from the local grocery store, and it stings the nostrils like a wasabi. Also, it’s lowkey offensive to ask for hot sauce at some dining places — it’s like spitting in the chef’s face, because the chef would’ve added hot sauce if he wanted to, so keep that in mind if you ever decide to visit
I’m almost out of my huy fong brand sriracha. What should I get ? I like their heat level but after being on this site I seemed to be missing out
