I recently bought a '79 cb125s and its missing a carb and intake boot, was doing research so I can find a replacement but multiple sources say multiple things, all I want to know is the intake diameter for the carb. is it 22mm or 24mm? if anyone can help me out it'd be greatly appreciated
Just replaced the stator on my 1991 CB250 and now it makes this noise. Any thoughts?
Recently got this bike. But when the bike is set to on the running light for the tail light is off, the break light works. And when set to park the running filiment turns on. How do I get it to be on when running?
I am planning to do my head gasket. Any recommendations for the full kit (the other seals coins etc). Do you have a recommendation on the type of head gasket? Should I go MLS or is composite sufficient?
I recently got a ‘73 cb350F that I’m going to give some TLC, I flipped the petcock and my carbs are dumping gas, what could be my issues?
Just picked up a 1995 Nighthawk and I plan on doing a cafe racer build after I get the carbs redone. The gas tank is totally rusted out and has a few small pin holes. It’s tough finding a replacement tank, so I’m wondering what tank you guys are using and how your fitting older tanks to these frame styles. Any help would be amazing
1971 CL350. Rebuilt both carbs a couple months ago and it was running great. Put about 400 miles on it since then and now it seems to be stumbling between 4 and 5k. Lacks power and just runs rough. Once you hit 5k it starts running strong again. I’ve been using only ethanol free fuel. Is this a carb issue or is there something else I need to look at?
I need to put a spring on my oil filter pin thing, and i just did a change recently so i don't need to flush the whole system. How much oil does this release, or will it release all of it? Sorry, first oil change on a vintage bike. For reference it's a 82 450 SOHC
Anyone have any luck putting a 2014 ninja 250 front end on a cl350 frame? Curious if it's (reasonably) possible and what is needed.
Hey! as per the title ive got a '89 CBR600. Im looking to throw some nitrous at it, does anyone have any idea how much power those engines can take before they send a piston through my chest? thank you!
What would be the best way to go about learning how to rebuild a 75 cb750 motor and basicly an entire chopper itself,or I don't know maybe even a mechanic shop that would be good around kcmo? Thanks in advance
I'm looking for a tanks for my 1980 cb750k and may have found a same year cb750f. As far as I can tell the tanks are the same. Anybody know if this correct?
Hello everyone.
Could twisting the throttle fully open for a few seconds after the engine had been running for a few seconds cause any damage? I just took the motorcycle off the trailer, and my neighbor did this. I'm really worried. It's 10°C degrees outside.
Hello, I got this weird issue were I can rev with the light on only until 6k in any gear, but with the light off I can rev all the way no issue.
The Battery says 14.4V without the light and 13.6V with the light.
Thank you for any help.
Bought this beauty as my first bike, currently having driving lessons so i can’t wait to take this thing on the road after it has gotten a good service. Want to change a few things here and there but it’s looking good as is already :)
I have bought a 450 nighthawk and rode the bike when i bought it and it seemed fine, the bike doesen’t cold start properly so i decided to rebuild the carb and noticed that the nozzle main is missing on both carbs (that also means no main jet) the part number is 16166-447-671 and i cant seem to find any places with this part in stock, its a long little emulsion tube, what do i do at this point, im worried there might have been engine damage if this bike was regularly ridden at higher rpm’s. Should i just ignore this part and re assemble the carb. I do want to use this bike as a commuter but im pretty sketched out at how these parts are missing. For anyone with a clymer manual for the honda 400-450cc twins. It is misidentified as the “slow” jet.
So a few months ago I made the unfortunate mistake of dropping my bike and scuffed up the tank pretty bad. I’ve been looking for a replacement but a new one is going to run over $1k and the only used ones I’ve seen have dents of their own or rust. If anyone has a mint fuel tank they’re willing to sell I would be very interested. Bonus points if it’s the factory red but not a must!
82 CB650SC with 25k miles.
I get SOME juice when I rev the engine but I can’t get up to 14V (only gets up to about 10.3V). New battery, new stator (tests good), new regulator/rectifier. My rotor is a bit discolored - could that be my problem? Is there a way to test the rotor?
Winter is coming, and it's time to put the bike for some sleep over the winter in the garage.
According to my maintenance dashboard, I have a few things that needs to be dealt with, e.g., changing oil, air filter, lubrication etc. Should I do all these things before I stove the bike away or would it be smarter to do all these things when spring comes and I'm going to ride the bike again?
Hi everyone! I’m about to be getting a cbr500r and I am super excited the only thing I am having trouble with is finding an aftermarket exhaust that is very screamy, not throaty but definitely on the louder side, I have a grom and navi and have yoshi exhaust and all the review videos I watch of aftermarket’s they sound like my little bikes and I can’t stand that. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what exhaust could be a good fit for what I’m looking for either with or with out a db?
All cylinders firing, good spark, each exhaust got hot, bike is fully warmed up here. Still hear that rattling but less since it’s warm. Also any idea if the smoke here has anything related to that noise, it’s doesn’t happen every time it runs.
