Since it's Easter for some of us...let's go for an Easter Egg hunting in Video Games...
What's the best and spookiest Easter Egg you're proud you've found?
I was speechless with the Twins from "The Shining" in "Layers of Fear 2", at first I didn't understand what I was just stumbled upon, but when I did I loved the game even more.
Also found these Easter Eggs (most I haven't found) but I found it brilliant: https://creepybonfire.com/horrortainment/horror-games/video-game-easter-eggsthat-will-blow-your-mind/
hbu?
I just want to know, as the title says, if this fits a particular vibe, or if it comes off incorrectly otherwise
See, I'm making a horror-game called Lullabye park
basically you're exploring a defunct amusement park since you're a Thrillseeker
but one of the enemies in the game is named 'phobia', I've already modeled them and such
but I was a bit unsure if I could program it's main gimmick, essentially, when the player boots up the game
it'll ask them to provide some information about themselves, now this won't be used at the beginning of the game, but subtle things will be different for each player, like Phobia for example
depending on what the player is scared of, it'll change to be that. so if the player is afraid of spiders, it'll become more arachnid in appearence and behavior, etc.
I'm unsure if this is a good idea for gameplay
i’m currently experimenting on unreal engine 5 to create an indie horror game based on a pizza delivery with some sort of evil enitity,
i have plans for the overall story and the objective as well as creating a sort of bloomy atmosphere
i am a horror fanatic who loves horror movies and paranormal shit, i overall know what i’m looking for, as in terms for “scary.”
loud ≠ scary
from real life experiences of scary shit that’s given me extreme adrenaline such as: The power going out late at night while in the basement, completely alone as it’s heavily thundering and raining outside with the only other sound is power supplies going off letting off a loud constant beep noise as you can hear creaks in the house.. extremely unsettling right?
what do y’all think would be most scary in a horror game similar to of that real life experience
This is the happyhills homicide if anyone is wondering.
My gf and I are looking for some horror games. But she has 0 gaming experience, so it must be easy, so no puzzles or anything too unforgiving.
I have in mind something simple as the first slenderman game.
Or something interesting like The Quarry.
It can be for any plataform.
I love FMV games since Phantasmagoria...even if I was too little and didn't understand much of the plot, but what I did understand was that the game was way scarier because of the real actors. It felt real and more shocking!
Since then I played tons of FMV games (horror or not) with the greatest ones that got my attention to be Simulacra (the first one) and Erica! Also most of this list as well (which are pretty scary as well): https://creepybonfire.com/horrortainment/horror-games/the-most-terrifying-horror-fmv-video-games-with-real-actors/
It's been a while since I stumbled upon a good one recently though!
What's your fav spooky FMV game?
Only one i know of is Obscure
Yeah my hospital is kinda ancient
As a huge fan of "The Forest" games I got deep into finding more spooky games set in Spooky, Scary or Haunted Forests. I found these: https://creepybonfire.com/horrortainment/horror-games/8-best-forest-horror-games-to-play-in-the-dark/
What's your fav Horror game that makes you go through the dark woods?
