Hey all :) me and a buddy went in on a 1978 hawk 2 cb400, we both like the idea of it being a scrambler style. I'm looking for a set of either dual sport or straight off-road tires to throw on it. I know it's a lil dumb but the thing doesn't have a title and we had a lot of decent dirt trails we want to take it on. Any ideas?
Hello. I have a problem that oil pressure light won't light up when I turn the key. I have a suspicion that it might be just a bulb and I will check that first but I want to know where the oil pressure sensor is because I can't find it anywhere, even in service manual. Does anyone know where it could be?
For those who own 2024 model of hornet 750, i heard that it has a choppy throttle at low speeds. Is that true? Can somebody elaborate on this?
I am trying to unlower a 2018 cb500f and I am wondering if someone could tell what this distance is supposed to be between the top of the fork and the frame. They used a lowering link that droped the rear down 1.125 inches so I imagine that is also how far it was dropped in the front. I can't seem to find what this distance is supposed to be anywhere.
Here's the FB ad for it: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/524268006915397/
I'm considering checking this bike out as I've been in the market for a CB750. This looks to be mostly all original but in the pics I've seen online, the exhaust has two pipes on either side. Is the exhaust not original or just a slightly different dealer variant? Also, can anyone chime in on whether this generation is a solid bet? Would be my daily and I've only owned sportbikes up until now so I'm venturing into unknown territory. All opinions/comments welcome, thanks!
Hi guys and gals back again about my cbf125M...have bought new indicators for the front of the bike(as close to OEM as I could) and the wires that came with it are red and black and my original/old indicator wires are blue and green? Any way to tell which is positive and which is negative? Any advice is appreciated thank you all and ride safe 🙏🏻
Hi all, Does anyone know of a cheap gear indicator for my 2015 Honda cb300f? It seems there are loads online but I want to be sure that it's the right fit, aiming for under $50 aud. Thanks for the help 👍
1974 Honda CB360. Bought it last week. I cleaned the carbs + rebuilt the carbs, except for the diaphragms and the floats. It started 2 days ago, but the idle would go up and down by itself. It would barely be running at around 1k Rpm, but then jump up to 3.5k out of nowhere. If anyone has any info they would share it would really be appreciated.
Someone nocked my bike over on its left side yesterday, only a minor scratch in regards to damage. Now it shuts off if I lean the bike a little to the right and won’t turn on unless it’s leaned a little to the left. Could it be the tip over censor ?
I just bought a very old honda that was made in Italy. Usually on the engine there are the brand "Honda" but in this case there are these words too. Anyone knows what could it mean those "I.A.P.I." letters?
Hey y’all! I recently installed the LED upgrade kit from common motor on my 1972 CL175 and both the gauge light and turn signals don’t flash, they just turn on when I use the handle bar control.
I installed the kit the following way:
1.) Start by unplugging the light blue and orange gauge wires from the light blue and orange harness wires.
2.) Next, plug the red wires from the diode into the harness. One red wire goes to the orange wire in the harness and the other red wire goes to the light blue in the harness. Doesn't matter which goes to which.
3.) After that, plug the orange wire from the gauge into the blue wire on the diode.
4.) Finally, plug the light blue wire from the gauge into a spare green wire in the harness
I already tried switching the orange and light blue wires from the gauge light around (orange to ground and light blue to the blue wire on the diode) and swapping the black and gray wires on the new flasher relay around. I also tried testing 4 different flashers (2 from common motor, the original, and one I had laying around) and the problem is the same with all of them. Any tips or something I missed?
First motorcycle
Hey all, I was wanting to get a project motorcycle to work on as I’ve just built a 2001 yz250 and it was fun. I am seeings 80s models locally for anywhere from 300-2000$ CAD but I just found an 06 CB600F hornet for 2250$ with only 40k km. I would be an idiot to not buy this fully running good condition bike right? Or should I stick to a project I was originally going to do?
Thanks

So i have discovered my project bike has dead spark plug caps (infinite resistance). I see that the NGK XD05F are discontinued and had to find. (I can order but will take forever to get to me in Ontario Canada from the states).
My question is can I use non resistor caps (supposed to be 5K OHMS)? what if I sub in 5K ohm spark plugs instead? any help appreciated.
Any recommendations for a cb650 petcock, my OEM leaks even after rebuild and the one I tried from eBay didn't fit
So i need new spark plug caps for my 1980 cb750k but everything i look up shows discontinued. It's part NGK xd05f or NGK 8072.
Does anyone know if there is an alternative spark plug cap i can use?
I'm relatively new to motorcycle maintenance, but I have a 1970 Honda CB 350 that I got up and running after sitting for a while. It ran great for about 30 minutes before the battery died, couldn't kick or push start it. I've heard rectifiers go bad on these things all the time, but just wanted to get some opinions of folks who know better than I do. Thanks!
Hey everyone :) I noticed an oil leak on my '93 CB750 coming from the gasket labeled (8) in the diagram below, and I saw that the gasket itself was dry, cracked, and almost hanging from the bottom of the cover;
I have been trying to remove the countershaft bearing cover (7) after removing all retaining bolts, but it seems to be stuck in place by the part which goes through (11) and (12) (I believe the countershaft). Do I need to remove the countershaft seals to remove the cover? Is there another way I should be approaching this?
Thanks guys, I'm pretty new to working on my bike, I have more experience doing engine works on cars, and I haven't found much pertinent information online.

So, my 1980 cb750k is strange. I put an inline spark tester light and it lights up on my bike. I can feel the wire shock me if I grab them. But, no spark at the spark plug if I hold it against bare metal or the engine. Am I missing something basic here? I've done this before on cars and never had a problem getting the spark to show... Could I be missing a ground wire from the engine to the frame?
Taking advantage of the nice weather
I missed my second service for honda Hness CB350. Does anyone know the cost for the paid service. I also need to kind of patch up some minor scratches too. Any idea about the price.
