My first "big" motorcycle Honda CB450S :) Runs awesome, looks absolutely cool (but probably I will do some mods for better look) If you have any suggestions - I'll be glad to hear them
Just recently brought a 72 CL175 back to life and one thing I noticed is a spongy mushy shift feeling. It shifts into all the gears reasonably well but I don't get that nice satisfying click sensation that lets me know the transmission has locked into gear, theres really no sensation at all when upshifting. I just lift the lever up till it reaches the top of its travel, then let the clutch lever out/apply throttle and I hear the rpms have dropped so I know its shifted. This is the first vintage CB I've owned/ridden, but my 82 MB5 in contrast has a very defined, crisp tactile clicking sensation when you shift gears, you can feel it and hear it. This engine is not original to the bike (in fact its a CB175 engine) and I don't know the mileage, so could just be worn components. I've tried adjusting the clutch cable from tight to extra slack and everywhere between, no difference. The shift lever itself is in good shape and has no play on the shift shaft spindle. The oil is fresh. My next step is to pull the right side clutch cover off and investigate the shift mechanism components, but what should I be looking for that can cause this mushiness? Hopefully its something behind the clutch cover that can be easily replaced and not something like worn shift forks/shift drum/gear dogs that would require splitting the case.
If anyones got ideas for specific parts to inspect heres the relevant schematic https://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cl175-scrambler-1972-k6-usa_model543/partslist/E15.html

Anyone know of a round headlight assembly? Or have you had any experience swapping it out?
about to pick up a 90 cb-1. any tips for a newbie? it's also gonna be my first carbed bike. also, does it have a rev limiter? I saw a vid of someone doing a pull and he seemed to hit 14k or higher before shifting up at some points.
Curious as to what it is because I saw the cover was bending out and I could see the wire end unscrewed it and the whole inside of the box fell about into my hands
Hi guys, just an update on my 74 CB750. I’ve been rebuilding the engine, and posting pictures and questions on the VHT forum, but thought I’d make a quick post here. I originally thought I would buy a replica tank and paint it myself with freedom green metallic when I came across a NOS tank on eBay in the color I needed! So a weeks paycheck later, and I’ve got a beautiful tank on the way!
Hi, just wondered is there any quick connects for the battery on the cb125r 2023 model instead of the convoluted way, of taking everything off just to get access to the battery.. thanks in advance!
Front brakes are mechanical so I have to stay with cables. Problem is I replaced the old handlebars with some new ones and now the brake cable sits like just shy of the housing, off by literally 2 inches. Anyone know if a brake cable extender exists? It's either I spend 100 bucks on someone making me custom cables or I find something to slightly extend the cable.

If anyone is willing, could someone help me see if I am just blind and dumb or if this product is just not being sold anywhere currently. I've seen the can itself being sold but not with the pipe that has the bend in it. I believe I found the part # to be 1210028520. Any help appreciated.
Hi! I rewatched some videos I took while riding and came upon this short neural position.. while accelerating in 5th.
So I remember this moment and I was definitely only worried for that moment as everything felt normal and I did some gear changes in and out 5th after and everything is feeling alright. You can hear her jump some rpms in first clip.. are this first signs of wear as I clutch less up shift most of times (I swear Iam pretty ok with that 🥲 I really rarely misshift, and don’t force shifts when I feel resistance ;) Ok I even gonna attach a clip, so u can see how I shift her.
Is this a real issue? I’m gonna oil change the next weeks anyway (including that behind the clutch Filter thingy 👍 so I’ll see if I have some gear tooth in there xD) I’d like to hear opinions 🤙 Thx
I have a cb300f and it's time to change the tyres, could you suggest which tyres would work best for both highway and city rides? I also do touring from time to time so a tyre that works well even in a bit offroad would also help. I have taken a look at pirelli's rosso Il but they don't last long. Also looked at pilot street 2 and metzeler. I am confused and not sure on what to buy. I want something that lasts from 13-14k at least. My rear tyre's section is 150/60 r17 and front is 110/70 r17.
I bought what I thought was the original color for my 1972 cb350. Flake matador red. After painting the side covers it came out way darker than I thought. I do like the darker shade, and I have to buy more paint anyway to do the rest of the bike. Should I redo in candy red or just send it in the darker shade for the rest of the bike?

Posting this for the guy who was asking about if anyone has found tank grips that fit the 650f. I bought a set from a cbr and just trimmed them to fit where I wanted them.
Just wanted to showcase the progress I've made on my baby.
Mikuni VM34 2-into-4 carburetor conversion.
Not chopped, no rust.
She absolutely rips. I bought it for $800; it had been sitting for 10+ years. Five months later, and I love this bike
Does this sound like piston slap I can't tell
So im already mid swap but i realized a few differences between these 2. The bike is a 1980 cm400t and the original engine is blown up and its the one thats out of the bike, i was told the other one is out of a 1979 cb400t. I have began the swap and i noticed the new engine has a kickstart, no where for the tachometer cable and also doesn’t seem to have an electric starter. Will i be able to finish my swap and get it running? What problems might i run into? Is there really no electric start?
Got this beauty today. My first time riding a bike and I don't know if this is right, but my bike dies in 1st gear after shifting and releasing the clutch, even when im releasing slowly. It's a delicate balance after giving some throttle and the second gear shifting is much better. Is it normal that I can't be at a full stop with the bike stopped in first? Do I need to be in neutral? Thanks guys
I really love the look of the tech spec tank pads but unfortunately they dont have a direct fitment for the Cb650F. Has anyone had any luck fitting any to their bike and if so which model did you go with?
When the petcock is off the idle is smooth but as soon as I turn it on it sputters and stops. As well as the main carb leaking fuel assuming the float is stuck open. If anyone has an idea to what is going on?
