Hello,
Can you please recommend the BEST short horror games you know of?
Any game under 4 hours on average to beat.
Thank you.
Hey guys, so I found that Postal 1 was free on Steam (alongside the first 2 The Elder Scrolls games) and I wanted to see if there are any late 90s/early 2000s horror/disturbing games that are free on Steam. Thank you all.
So a while back, I a walk-through of this game you have a think a certain amount of moves to hide you and your brother from this like creature that would come in and try to find and kill you and then there is a second game where the brother survived. It might’ve been a brother it might’ve been like a mother and a child. I vaguely remember a bear, but I remember they would be like a set amount of turns for each hiding spot, and only like a few hiding spots could win you’d have to like leave donuts out for the dude and then he spends like one of his moves eating donuts one of his moves knocking down the things you said, blocking the door, and then like other moves looking through hiding spots. This was probably a horrible description, but if any of you know what this game is, that would be appreciated
So if anyone knows about this game, it would be very helpful. I was really scared of this game a while ago and I kind of wanna find it again it’s not dead plate. It kind of sounds like it but it’s not. It’s like this game where you are like a cute animal in the town of a bunch of cute animals. And you were in a restaurant and you’re like running the cute little restaurant but every night, there’s like a segment where I think the boss of the game has like people in the basement that they’re slowly like cooking and eating and feeding to all of the others and they’re like several different endings but basically it’s like in the day here this little animal in a 2-D art style, and then it changes to a 3-D art style, and like all these animals have like several limbs cut off and stuff
I think the first game that really creeped me out was Resident Evil 2. I was pretty young, and the atmosphere was just terrifying - those slow, lumbering zombies and the feeling of being constantly hunted.
I don’t remember the name of the game, or the time frame, this could have been a year ago or so.
Anyway, the trailer had the player hiding in a room and this big monster looking lady opens the door, looks around and slams the door when leaving. Shortly after she bursts back in. I think the player made a noise.
Super vague, I’m sorry, that’s all the details I have for it. I tried searching YouTube for horror game trailers but no luck.
Anybody have an idea of what game I’m taking about?
I'm a sucker for low-poly and anything weird. Looking for any hidden gems yall have found on Itch or elsewhere. This is my current collection looking to add to it.
I’m looking to get into horror games and I need some good recommendations. It could be one no ones know about too. As long as it’s really scary and fun please recommend them to me.
Thank you !
anyone know if beyond handwell is anygood would hate to pick it up then hate it :/
Can anybody recommend a good first person horror walking simulator game for ps5? Doesn’t haven’t to be horror necessarily, could be eerie/unsettling? But with walking mostly
I'm not one for survival horror games, but I saw some clips of this one and thought it was pretty neat: nice atmosphere and a play on 90's alien tropes.
Then I watched a playthrough and, after all that build-up, the PC allows himself to get abducted so he could save his son and friend, and... the game just cuts to the crackpot hippie and the friend's daughter having a happily-ever-after as they're driving off into the sunset? Were there more endings? Was there meant to be a second chapter expansion? A sequel? Anything?...
I've read on wikipedia that the game got a lot of criticism for its writing and silly plot, but honestly, I didn't care about that, what frustrated me was the ending. It really felt like there should have been much more.
Anyone know anything? Did the devs just give up, or was it their plan to deliver an unfinished product all along?
I tried "Don't Scream" a couple of months back, and now I'm obsessed with games that play with your microphone and either are based on your scream, or even better surprise you by it!
There are not so many games that do that, but in this list I found some gems that do exactly that: https://creepybonfire.com/horrortainment/horror-games/the-most-immersive-horror-games-that-listen-to-your-microphone/ like Supernormal that I'm currently playing and I can say its really creepy!
hbu? any suggestions?
Im gonna keep it short. I'm in my "prime teen" so i started liking horror. I want an indie psychological horror with ps1 graphics... Alright im just gonna say it, I want something like Mouthwashing pleas pleasee I loved the game

Rpgmaker games llike corpse party, IB, Mad Father, Misao, Witch's House
Plus some old games like rule of rose, fatal frame, haunting ground, clock tower, alone in the dark, cry of fear, forbidden siren, silent hills, resident evils, parasite eve.
Thanks in advance!
