Here are the rules:
1. DO NOT post Let's Play videos or "Fan" Videos/Trailers. They WILL be removed without warning. (Please post them in /r/HorrorGameVideos)
2. Self Promotion is allowed if you work in the industry and want to show a preview of a game, promote a kickstarter, or ask for feedback. (However, please contact the mods first for permission and wait for approval. We do not want to be a dumping ground for incomplete indie projects.)
3. Don't be a dick.
4. Keep the discussion on survival and psychological horror games/series.
Survival Horror means games like Resident Evil (excluding 5 & 6), Fatal Frame, Amnesia, Lone Survivor, etc. Games that, de-emphasize combat, limit resources, have a dread-filled atmosphere, etc.
Psychological Horror games apply to things like Yume Nikki and Silent Hill. Games that have a dreadful atmosphere and wear down on your mind with subtle imagey and sound design, instead of constant in-your-face horror and scares.
Action horror applies to games like Resident Evil 5 & 6, Fear, Doom 3, Left 4 Dead, etc.
Please post about those that fall under Survival and Psychological Horror. If you aren't sure if it qualifies, shoot us a message.

As a person that's really fascinated by user research and data, I figured that combining survival horror with it would be a good place to start. A friend of mine and I have started discussing game design ideas for a game we've been in the process of starting and I wanted to hear some more opinions on your preferences and opinions on survival horror gaming and the state of the genre in the current day. This survey doesn't take over 15 minutes and isn't extremely detailed, so it could potentially be done even faster. I would really appreciate it if you could check it out if you can and leave a response! Thanks so much in advance and I'm excited to read what you've all submitted!

It may be cliché to call a Survival Horror title "a mixture of Silent Hill & Resident Evil" but watch the #WitheringRooms Trailer and tell me I'm wrong. Out now
I stay pretty up to date on survival horror, as it’s my favorite genre. This one totally flew under the radar for me, which is shocking because it’s SO GOOD. I mean, I’m not insanely far in it, but I’ve (spoilers) >!beaten the spider boss and have just gotten the blue key card.!< But, so far, it’s awesome! Feels a lot like RE7 and has that classic survival horror feel with the modern upgrades. I don’t even really know the point of this post other than to say if you haven’t played this yet, check it out! I guess I’ll also ask if there are any other hidden gems like this that I may not know about. I have a bunch of games on my Xbox wish list, but any suggestions are welcome!
I'm currently playing Haunting Ground and I've already played Fatal Frame 1, 2 and 3, Silent Hill 2 and 3 and Clock Tower 3.
